Where Have All The Years Gone!

Good Afternoon, it's a beautiful sunny day here in the Northern Isles and it's quite warm too.  My card to share today is the one I made for my eldest daughters 40th birthday today.  The image is from a Kanban Set - jasper and coloured with promarkers, the backing paper is a pale yellow polka dot that I have inked with Dried Marigold DI then overstamped with small images from the same stamp set.  The yellow cardstock came from my stash and did the flower and ribbon.  The sentiment is computer generated and the number is a Cuttlebug Alphabet.

I followed Sketch No 82  from Sketch and Stash, the new element is the stamps and neglected is the backing paper, I have had it for ages. I am also entering my card into this week's Make it Monday

I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting today

Evergreen

Good Evening, my card today is for Sketch57 over at Sketch and Stash.  The image comes from Debbi Moore's Evergreen CD which came free with her new magazine.  The bp comes from Debbi's Glitter and Glitz cd, the gems, ribbon and roses come from my stash and the sentiment is computer generated.

I hope my card will also be acceptable for the CD Sunday Challenge which is a colour challenge of Yellow, Brown and Blue.  All the colours are there on my card, but there is also a lot of white.  The roses were white until I coloured them with a Copic, because I didn't have any yellow ones.

Thanks for your visit.

Oranges and Lemon

Good Morning. It's a beautiful morning here, blue sky and sunshine with just a few clouds dotted around.  Hope it lasts.

My card today is for two Challenges - Sketch and Stash No35 and Ooh La La Creations 'Bright and Cheerful'.
The image is from Clarity, stamped in Versamark and dusted with copper mica powder, the papers are Cuddly Buddly, sentiment computer generated, leaves Marianne Creatable, flower,  ribbon and gems from my stash.

For Sketch and Stash, the new elements are  the Clarity stamp and mica powder.  The neglected is the orange ribbon, which I think came as a magazine cover gift ages ago.

I hope you like my card and many thanks for stopping by and leaving me such great comments.

New Baby

Seeing as though I have missed a few days I thought I would do a second post today.  This card is for CD Sunday, which this weeks is to make a New Baby card.  I have used the Joanna Sheen Baby Love CD for the image and bp.  The gold mirror board and matching cs are from my stash.  I used some gold  baby shoes, that I got from ebay ages ago to embellish the card, the sentiment is computer generated and the circles are nesties.

I am also entering my card into Sketch and Stash Challenge 34, but have just realised that there is nothing actually new on my card.  The ribbon I have had for absolutely ages but this is the first time I have used any of this particular one, up until now it has always been just that wrong shade of pink.   So can this perhaps be both my neglected and new stash at the same time... please?

Thank you for visiting.  Beryl x

Christmas Card No.6

Today's card fulfills three challenges: Bah Humbug Challenge No6 - Snowmen, Dare U to DigiStamp - Use your Punches! and Sketch and Stash No.29

The image is new from DigiStampBoutique, coloured with Copics with some Stickles for sparkle, bp is Fred She Said, Sentiment is Daisy and Dandelion. Everything else comes from my stash. The punch is my neglected item, since getting my Cuttlebug my poor little snowflake punch was relagated to the back of a drawer.

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit. Beryl x

Sketch and Stash

Late on parade today! My card is for the Sketch and Stash challenge. The new part is the image which is from an unmounted Elusive Images Sheet - Wild Meadow and I used Tombow pens to ink the solid stamp. The bp are also newish and from Cuddly Buddly everything else came from my stash.
I hope you like my card and many thanks for visiting. Beryl x

Roses

Today's card is for two challenges again. I have followed Sketch26 over at Sketch and Stash and this is a birthday card which is what the DT from The Pink Elephant have asked for. The image is another of Joanna Sheen's Wildflowers - the roses and once again watercoloured with my Lyras. The bp is from Funky Fairys, it doesn't show up very well but it is in shades of green. When it came to the flower needed for the sketch I was having real problems in finding a flower to match. I then remembered that my youngest daughter gave me a box filled with crafting goodies for my Christmas pressie, and this rose came from there. Apparently, while Joanna was picking up some brads and ribbons and stuff my SIL wandered around and picked up some packs of embellies - the guy did good as this flower is perfect for the card both in colour and type. The greeting was computer generated and everything else came from my stash.

Thank you so much for visiting and for all the lovely comments you have been leaving me.

