¯¯*¯¯*¯¯*a*snowy*x*mas*garland*¯¯*¯¯*¯¯
A snowy x-mas garland in the attic room.
Actually, it's just my original crochet garland pattern, I simply added a bit of Christmas atmosphere with an embroidered star...
You can find the pattern in my ETSY SHOP.
Repost from December 2013.

our tiny tree ✨
Our tiny tree ✨
This time we decorated the tree with Christmas hares of Anthropologie that we have collected over the years 🐰
The seven hares below you've have seen before and this Christmas season we have expanded our collection with new metropolitan hares from New York, London and Paris.
These hares will always remain a tradition I suspect and reappear every December.

w is for weekend
W is for weekend
A (quite rare) weekend off.
Saturday morning with plenty of time to set the table festively and enjoy a delicious breakfast.
We both have a soft spot for setting the table nicely and literally pull out all the stops to make it as fun as possible.
Gradually we are decorating the house in a Christmas atmosphere, lights in the ginkgo tree, a star with lights in the kitchen window and Christmas greenery at the front door.
The grey W sweater was a joke-gift from Henk (woodwoolstool workwear) and the striped midi pencil skirt I've made some years ago. You can download the pattern in my ETSY SHOP.
Have a great weekend y'all!

december ☆
Just like last year no Christmas tree in da house, only a few pine- and eucalyptus branches.
The eucalyptus branch is a souvenir from the hotel in Essaouira where we stayed last October. The gardener was pruning the huge eucalyptus trees on the property and I asked him if I could have one to take home with me. The guy looked rather surprised, but he thought it was funny.
I have searched everywhere in the attic for our x-mas hares family this morning, but have not been able to find them yet. Well tomorrow I will make another attempt, because it's no Christmas without our cute traditional hares around.
For now we are okay with the a little extra 'green', a paper star and lots of candles in the run-up to Christmas.
Slowly getting into the Christmas mood...

The utterly cute hare is one of the hare family that I bought years ago at Anthropologie also has made its appearance from the attic. The traditional 'model' on the recycled x-mas tree.

bling & yang
Once more no traditional Christmas items overhere, but instead unexpected and unusual December decorations. Our 'x-mas space' consists of opposing but complementary objects.
Christmas will be bling and also yang.
On one side bling; gold, glitter and over the top 'bad taste' with a wink.
On the other yang; exotic animals, natural materials, authenticity and obviously some green.

december decorations
And suddenly it's December and freezing cold outside.
Time for warm woolen sweaters, beanies, candles and everything that belongs to this time of year. Christmas countdown...
The utterly cute hare family also has made its appearance.
They are my traditional models on the new collection of wooden x-mas trees last week.
Are you December ready yet? Do you have your tree up?
If you want a sustainable tree that lasts for years and takes up little space, you have 6 pieces left to choose from. This is the time.
Do you fancy one?
You can order it in my Etsy shop and you will definitely have it in time for Christmas.

jubilee for a sustainable evergreen
New sustainable and unique handmade trees in the SHOP
10 years in a row, a jubilee year for the original woodwoolstool x-mas tree.
I'd rather don't mention the x-word yet, but already got some questions about the trees this weekend.
Therefore, entirely according to tradition, I've made a small collection of the eco-friendly trees for the enthusiasts.
It's never too early (and late) for an evergreen! Have a look and pick your favorite.

december de-decorate
Christmas is over, although this shiny still life looks merry & bright.
I've removed the Christmas decoration from our x-mas wall and folded back the stars.
How fun it is to decorate your home for Christmas, I always find the house so light and fresh, once everything goes back to the attic.
Bit early? Yeah maybe, but I've not had that 'Christmas feeling' this year (even though it has been a wonderful time)
Guess I'm not the only one?

x-mas wall
Who needs a tree?
This time we pinned the Christmas decorations on the white wooden wall in our living room.
Yesterday we unpacked all our x-mas stuff and every year it's the same [oh and ah] moment.
During the decades we've collected quite some vintage Christmas decorations and of course, we buy some new ones too every December.
These merry & bright ornaments made it to the x-mas wall. Love it!
