OSAAT #204 Serendipity Moment

GOOD MORNING!

One Stitch At A Time has a new Challenge up and we'd like for you to use a digi this round you can read all about the details here.

Wow what a wonderful digital image of Mushrooms 2 Digi from Scrapper's Delight, I colored them like the many mushrooms that I've seen in my yard during the summer......you can find it here

I've flipped/mirrored my image from the original, just me being different so I paired the mushrooms with another digital image that I had from Emerald Faeries

SGC~Pearls

Another fortnight and the Southern Girls Design Team has some great samples up on their blog for the new challenge up at Southern Girls and it's all about using "Pearls" some where in your creations.

I used the image "Rosalee" from Delicious Doodles, I printed the image 2 times to pop the bouquet of flowers adding stickles for sparkles then outlined them with sakura gel pen.  I wanted the rose paper to show through on my layout so I decided to use vellum paper with small flowers and placed tiny pearls in the centers as well as the scalloped border.

You can find the image Rosalee on this page of Delicious Doodles
This was such a fun image to work with, so many possibilities and the pearls just sets the whole layout.

I'd like to share with these challenges:

Squigglefly 26~ Summer Colors
The Paper Shelter ~ Flower Power
Catch the Bug ~ Seasonal (mine is for smelling the flowers)
Tuesday Throwdown ~ Summer time

Thanks for stopping by and have a creative day!

February Color Challenge

A Grand Hello to everyone..............over at Come and Get It Challenges we are being sponsored by Bugaboo Digital Stamps!
I've chose to use "Deacon Cupid" and wowzer what an adorable little cupid he makes and doesn't he just make you want to smile!
For this challenge we also are to use the colors Red, White and Pink for our color theme.

So on to my card, I've used the new heart framelits dies and word sentiment is from SU

I found some gold textured paper in my stash to highlight the gold that I colored the little deacon cupid and that die-cut of hearts I cut using text weight paper from Paper Temptress

So here's a close up shot showing the sparkle on his angel wing and the sparkle on the heart arrows as well as this hair........well since he's an angel he needed to stand out!  LOL

Thanks for coming by and I hope that you join us for the challenge at Come and Get It

'Tis the Season

Did you know that Jack Frost is the son of the Frost King, and is a winter sprite that came from roots of Viking Lore and also known as Old Man Winter in Britain and the United States

He loves to leave frosty fern like crystals patterns on cold winter windows, glistening winter trees and cold weather to nip at our nose and toes.

 Third Coast Rubber Stamps used:

Just wish that scans would show more of the details on art projects.........like shimmery sparkle!  LOL

Wishing each and everyone of you a Safe and Happy Holiday this Season

Third Coast Skull Witch

Eerie Nights are upon us now that it's the Month of All Hallows Eve, I came up with this eerily glowing witch with shooting stars that are dusting the night with only a crow  capturing the sight!
The background is sponged with 3 different colors of blue starting with the lightest color first going to the darker colors leaving the area around the witch to sponge in with yellow for the glowing effect, stars are colored in with Sakura "purple star" gelly roll pen.  I then coated the entire page with 2 layers of clear embossing added the lamp post, a strip of lace ribbon border, and the eerie word die-cut from last years stash

The Skull Witch can be purchased as a single stamp or get the set with her sister the Spider Witch..........(click here) to get them!

Lamp post was painstakingly hand cut out and colored with Copic Markers

Third Coast Stamps used........."Skull Witch" CM-231-L, "Stone Steps" ES-082-F, "Stardust-Starry Corner"CH-952-G  Hope you get a chance to stop in and see the 31 days of Halloween that's going on over at Third Coast Creative Coterie Blog (click here)

Another Bandanna Technique

I just love doing this technique, so I did another using SU dauber to color my page after I stamped my images.  Then adding dots, swirls and lines highlighting with the white gel pen.  I decided to layer it on black card stock to make it stand out more and a simple sentiment .......oh and just a little ribbon, adding the new half pearls from SU

This is one of my favorite sentiments from SU!   I entered this card with Fab'n'Funky's challenge

Thanks for stopping by!

Come and Get It Challenge~Technique Week!

Good Day!  We have a another Challenge going on at "Come and Get It" and it's my week for the featured Technique.  I chose to have you all try the Bandanna Technique, you'll find instructions to try it out and it's really fun to do with awesome results......as you can see my finished card above!  I like to add my card to few other challenges at Just And Ink, SSCC and Moving Along with the Times

Here's a close-up of the sentiment, I tried a little different version of this technique using a dauber to give it a light shade of the green and then using Radiant Rains spray on top to finish for a sparkly effect, tho with the scan it only looks shiny. Did I tell you I really like sparkly things .....LOL   I'd love it if you'd come by and see all the rest of the Awesome cards from our Design Team Members and join in our Challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Better with Age!

Well I took yesterday off and went down to Ninilchik with a friend for an all day of  Scrap Booking/Card making ......we had lots of fun, laughs, visiting and a scrumptious lunch with an awesome view of the inlet Mountains. (Oh Mt.Redoubt the Volcano was steaming again)   So on to my card it was a borrowed image & sentiment, when I got home I thought it still needed more to it.... so I used SU retired set for drinking glasses adding just a little touch of sparkle to the glasses.  Now I couldn't find a bottle image so I hand drew that larger bottle to the right......Loved the image it was fun seeing it come to life!  LOL
