Springtime Kitty

Sorry in advance for a quick post ...
as I am late getting to bed and have an appointment in the early morning before work.

I am lovin' this Spring Kitty image from Imagine That :)
I have had it printed out for a while but haven't created anything with it until today ...
Thank you Kris and the Digi Sketch challenge DT this week for your inspiration!

Card Details:  Spring Kitty mentioned above and Tooty Fruity Papers (yellow gingham) both from Imagine That Digi Stamps store, SU card stock (bashful blue, Summer Sun and textured pretty in pink - I believe), sponged SU Only Orange ink, Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder, and Silhouette Portrait to cut out the sunshine image.

Inky Hugs,

P.S. - Pssstttt ... There's a sneak peek back there of an image coming out in June ... can you guess what it is?!

Busy Sunday - Bible verses, PB cups and Christmas cards

I have been trying to find the perfect verse to add to my kitchen since I got my Silhouette Portrait.  Hubby and I have been trying to find just the right one, and I kept coming back to 1 Corinthians 13:13 - Faith, Hope and Love.  After I saw this one in Kris' "Wedding Day" set, I knew this was definitely the one, and so I trimmed it out after a few tries, measured my area a little bit and then got it put up today above the arch way between our kitchen and living room.

I even found the time to create some peanut butter cups
(no egg mold though - Valentines and pumpkin molds were the only ones in the house)

and then I finished out my day creating a couple of Christmas cards thanks to the March digi image Christmas Paper from DigiStamps4Joy, which I will submit to both the DigiStamps4Joy monthly Christmas Challenge and Lisa's Christmas Card Link-up.

Hope you all had a productive day today too! :)

Happy Craftin!

Tranquility and then ... You're How old?!

I finished a couple of guy cards today, now I just have to figure out which one I am giving to each person.  The deer card was created with one person in mind, but then I was thinking it fits my brother-in-law better, and he has a birthday coming up soon too.  I might just have to make a second one for him.

The deer birthday card was kept simple, as I wanted to create a window card and didn't want too much going on except the scenery and tranquility of watching a beautiful buck in the woods ...

Card Details:  Buck cut out with my Silhouette, pine tree from SU
"Lovely as a Tree" set, SU markers and Copics, brown grograin ribbon

The second one is going to be submitted to the HMFMC #166 challenge (yes, I played again, as I just couldn't help myself).  I seriously do not "yet" own either of these HM friends stamps that I have used this weekend, but I did find "Great Catch" on eBay, and it is now on it's way to me :) Yaaay!  I can thank my friends from SCS, as this is where I have found these images this weekend to play along.  Believe it or not, some of my pre-stamped images were in envelopes from 2006 RAKs ... I am ashamed that I have been holding on to them this long and vowed to use a few every so often from now on.

Card Details:  Gruffies stamp "Here's Lookin' at You," printed sentiment,
Spellbinders Label One and ribbons tag dies, twill ribbon,
SU suede, chocolate chip and vanilla card stock,
dp from Bo Bunny "Liberty" pack, and
nested stars from the Silhouette.  Copics used for coloring.

Closeup of the "Here's Lookin at You" Gruffies image

Printed sentiment from Word
Challenge Submissions:
HMFMC - masculine card
All Sorts Challenge - Use Those Dies (as I was too late for the All about the Boy challenge)
Alphabet Challenge - D is for Diecuts
Delightful Sketches - Out Like a Lamb (add a critter to your card)
The Pink Elephant Challenge (TPE243) - Fave Color Combo ... I usually lean towards neutrals

Simply Masculine

A couple simple masculine cards thanks to my Silhouette Portrait were completed today with a piece of argyle ribbon on one and some twine and a button on the other one.

Birthday Home Run!!

There are so many guy's birthdays in March and April in our families that I have at least two more masculine cards that I will need to finish by April 17th.  I saw there is a masculine challenge going on over at House Mouse HMFMC#166 challenge this week, and I have a nephew that loves baseball, so ... with a RAK from my pre-stamped image collection from some friends, I am using this sweet Happy Hoppers baseball bunny "Great Catch" to make a birthday card that I am hoping he will love.

Card Details:  Great Catch from Happy Hoppers / House Mouse stamps,
Game On from Stampin Up set, Nested stars from Silhouette Online Store,
Superstar charm from my stash, Bo Bunny "Liberty" paper stack and SU cs
and SU small tag punch and silver brad.

Zooming by with a Birthday Surprise

As usual, I was procrastinating over making a masculine card.  This one is for my son's 21st birthday (next week but we are celebrating this weekend with my parents).

I knew I wanted a car of some sort, because all we have been watching it seems are Mecum auctions and muscle car videos ... do you think he might be hinting he would like to fix up an old Camaro or Chevelle?! Yeah, that's what he has in mind ... our son, caviar dreams on a sardine wallet (LOL).  We tease him about this often.  We tell him he was born into the wrong family for such big ticket items ;) but I do tell him if he sets his mind to it, he will have a good job and then the money to remodel/restore the car of his dreams.  Right now though, a part time job isn't going to get him there right away :) and his mama has too many bills to get him that for this birthday, so ...

for now, he will have to settle for this sweet-looking red sports car card.  This car is from the Silhouette Online store, and there are so many great cars to choose from.  It was hard to pick just one.  I printed it out with my Portrait and created a long card that fits in a letter envelope.

First Silhouette vinyl project

I have been wanting to create something with my new Silhouette Portrait and some vinyl all week!!  This is a monogrammed plate for a friend who just got married today, and I am finally getting it done .. bad part, I still have to get it in the mail to her.  Better late than never, I guess.  Hope she loves it.

It's a bit hard to see in the picture, but I have sponged a tan wedding cake in the background and a pink heart, heat set it and then added the vinyl.

What do you think?  I would have loved a more feminine font, but I was having a hard time with the vinyl when it's that thin.  Practice makes perfect, I guess.  I will have to get some more practice in.  Now what can I find to add some letters to?  Look out kitchen, here I come!! :)
