In honor of Atticus, a beautiful Boxer boy whose time with us was much too short.
This is my attempt to find something Beautiful in every single day. If a scarred and abused dog could fearlessly wag his tail and smile at strangers hoping to make friends, surely I can find one thing Beautifully noteworthy to write about daily in his honor. This is my tribute to his kind and gentle spirit. ~Celebrating three years of daily blogging on 1/20/10~

Gimme a Break!
Today's Beautiful Thing is a quick lunch with a friend in the middle of a workday. I don't often leave the office, so it's a nice change of pace.
You don't know me, but a look back down memory lane on my son's blog post of Christmas 2007 brought me to you. You made such a lovely comment on his Christmas post. I looked you up and realized that during that year of 2007, one of change, struggle, pain, hope and joy for me and for my son, you and your , Daily Beautiful Thing posts were a gift of strength and hope to my son along his journey, especially in then. I just wanted to say, thank you. I remember my son commenting on your posts and how much strength and joy they brought him. I hope you finished your book, although I suspect the unfinished book is always the best one, yet. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. God bless and all the best to you and yours. Sincerely,Outlandish Bisquit's mom.