Santa's on his way

Hi, my card is for two challenges. I have followed Sketch 24 over at Sketch and Stash, the old is the embellies on the side, they were brads from a selection box I got last year, and the strings of gold pearls are the new. The other challenge is The Pink Elephant which is 'Colour me Wonderful' translated as anything coloured with your favourite medium. My image is from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Selection and I have coloured using my Copics just got these a couple of months ago and am loving them. I did make Santa's sack a bit too dark, so scibbled randomly over it with the blending pen to try and give it a used look, not sure if it shows up very well though. Finished it off with a peel off greeting.
The backing paper is Funky Fairys, everything else came from my craft box. Many thanks for visiting my wee space on the web, especially as I am not posting as often as I should.

3 into 1 does go

Hello, my card today is hopefully going to fill three challenges. I have followed Sketch21 from Sketch and Stash, used the colours required for Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Orange, Yellow, Black or White (I've used both) and finally the challenge over at Ooh-la-la-Creations is to use three shapes on your card. I have used rectangles, circles on the bp and a diamond border punch. The bp is from Funky Fairys and Artylicious, the image is from Charmed Cards and has been coloured with Copics, the gems, flower and mirror card all come from my stash.

Thank you for dropping by and for the wonderful comments you leave, I appreciate every one.

Messy Rabbit & Friend

Hello again, my card for today fits two challenges. This weeks challenge at My Time to Craft which is Snow Buddies, and I have followed Sketch No20 for Sketch and Stash. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit Christmas Collection for this year and the sentiment is from a set of messages that I bought from my local craft shop and have thrown the packaging away and cannot remember the make. The bp is Daisy and Dandelion and the ribbon, peeloff borders and silver mirror matting all come from my craft box. I have coloured the image with my new Copics, still getting used to them. Thank you for visiting today and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Oranges and Lemons

Hi, I am hoping my card will qualify for the SketchandStash No.18 this week. I haven't got anything brand new on my card but I have used my latest Cute Daisy May which I have only used once before, coloured with Promarkers, and my Martha Stewart punch is also quite new. The forgotten stash is the jewelled brads which I have had for well over a year. I printed some card with a Funky Fairys design and the patterned paper is Papermania. Thank you so much for visiting today, and for any comments you may wish to make. Every one is very much appreciated. Beryl x

Sketch and Stash

I decided to try making some Christmas Cards to get me out of my block, this one went quite well so hopefully this will work for me. The card is for the Sketch and Stash Challenge No.15. The stamps are the new part of this challenge they are from the Daisy and Dandelion Christmas Set, the neglected part are the backing paper and brads, they are left over from last Christmas, the dark cs came from my stash box. I coloured the image with Promarkers and watercolour pencils. I couldn't find my fluffy stuff so I used the Sakura clear glitter pen for all the white bits. I couldn't find a red ink pad in my box to match with the reds on the card so I tried with the Promarker used on the image - and it worked really well. I hope you like my card and thank you for visiting and for any comments you may wish to make. Beryl x

Sketch and Script

Wow a second card today. This one is for two challenges Sketch No14 for Sketch and Stash, the new item is the Stamp from Crafty Individuals and the neglected item is the white ribbon, I bought it ages ago and have never used it cos I think a coloured ribbon is much nicer than the white. The second challenge is for Rainbow Lady who wants 'Script' on your cards. I have used the Cuttlebug Script Embossing folder and there is also some script on the stamp. The image has been stamped onto a background that I made myself. I put a few of drops of Stampin Up ink, Lavender Lace and Pretty in Pink, onto a craft sheet, spritzed with water and mixed in a touch of Cosmic Shimmer, then added a piece of glossy card to the mix, it doesn't show up very well in the pic. I stamped the image in black Versafine and then embossed with clear ep. I got the inspiration for this from Frankie of Dragonsweb, do take a look at her blog because she has a knack with mixed media pieces that I have only dreamed of. The bp is Artylicious, the flower was free with a Craft Mag a couple of months ago. Thank you for taking the time to look at my card and for any comments that you may wish to make. Beryl x

2 in 1

I have made this card to fit two challengs again. Firstly for SketchandStash No.7 and secondly for The Pink Elephant which is a recipe. You have to use texture, stamping and punching. I put the dark brown card through my Cuttlebut Swiss Dots folder. The squares are cut from a piece of Encaustic Art that I made a while ago. The stamp is one from an Elusive Images Plate, Butterfly Daisy Collage. It is the first time I have used this particular stamp from the sheet. I stippled some inks onto glossy card and then sealed it with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine and when dry I stamped the butterfly with a Versamagic Chalk Inkpad called Java. I finally sprayed the finished piece with Crafter's Companion Gold Spray and Sparkle, the pic doesn't really show the sparkle. I love these new sprays. I used a corner rounder punch on all the corners. Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment. Beryl x

