Not Yours by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello all!

Here is my blog post for this week- In light of what's going on I couldn't help but make this tag.

So, for this tag I used Brushos pigments. I just love them. I used three different reds and a yellow.

I sprinkled  a bit all down the left side with more going out at the top.

Then I spritzed water onto it but not too much. better to add if you need than try to take it off.

I let it soak in a bit then dried with the heat tool. I then stamped the clock upside down.
I then stamped finger lady and open mouth , fussy cut them and painted them with Twinkling H2O's.  I put Glossy Accents on her glasses so they are raised and shiny. Then I went and printed the words from my computer. I found them online. Printed on A transparency.
I took the screaming lady from my stash of paperdolls and attached her on the back. Side note: When you're not feeling super creative, stamp out some images and color/ paint them and put in a box or bag so you have things on hand. Helps when you need a quick card too. I then put the open mouth on the tag and was happy to call it done.
That's all there is to it. Hope you enjoy! Until next time~ stay arty!

Like a Queen - Art Journal Page | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone! It's Sue Plumb here with my latest design team project with you. Today I am sharing a whimsical style art journal page that I created on some loose leaf black A4 cardstock. I don't often create on dark backgrounds, but I felt like a change of pace.

I started by creating my background using Dylusions acrylic paints and a stencil from StencilGirl. I stamped over the top using black ink with the Wildflowers Silhouette stamp; and around my page using the Sky of Stars Background with a Distress Oxide.

I created my "whimsical being" using a variety of stamped pieces put together - Striped LeggingsDressformSet of WingsCat Mermaid. I simply stamped, cut, coloured and pieced.

The border was stamped also using a Distress Oxide with the Doodle Frame stamp and I used the Treat Me Exactly Queen phrase stamp to add text to my page.

I used Distress Oxides again with the Beautiful Lily and Leaves and 3 Extra Leaves stamps to add extra detail over my background (love how these look over a black background!); and added gold splatters using a Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray.

You can see how I put this page together in my process video on the VLVS YouTube channel:

Thanks for stopping by so I could share this with you, I hope I have inspired you to get inky too!

Watercolour Bookmarks | Sue Plumb

Hi everyone!
Sue Plumb here today to share my latest design team project with you. I have been inspired by some of the fabulous tags that some of the team have produced lately and wanted to try my hand at something similar. Being the practical Virgo I am though, I really wanted them to have a purpose, so I decided to make some new bookmarks for my daughter. (She reads constantly and is always losing her bookmarks.)

I wanted to create something colourful (she loves colour) and also something that was a little bit quirky, but also with positive theme for her.
I started by cutting some white cardstock into pieces measuring 2.5x7"; then stamped the background patterns on using Staz On ink.
The stamps I used for my three backgrounds were:

Once I had the backgrounds stamped I added the watercolour using Colour Blast Colour Shimmer Dust, which I mixed with water and applied simply with a brush. (I used the colours Paris; Peacock; and Velvet.) I then set them aside to dry while I moved onto the focal images.

I used some of the left over cardstock and Staz On ink to stamp out the images that were to be the focal points.
The three stamps I used were:

I used Faber-Castell watercolour pencils to apply colour to each of the images, which I then blended out using a water brush before cutting them out

I then chose 3 quotes to add to each bookmark:

I stamped them onto cardstock; cut them out; then blended a small amount of watercolour pencil over the top. I then used Miracle Tape to stick the images and quotes onto my backgrounds before putting them into a laminating pouch and running them through the laminator.

Once they were laminated, I cut around each of the bookmarks. I used a hole punch to add a hole to the top of the blue one before tying a small tassle to it with twine.

My daughter was THRILLED with her new bookmarks, so I think there will be more of them being made at some stage. (I think these would make great little thank you gifts / teacher presents / party favours for older children - anyone who loves to read, really!)

Thanks for stopping by so I could share this with you. I hope I have inspired you to get inky too!

Flower Pot Pants by Fiona

Hello VLVS! fans!!! Fiona here with you today to share a creepy little art journal page I created with the fabo stamps from Viva Las Vegas!

I call this one "Flower Pot Pants" LOL I just love these stripped leggings and I love to find weird and wonderful ways to use them in my art journal.

And of course it wouldn't be a garden of flower pot pants if it didn't have a bird in it!! Right?? luckily VLVS has the best whimsical selection of birds to choose from that suit my weird O garden perfectly!

I'm not much of a flower drawer but i can do abstract!! Which is exactly what this page needed.

I won't go into too many details about how I made this gorgeous little doll. I'll leave you to watch the tutorial.

I'm not sure why I made him ..... I suppose I don't really need a reason.

But I have definitely fallen in love with him ..... He is my Transgender fairy Queen!

"Blame My Gypsy Soul" An Art Journal Spread by Fiona

Hello my lovely Viva Las Vegastamps friends. Fiona here with you today to share a little journal spread I created using the gorgeous rubber from VLVS.

Lots and lots of layers went into this one!

And then I decided I needed a little feature piece so I created this little boy from the "Striped Leggings" stamp, the "Crown" stamp and the "Horned Boy" stamp. I think together they make a very cool Elizabethan style boy!

Right down to the red tights!!

You can see some of the layers I created in this close up photo below.

I love just playing and creating freely on pages. No commitment to an art journal. If I like it I'll stick it in, if I don't I'll chop it up and use it on another art journal page!
