some kind of wonderful - Kraft Plus challenge

Hello there, I'm jumping in early this month on the 'scrapbooking challenge train'!  I've joined in with the challenge at Kraft Plus - they have this awesome challenge for March!

Here's what I've come up with:

I picked out another photo from our recent road trip - I love this one of my eldest and youngest lads!
I've flipped the sketch over to one side.  I've found a few papers with the houndstooth pattern on it and have included these on my page.
Here's some close-up's:

I found some fun embellishments in my stash and I even used a border punch - it's good to go back to some simple supplies and get some more use out of them ☺
I love mini pegs ♥  and the word 'hello' ♥

That's all from me for today - have a lovely weekend!
Thanks for coming by ♥

hydrangea - Jot Mood board challenge

Hello, back on this last day of the month to share a page - sneaking this one in for the lovely mood board challenge at Jot!!

Feb2016Anna

Here's what I've come up with:
I've used some pictures from our recent holiday - Tasmania had the most beautiful displays of hydrangea's.  They fit in well with this challenge.
Here are a few close-up's:
I did a banner style design for this page and once again, I've added in a water colour background with my paints.
I dived into my stash and pulled out all colours from this challenge mood board - such a fun way to use up 'bits'.
I'm off to link this page up - thanks so much for coming along to visit ♥

sassy scrappers - august challenge

Hey there, I've been having a play with some scrapbook challenges this week.  Today I'm sharing one I've done for Sassy Scrappers - they have a fun and bright mood board and I really love recipe challenges.

August Recipe Challenge
Here's my take on the challenge:
I turned the big 40 last week and my sister took this picture of me - it was a good excuse to do a fun, girly page!
Most of the products on this page are Heidi Swapp.
Here are a few close-up's:
For the watercolour background, I've sprayed two colours of Colour Shine = Citron + Pink Rose onto some clear acetate - then I've also spritzed with a small amount of water.  I've placed my white cardstock over the acetate and pressed down to transfer the colour.
I've also used a stamp to create the 'splattered look', using the same technique - dipping the stamp into the Colour Shine.
I've used enamel dots but also made a couple of my own using a 1" circle punch, paper and the clear flair dots - I love doing this as I can co-ordinate to my papers.
I've also used black thickers and the 'fabulous' word is Kaisercraft die-cut.

Loved putting this page together - I hope to be back soon to share some more scrappy goodness ♥

weekend adventure - Kraft + challenge

 Hey there!!
I've been sorting thru my craft room this week, decluttering and getting rid of things that have been sitting around for ages ..............  It felt good.  While doing so, I did come across lovely supplies that I thought I should use ☺
So I joined in with the Kraft + May challenge - here is the mood board - very earthy and Autumn 'like':

Here's my take on the challenge:

The challenge requires that you use Kraft card-stock as your base - so this is one of the items I found in my stash - I was happy to find a few more pieces too ☺
I gathered papers and embellishments that suited the mood board, inspired by:  wood, colours, leaves, flowers, twine and layers of paper (books)
Here are a few close-up's:

I love to add embellishments and frames over my photo's, just to really accent the subject - this one being my cute little boy in the forest.

The white sticker letters are from Bella Blvd - just love that font - was happy to find that hidden away in my stash too.

I'm off to link this one up at Kraft +
Have a wonderful weekend ♥

national scrapbooking day with Scrappy Canary

Hello and a happy Monday to you all ☺
The past Saturday was International Scrapbooking Day - there is always a day for everything ........
Scrappy Canary celebrated with a Cyber Crop in the VIP Scrappy Canary Lounge on Facebook.  Each DT member set challenges!
Today, I'm sharing my challenge and the page I created for it!
My challenge is:

 and here's my page:
I used left over papers and bits from the last scrapbooking kit 'Playful'.
I used the word happy in my title and journal work.
I've used two different punches: a tag punch and circle punches to create the vellum flower.
I always stamp on my pages using the script stamp, but on this page, I've used a few extra ones too ☺
Here are a few close-ups:
Here I've used a little tag punch!
This vellum flower was made with a number of circle punch-out's, layered together and finished off with a sparkly blue brad.

You have til next Saturday (9th May) to play along with all the challenges and upload them to the albums.

Thanks for coming by ♥

hello sunshine - scrap the boys May challenge

Hello and happy May - the middle of Autumn and such a beautiful time of year ☺  I really love all the season!
I'm sharing my DT page for Scrap the Boys - the challenge for May is:
And here's my take on the challenge:
I had this very fun photo that my sister took, so I decided to enlarge it, so it would be the main focus on the page!
When working with a large photo - I love to overlap stickers, titles and embellishments over the actual photo, so it just blends in.
Here are a few close-up's:

The title is Heidi Swapp sticker letters - you peel back the paper and cover with the provided silver or gold foil and then pull away to reveal the stickers nicely covered! - really fun.  I guess it kind of gives you an idea of what the Minc would be like ☺
Most of the papers and embellishments are by Amy Tangerine - loving this collection at the moment ☺

We hope you can play along this month - pop over to the BLOG to check out all the details!

always happy - Words + Paintery challenge

Hello!! Just popping in to share another page for a scrapbooking challenge - I've been on a nice 'roll' with them lately and am enjoying creating for different challenges ☺
This one is for Words + Paintery - they have this lovely colour palette and also an optional sketch to go along with ......

 out for publication .......................

