Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day 5 1/2

STILL working on that Simple Stories paper pad.  I cut the base layer using the Crazy Stitched Frame Die and that pretty label using the Fancy Stitched Label from Craftin Desert Divas!  The Fishtail banner is from MFT.

It was fun to create this whimsical scene with the cup, sun/cloud, and coffee stain from Verve Stamps!  The cup and flower and coffee stain are from the Better With You stamp set and the sun/cloud are from the Fill My Cup stamp set.  That pretty vellum doily is from Gina Marie Designs and the ribbon is from D.L. Art!

I built my sentiment using the stamp from my stash above so that I could use this Awesome word die from Verve!

This coffee is making me Awesome!

And here is the sketch:

Hope you find some time to play!

Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 2 1/2

I'm back today with another card for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!  If you've never heard of it before, you should definitely check out the main blog hop post here for all of the details and rules and to check out the HUGE list of sponsors all offering prizes for playing along!  Just create a new project with a theme of Spring/Summer and Coffee, Tea, or Hot Cocoa; link it up; and you have a chance to win!  And for full fun and enjoyment, join the Coffee Loving Papercrafters group on Facebook here!  You'll need to answer a few questions when you join which helps us to make sure everyone who is there is there for the right reasons!  Hope to see you there!  Here's what I have for you today:

I LOVE to play along with the Make It Monday Challenge over at Papertrey Ink and this week the challenge is Above and Below (highlight a sentiment using the Above and Below technique).  So when I saw this week's challenge, I knew it would be perfect for a coffee card!  You only need to use one Papertrey Ink product to play along, but most of mine are.  And there is a new challenge each Monday!  I just love the Stemmed Statement stamp set.. the flowers are so pretty and not a huge undertaking to color.

And this Fancy Tea Cup die is so inexpensive and so pretty!  It comes with a die to cut both the top and bottom layers of the cup.  I used the Happiness die from Hop Super Sponsor Verve Stamps that is included in the Happiness In A Cup Die Set.  And scattered some of my favorite Shimmer sequins from Hop Super Sponsor Craftin Desert Divas around for steam.

The Cover Plate Die is from Papertrey Ink as well as the beautiful Fun Frames Die (One of my most used so far).

So thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you around the hop!  I stop at every stop so eventually if you play along, you'll hear from me at your place!  You can link up to your blog, or Instagram, Flicker... almost anywhere, but you'll get the most visits at those places where you don't have to log in as a member.   I stop everywhere I can!  Good luck!  Can't wait to see what you make!

And don't forget to thank all of the wonderful Sponsors for the Coffee Lover's Hop who offer up prizes!  I used products from these two today!

Coffee Is My Pot of Gold

I know what you're thinking!  Coffee again?  Yes... I just had to share another card using the Verve digi sets Irish Coffee and Lucky Day sets!  There is a sale going on right now over at Verve and a couple challenges that I'm playing along with.

I had the idea right after I finished my last card using this set to create a foiled background with the four leaf clover in the Irish Coffee set.  I just took the digi, pulled it into word, made it the size I wanted and then copy and pasted it, turning the clover every which way.  I tried to keep them around the same distance apart, but made sure that I varied the direction the stems were going in so that it looked more random.

I printed that out using my laser printer on some white cardstock, die cut it with a Waffle Flowers Scalloped die, and then placed a piece of that beautiful Gina K Designs Gold Sequins foil over it and ran it through my Minc machine.  Voila!  It turned out just how I was hoping!

I had printed out both sets in pdf form the other day, so I chose this sentiment, die cut it with a circle die and then ran that through the Minc as well.  That Gold Sequin foil is just sooo cool and looks different at every angle.  I original had one larger green circle behind my scalloped circle here, but it covered up more of my clover than I wanted covered so I decided to leave it out... turns out I didn't need it at all!

Then I colored and cut out the clover and to go cup from the Lucky Day set, tied some ribbon around and embellished it with the cut out digis, some flowers and a few Doodlebug Sprinkles in green.

I think you're starting to understanding that I've fallen in love with my Minc and I'm finding a new love for digital stamps.  I will always love my physical, touchable, smellable, real life stamps, but I LOVE all of the extra stuff I can do with the digis now since I got a laser printer and my Minc.  Very excited!

So, as I said, I'm playing along with some challenges!  I used the sketch from Viva La Verve for this month again... it's such a versatile sketch and it was perfect for this combo of stamps, dies, and "stuff".  I'm also playing along with the Verve March 2018 Inspirations Hop and Challenge.  Also, I'm adding this to the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Mixed Medium Challenge for this week!

Coffee Lovers Bloghop-Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Winter 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today I'm playing along using some of Hop Super Sponsor Verve Stamps and I'm also playing along with the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge for December!  Here's what I made:

The pretty plaid and polka dot papers are from My Minds Eye.  Just love that strip of glitter that is incorporated into the plaid!

The pretty sentiment and cup are from the Verve Holiday Treats Stamp Set (and it's on sale right now!)  The set was one of my picks when I won the monthly challenge a couple months ago... it was so awesome!  I got this and another Christmas set and a few other things!  I stamped the cup in Versamark, embossed it with Gilded Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and then used my zigs to color in the white stripes and handle to make it stand out a bit more.  Don't you love that cute sentiment!?

Quite a few of the embellishments on this one were laying around on my workspace overflowing from my "extras" container.  Not quite right for some other project but perfect for this one!  I love it when I can use up extras!

The other items I used on this one were from various companies.  The doily is from Gina Marie Designs, the snowflakes are from Lawn Fawn, the sequins are from Paper Sweeties, the Poinsettia is from Craftin Desert Divas, and the border is from Poppy Stamps I believe.  All of these companies are Sponsors for the Coffee Lovers Hop.. pretty awesome right?

I'm also playing along with the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge and this week's twist is Polka Dots!  You should check this one out too!  It's a Ning group so you have to join, but it is a lot of fun with lots of challenges and prizes!

Here is the sketch!  Hope you'll play along over there too!

As some of you know for most of the past hops I've commented on every single project.  I think once I just didn't have time in the middle of tax season and I tried to keep going after, but I never did make it quite all the way through...lol... it still haunts me!  I'm going for it again this year and I'm on 116!  It's a Labor of Love... I so enjoy seeing what everyone is using (although it does lengthen my wish list).  You should be hearing from me soon!  Thanks so much to all who have stopped by and left some love!  I do appreciate it!

See you again tomorrow!

My Guestie Gig for the Coffee Lovers!

I am so very excited and honored to be Guest Designing for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog!!  You don't even know!  Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali Narla host the Blog and Hop together.  When I found out while I was away on a crafty vacation that they would like me to Guest Design it made my day... and I was having a pretty good day already.  Of COURSE I had taken along some coffee items so it was easy to "whip up" a couple cards...haha!  I created a masculine and a feminine card... guess which one this is...lol!

Hope you'll head on over to the Coffee Lover's Blog to see the other card I created for today!  There are also links to the stamps and dies I used and more info about my makes... hope I see you there!  Just click on the link below:
