Bethany's Birthday

Hello, my card today is one that I made for my eldest grand-daughter for her 15th birthday last week - the red head in the top family pic. I forgot to take a picture of it, so got her mum to take and send one to me when I discovered that this weeks challenge on Papertake Weekly is for Black and White + One, because this cards fits that challenge very well. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Dancing With Shadows cd, the backing paper is from Artylicious, the card itself and all the matting is my last couple of peices of Tapestry Card, this is a really beautiful embossed card that I got from Joanna Sheen - must get some more. The ribbon came from my stash and I added a bright pink Flora Doodle Peony to finish off. I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting my blog and for the wonderful comments you leave, they really make my day. Beryl x

Blue and Green should ne'er be seen

Hello, my card today is for the challenge over at Cute Daisy May which is Blue and Green, once upon a time it was said that these two colours "should ne'er be seen without a colour in between" I have always loved the combination. I have used one of the CDM digi Stamps and coloured with Promarkers. I have used offcuts of Lapiz Stardream to mount the image and the papers are from Funky Fairys. Everything is mounted onto silver mirror board. The ribbon came from my stash and I finished off by adding a Flora Doodle. Many thanks for continuing to support my blog, it means a lot to me as do all of the comments you leave. Beryl x
I have just realised that my cards fits the bill over at Dare U 2 Digi Stamp, where the colour combo is Blue, Green and White or Cream. This my first entry for this challenge. B x

Hot Colours

Today's card is for two challenges: firstly I followed Sketch 58 from Saturday Sketchers, and secondly for this week's Cute Daisy May Challenge which is Hot Colours. The bp is Artylicious, cs is C'ordinations, image is from Cute Daisy May coloured with Promarkers, A Flora Doodle and the gems and small flowers came from my stash. I hope you like my card and many thanks for paying a visit to my blog, it is through your lovely comments and encouragement that I have managed to get back into my cardmaking again, following a severe loss of my mojo. My First Christmas Card

Today's card is for 2 challenges. Papertake Weekly which is another great sketch from DawnyP and Rainbow Lady's Challenge which is 'Christmas with a Pet', so now I have my first Christmas Card for this year. I have used an image from Charmed Cards of Dottie and George Carol Singing with their cat. I coloured the image with ProMarkers. The bp is a download from Funky Fairies, the cs is from a mixed pack of C'ordinations, the sentiment is computer generated and I have added a flora doodle as an emblishment. I hope you like my card and thanks you for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments you leave. Beryl
ps: apologies for the quality of the pic, I should have left it until tomorrow when the light would have been better.

Fairy Messy Rabbit

My second posting today is a card for Cute Card Thursday, which is for Pink and Brown. The image is one of Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbits - this is from the Magical Set. I have coloured my rabbit with Lyra Watercolours and some Sakura Stardust Glitter pens - not that the glitter shows up in the pic. The paper is from Papermania and I have added a couple of Flora Doodles. I hope you like this and many thanks for dropping by. Please feel free to leave a comment, I appreciate every single one. Cute Daisy May

This card is for the Cute Daisy May Challenge this week, which is to use Pink and Brown. I have coloured the image with a combination of Promarkers and Derwent Colour Soft pencils blended with Sansodor, I used Crafter's Companion Spray and Shine on the image. The backing card and paper are both from Papermania, and to finish I added a couple of Flora Doodles in Pink and Brown. I think I should have made the card smaller cos I think it's lacking something at this size. Anyway, thank you for visiting again today and thank you also for any comments you may wish to leave. Variation on a theme

I have been asked to make another 18th Birthday card, and so I have used my Cute Companions Numbers again. Different recipient. This is for this week's Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a sketch. The backing papers come from the new cardmaking magazine again. The backing to the 18 and the name was made using Ranger Alcohol Inks, it blends in better with the backing papers better in real life, the camera seems to have drained the colour from the pink paper. I finished the card off with a Flora Doodle. I hope you like my card and thank you for stopping by today. Beryl x

Scenery

Well I've managed another card. This one is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is for 'a scene'. I had no idea what to do and then whilst browsing my stamps I found this one. I have never used it before and have had it for about six months. It is a stamp from Sparkle and Sprinkle, I think it is just called Scenery. I have tried my hand at distressing, this is the best of about 12 and I'm not really happy with this. I have used Copper Stardream and some gold and white paper that came in a bumper pack. I added a couple of Flora Doodles to give it a bit of a lift. Thank you for stopping by and many thanks for all of the wonderful comments you leave, they really boost my confidence. Beryl x

Papertake Weekly meets Ooh-La-La Creations

My card today is for two challenges, first a great sketch for Papertake Weekly and Oriental Origins for Ooh-La-La Creations. I used Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD for this challenge. I chose one of the images from the Watercolour Gardens option. I printed the main image on to Inkjet Canvas from Joanna Sheen to give is a more 'painted effect'- as opposed to a photographic effect. The background is made up with some stardream card and a sheet of the matching backing paper for this image. I stuck the image to a piece of co-ordinating paper which I then rolled around a couple of kebab sticks to make an Oriental style wall hanging. The card was finished off with a Flora Doodle Dahlia again from Joanna Sheen. I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting my blog. Beryl x
