Step up to Softpencil Thursday

Happy Thursday Everyone!
I hope your week is going well! Today we get to use this adorable digital image from Softpencil , it's called House Collection Set 2. I really loved this image set when I first saw it on Softpencil. I know I just made a stair step card but I thought this set would a very fun pop-up sort of card. These are the intructions according to Lynn. You can find the instructions and more samples at SCS. I kept the design pretty simple. I cut out and colored my images with my copics, added punched flowers to the eave of the house. I popped everything up on pop dots. I punched a cute little picket fence with my Martha Stewart punch. My papers are from Bo Bunny.

This is a great set for any occasion and is fun to use. Please visit my other DT members to see their stunning designs. Their links are in my sidebar. Thanks for stopping by today!! Be sure to leave a comment so I may return the favor! I love reading your comments and leaving them on your beautiful blogs. Have a wonderful day!!

Stair Step Fold Card

This is my 2nd post for today. Please scroll down and look at my other post for today!!

Stair Step/Accordion Card

Hello Everyone,

Today it's my turn to host Method Monday over at InStyle Stamps!! Yay! We're going to use a Back to School theme for our project today. I went over to Splitcoast Stampers and found this adorable little card. I thought that you would have fun with this as well. Thanks Lynn for having this on the forum! These are the intructions according to Lynn. You can find the instructions and more samples at SCS.

It's called a Stair Step fold or an Accordion fold, depending on the orientation of your project. This would be a Stair Step fold since it's landscape, but this fold can work either way - portrait or landscape.

Cut your cardstock to the size of 10.5 X 5.0 - if you want to stamp on this, now would be the time to do it.

Score your cardstock at 1.25" - 2.5" - 4.25", 6" and at 8.25"

Now fold with hills and valleys (accordion style) making sure that the smallest (1.25" fold) is folded down, as this will be the front of your card) Look at my sample and you will see what I mean.

Now here's the fun part - decorate with anything - punches, cut-outs, stickers - whatever your theme is, just go with it. These cards may be done in landscape or portrait orientation so let your imagination run wild. Thanks for visiting my blog. Please come back tomorrow to see what I have to show you.
