Postman Pat Cake

This was the first time I have heard of such a character ~ Postman Pat.  I had to google for this 'guy' Pat and find him nerdy looking!  Hahaha.  So I asked the customer why choose him over so many other interesting characters on TV.  She told me it baffled her too that Gabriel loves only Pat and watched it repeatedly!  Anyway the figurine was interesting to make.  The big eyes, his round glasses and curly hair inside his postman hat.

I designed the cake as red like his postman van with the same ER logo.  To make it more interesting a hand-drawn stamp was included with an envelope.

Hope you guys like it as much as the parents and Gabriel.

Teddy Bear Cake

I love teddy bears.  I have a closet full of them - I mean the plush ones.  SO when someone wanted a teddy bear cake I go weak and made more than proposed.  Since the customer is a nice lady I decorated it with all 6 instead of 3.

I love making colorful cakes for children but I made this very pastel.  Love it! Love it!!

Beach Ball Cake

Another return customer.  This time the customer wanted something round...can be a ball or globe or anything round.  I had suggested a Toy-train Cake at first but decided to keep to a ball.  Upon checking on the internet it is mostly Football Cake but I do not like a black and white for a 1 year old so suggested a Beach Ball Cake instead...make it colorful with pail and spade....and lots of 'sand' and 'seashells'.

The ball is butter cake then covered with white chocolate ganache before covering with fondant.  It is not the usual cake-ball where its stuck at the bottom to another cake or a board....but can be taken out and play with...coz I covered the cake completely with fondant.  The birthday boy can take the ball out to hold before cutting.

Everything is edible here.....sand, seashells, pail, ball, spade

Complete set for Isaac - Beach Ball Cake