Sketch and Stash

Today's card is for Sketch and Stash No.6. The stamp is new from a DesignHouse unmounted plate and I have watercoloured using Lyras. The cs is from a new pack of Papermani 12x12 and the paper is from an older Papermania 12x12 set that I have had for about two years. The flowers and brad come from my craft box. The colouring around the edge was done with Colorbox Chalk Wisteria. I actually made a mistake while going around the edge of the image the ink pad slipped, so instead of throwing it away I increased the depth and intensity to cover it up. Thank you for visiting my blog and if you would like to leave a comment please do. I appreciate every single one. Beryl x

3 in 1

My card today is for three challenges, Firstly for Sketch and Stash No.5, My Time to To Craft which this week is for Hats and finally for Rainbow Lady who gave us a recipe. White Card, One Stamp, Handmade Flower or Two, Ribbon, Peel Off Corners or Borders and the colours Red, Blue and Silver. I do hope Cynthia is feeling forgiving today because my hand made flowers aren't truly hand made, I couldn't find my punches, so I stamped the flowers onto shrink plastic, coloured and cut them. The stamp is an Elusive Images one which I got from the Graphicus Sale. I have coloured the lady with a mixture of Inktense pencils and Promarkers. The ribbon and peel off borders came from my craft box, the text is from a Woodware set and the papers are from the new craft magazine. The ribbon looks a bit pale in the pic, but it shows up quite well in real life. Thank you for visiting my blog today and also for the comments you leave - they are truly appreciated. Beryl x

On a roll....at last!

Well, looks as if I found whatever it was missing and stopping me from making some cards. I actually made four cards last night, the two that I posted and another two for customers. This card today is for Sketch & Stash No4, and I am hoping it will qualify for Cute Card Thursday which is 'Signs of Spring' as I think the colours are springlike. I needed an 18th Birthday card for a customer and realised that I have only used one of my Cute Companions Tapestry Numbers and I used it on shrink plastic. While looking at them I decided they would look goood embossed in gold. The papers are what are left from the cards I made last night and they are the free ones from the new magazine. I managed to make 2 square cards and this one from just two sheets of it. I finished the card off with a couple of pink Flora Doodles, which pick up the pink in the patterned paper. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for all of the comments you leave, they really are appreciated and give my confidence a huge boost. Beryl x

Willow

My card today is for the Sketch & Stash Challenge No.3. I have used my new - and first - Whiff of Joy stamp of Willow. I coloured her in with promarkers, but the pastel blue that I used for her trousers hasn't shown up very well. I scanned the card because the flash on the purple stardream card made all the colours scream at each other and not match. Apart from the image and the flowers everything else came from my odds and ends box. The flowers came from an unopened pack in one of my many embellishments boxes and I have no idea where or when I bought them. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for all the wonderful comments you leave. Beryl x

Valentine

Today's card hopefully fits the bill for two challenges. Firstly Cute Card Thursday which is for a Valentine's Card. The other challenge is for the new Sketch and Stash callenge which is to follow the sketch and use something new or neglected from your crafting stash on your card. The stamp comes from Elusive Images (Glenda) and her gorgeous Harlequin Rose stamp sheet, there are some fabulous stamps in this set. It's the very first time I have used any of these stamps, I coloured the rose with watercolour pencils, using them like crayons and then blended with a water brush. All the papers have come from my stash - it's surprising what you find when you open boxes and files for the first time in ages. I have no idea where any of it came from. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and for all the comments made which are greatly appreciated. Beryl x

Second Post For Today

I'm catching up with the challenges at last and here are another two that I have done today. The first one is for the new Sketch and Stash Challenge. For this card I have used some gorgeous blue silk mirri card from Joanna Sheen, some paper from my stash box which I think is Papermania and the image is from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD which is one that I keep coming back to time and time again. The embellishments are from my stash again, I think the flower was a cover gift from a craft mag ages ago.

My second card is for this week's Friday Sketchers. I needed a card for a man and once again I went back to Joanna Sheen's Victorian Companion CD for the image and the co-ordinating backing paper. I used Judikins sports ball cube from Stamp Addicts and used cricket balls instead of flowers, the backing card came from my off-cuts box and I have no idea where it came from, but it has the most gorgeous golden sheen I think it might be one of the newer stardream colours. Unfortunately I've haven't got any more of it. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the fantastic comments that you have been leaving. They inspire me to try different techniques, and to persevere when I get 'one of those days'. Thanks again, Beryl x
PS I have only just noticed the shine on the photo of this card really sorry about that, the text reads 'owat!!' Beryl x
