Today's Beautiful Thing is
this Blog. I don't know David, but he is friends with one of my coworkers and I have been lurking on his Blog ever since he started it. I promise to post a comment this week to let him know I think he's fabulous. You should too! My all-time favorite work of his is
Porcupine and Swan, but they are each really fantastic in their own way. Any time I'm feeling blue, his Blog cheers me right up. Thanks David!
Bonus Beautiful Thing: the photo above. (Click on it to enlarge and read the quote.) I didn't want to post David's work on my blog without his permission, so these adorable kids seemed appropriate. I love this photo. I think it would make an excellent desktop.

Wow. Thank you so much. I was not feeling so great, but your compliment just brightened me right up. Thank You.
Damn. I just realized that I wrote almost the same exact thing you did. I didn't mean to. My mind is not working. sorry. thanks again.
Never appologize for sying something nice! Thank you for that.
And don't feel bad about rejections either. No one gets published the first time he submits something, the second, third or fourth... A friend of mine racked up 32 rejections before she was published. Stephen King had a huge nail on the wall full of them. (Have you read On Writing? It's fantastic.)
Thanks for stopping by. Please do again.
Kim:)
Yeah, I've been building up my rejection collection quite a bit lately. I have not read 'On Writing.' Maybe I'll check it out.
I will stop by again.

You'll love it. And Bird By Bird by Ann Lamott--if you've not read it.
I'll be back to your blog too. Post more stories and colorful pictures to make me smile! :)
