Love in Spring (Winter)

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you have fun stuff going on this weekend. I'm doing a little bit of everything...crafting, chores, swimming, cooking...etc.  But that's ok!  I like days like this.  I get some 'me' time, but am still productive:)

There is a challenge going on over in the Kit and Clowder Facebook Group, and it is using a stamp from one of my favorite artists - Ching Chou Kuik.  The image is Love in Spring (and she is available for a discounted rate for a limited time), and the challenge is to color it to represent your favorite season.  Living in Arizona, I just loveeee our winters.  They are so mild - that is the reason we suffer through the heat, lol.  So here she is...my Love in Spring (Winter):

The Copic colors I used are: hair - B21, B24, B26 & B29; wings -C1, C3, B60 & Wink of Stella (clear); dress - C1, C3, C5 & C7; flowers - E71, E77, C1, C3, C5 & B60.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Bo Bunny (Powder Mountain), flowers from WIld orchid & Prima, cheesecloth, and dies by LaLa Land Crafts, Sizzix & Spellbinder. Thanks for taking a peek!

Karleigh Sue - Hot Sunny Day

Hey crafty people!  Today is a new release day for Karleigh Sue, and I'd love to share a card I made using Hot Sunny Day. So fitting for me, considering I live in Arizona, and it feels like a sunny summer day most of the year!  If you check out the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog you can see all of the new stamps, as well as the fabulous makes by the DT:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20 (I used E21 to add freckles); hair - E08. E19, YR14 & YR18; hat - E31, E33, E37, Y17, Y21 & Y32; bathing suit - B00, B12, B16, YR02, YR15 & YR18; chair - E25, E35, E57, Y17, Y21 & Y32; towel - G00, BG13, BG32.  For the glasses I used a metallic gelly roll pen.

For the drink, I added Glossy Accents to the glass, and once that dried, I added Glossy Acccents to the top of the drink, covered with white Sparkly Fluff , to make it look like shaved ice.

The paper and sticker are from Bo Bunny (Barefoot & Bliss), I used a Sizzix die, and flowers from Wild Orchid.  The little glass & lemon embellishment I've had for ages.  Don't for get to check out the Karleigh Sue Inspiration Blog for more, and also check out the Karleigh Sue Challenge Blog for the latest challenge where you have a chance at winning some awesome prizes:)  Thanks for looking!

ABM - Anything Goes FB Challenge

Happy Friday!  Geez, this week went fast.  Time again for a new Anything Goes Challenge over on the Art by MiRan Facebook Page.  I do hope you'll join us!  You can win some awesome ABM digis, and have a chance at being our Guest Designer for a future challenge!  For this month's challenge, I chose to use Parfait Pam.  You can find her, and toms of other amazing images in the Art by MiRan Etsy shop.

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 & R20; hair - G00, BG09, BG49 & BG57; shirt - E40, E43 & E47; skirt - RV000, RV52, RV55 & RV66; ice cream - E13, E15, E18, E51 & RV23.

For the card I used paper and die cuts from the Bo Bunny 'Sweet Tooth' line.  How perfect for this image?  To mimic the straws on the image, I took 2 straws from the kid's juice pouches, and wrapped them in washi tape.  A few flowers and there you have it.  Wanna go grab some ice cream? lol.  Hope you like her.  Have an awesome weekend!  I'm off to work on some DT work for next week.

CC & CC - Something Yummy to Eat or Drink!

Good Morning everyone!  Today's new challenge over at the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges blog is 'Something Yummy to Eat or Drink'.  Our awesome sponsor is Deedee's Digis.  They have a great assortment of images, and such cute designs!  I chose to use Sweet Treats.

I found this to really be quite a challenge, as I've pretty much colored digis of people (with an occasional flower or animal thrown in).  The shading I normally do on a person's face is so different than coloring this adorable cupcake, so I admit it took a few tries.  But I am pleased with the result!

The Copics I used are: E40, E71, E77, BG13, RV02, RV52, RV55, RV81, RV85 & RV89.  I used a white gel pen for his cheeks, and added pink stickles (cotton candy) for the icing.  How cute?!?

For the card I layered paper from the Bo Bunny 'Sweet Tooth' line.  When you have a chance, head over to the Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenges blog to check out all of the DT makes, and enter your own card with Something Yummy to Eat or Drink!

Boy 1: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11 and R20; hair - E53, E57 and E59; shirt - YR02, YR15 and YR18; pants - B91, B95 and B97; shoes - E71 and E77.
Boy 2: skin - E000, E00, E04, E21 and R20; hair - Y21, Y32 and E31; shirt - YG03, YG17 and YG25; pants - E33, E35 and E37; shoes - C1, C3 and C5.

Art by MiRan Challenge #27

It's time for another 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Art by MiRan Challenge blog.  I chose to use the new image Tania.  She is such a cute traveler, and I've had some travel themed paper for a couple of years, just waiting for the perfect project, and this was it! You can enter this challenge up to 3 times, and if you use an Art By Miran image, there's extra opportunities.  Good luck!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E21 and R20; hair - E11, E13, E15 and E17; skirt - B91, B95 and B97; shirt - R56 and R59; leggings - E31, E33 and E37; boots - E57 and E59; hat - BG000, B32, B24 and R56; suitcase - E43, E47 and E49.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Bo Bunny's 'Detour' line, and dies by Spellbinders.  I've always loved this J.R.R. Tolkien quote, and added it to the card (it was from the Bo Bunny paper).  Thanks for taking a peek!

Tip of the Hat

Yay!  I had a chance to play around with another East Image.  This time I colored up Lucy Loo 'Lucy Style I Love You'.  She is one of the images I bought with the discount I won for being a DT pick on their last challenge! It is perfect that she's one that I had to have (lol), because the new challenge on The East Wind Challenge Blog is 'Tip of the Hat'...using a hat somewhere on your project.  Here's what I did with her:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E21 and R20; hair - B000, B00, B12 and B16; shirt - YR31, YR15, Y17 and Y32; hat - C1, C3, C5, C7, YG03 and YG25.

FOr the card, I used Bazzill cardstock, and papers from Bo Bunny's 'A Gift of Love' line, flowers from Wild Orchid and Michael's, and Tim Holz star diecut.  I don't know what it is about these images, but I always tend to do something colorful with their hair.  Anyway...I hope you like her!  Thanks for looking:)