I've created with the sketch in mind, as I love the banner style.  Here's what I've come up with:
These photo's are of my youngest, taken two years ago.  I can really see how much he has grown ☺
Most of the products are by Amy Tangerine - the papers suited the colour palette well.  I've done some texture work in the background and used some India Inks to colour some of the stenciled details.
Here are a few close-up's:

I loved putting this page together - I haven't used a mixed media style lately and it reminded me that I should do it more often.  It was fun adding layers with stencils, texture paste, ink and then the papers.
Thanks for coming by ♥

all time favorite - off the rails scrapbooking challenge

Hey there and happy Monday.  The kids are back at school and the house is so quiet once again.  I always need a few days to adjust as I really love having the boys around ♥

I'm popping in to share another page that I made for a challenge - Off the Rails Scrapbooking.  They have two mood boards to choose from this month; I chose this one:

Here's what I've come up with:

out for publication ............

I was inspired by the circles, colour and shiny bits of the mood board.  I love this cute pic of my youngest in the tree, it went well with the wording from the mood board too!
I've used lots of Heidi Swapp products and used a die-cut and added in stamping too.
Here are some close-up's:

This was my first time playing along with this challenge site and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for coming by ♥

hello - white with 1 April challenge

Hello - hope you've had a great week.  The end of school holidays has come to an end.  I always enjoy the more relaxed routines with my boys .........
I've managed to do a couple of challenges over the past days by staying up a bit late ☺
This one is for the White with 1 challenge:

 ww1 sand

Here's what I've come up with:

I've picked out some papers from my stash by Teresa Collins - the 'Hello my name is' collection.  The colours and theme worked out great for my photo.  I like doing individual pages about my boys from time to time ........
I have a few wood veneer embellishments and a fabric star from Charms Creations.
Here are some close-up's:

I love how this page turned out - it's simple and sweet, just like my boy ♥
Thanks for popping by!

hey dude - Scrap for Help November challenge

Hello crafty people and and hello November too ☺  Today I'm sharing my DT page for the November challenge at Scrap for Help.  The challenge for this month is to use a BOTTLE CAP!!

I had these fun 'shots' of my little man and his hat.  Teaming it up with the 'Hey Kid' collection by Pink Paislee - I've created this fun page including a bottle cap as an embellishment.
Here are some close-up's:
With my circle punches, I cut out a circle from pattern paper and used this as the centre of my bottle cap - have added an epoxy dot and my embellishment nicely co-ordinates with the collection.  I've continued on with the circle theme - also punching out different size circles from the pattern papers.
I've used a couple of the flair badges by A Flair for Buttons - also available at the Scrapbook Store.
I also love the canvas stickers included in this collection.

Please check out the Scrap for Help blog for all the details on how to enter this fun challenge - there's also lots more inspiration from the Design Team too.
We hope you can play along this month.  Thanks for coming to visit ♥

Scrap for Help - May Challenge!!

Hey, hope your week is going well ☺ Popping in to share my Design Team page for the May Challenge at Scrap For Help.  This month you need to use a napkin on your page - I wasn't quite sure about this one at first, but once I decided to use the napkin as another layer to my page, it all fell into place.
Here's my page:
I love this photo that my sister took of us girls with our mum ♥  I haven't created a feminine flowery page for a while, so this challenge was a great excuse ☺
I've just used an ordinary paper towel napkin and sprayed it with colour shine mist and scrunched it up a little before adding to my page - love how it's turned out.
Most of the products are by Prima!!
Here are some close-up's:

Love these wooden tags by Prima.  I've used bits of the packaging as well, cutting out the little black banners to use as journalling.
Here are some gorgeous flowers and vines by Prima as well as some resin blossoms.  The large tag is also some of the packaging!  Recycle/Re-use ☺
More of the Prima wooden tags and flowers.
And a close-up of the napkin - I love the texture it brings to the page.  So pretty  ♥

I hope you feel inspired to create something with a napkin this month - it's fun and easy.  Please check out the Scrap For Help blog and be inspired by the Design Team and their wonderful creations.
Thanks so much for coming by ☺

... some of the texture that I've added in using the Doily Mask from Kaisercraft ...

... AC foam thickers ... Prima blossooms ... Kaisercraft wooden pennant misted with Colour Shine by Heidi Swapp ... and of course - black/white twine ...
... handmade flower using a scallop punch - my favourite kind of handmade flower and it's so easy!! ...
