Lollipop Ladies Challenge #14

Hello and hope you are all having a good week so far - it's time for another challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - #14 - here is the inspiration picture and we have the added bonus theme of hearts!!
 And here's my creation:
I've gone with a scrapbook page today and have included some hearts on my page - a paper lace doily heart and a heart shape made with sweet buttons.
This picture is of my mum and her girls - taken last year and have finally got the opportunity to scrap it - and it was great to do a girly page for a nice change!!
Here's some close-ups:
Small sweet buttons to make up the heart shape!
A bird chippie from Stuff 2 Scrap - I've covered it in pattern paper, sanded the edges and sponged, then added a rhinestone as the eye.
I've also used lace doily trim and some sticker letters by October Afternoon.
Pattern paper from Sassafrass - Cherry Delicious - and these papers are delicious - I've cut some of the details out and then added flowers, butterfly and some bling.
A crochet flower from a give-away I received - I've topped it with a button flower from Sassafras.  Love this stuff.

So that's my take on the challenge - hope you like.  Head over to the challenge blog to view all the details if you would like to join in the fun.
This is my last creation as Design Team member for the Lollipop Ladies - I've had the most wonderful time in the past six months - the challenges have been heaps of fun - so thanks Sammi and Marcia for having me - now I can't wait to see who the next Design Team will be - hopefully I get a chance to play along in some of the new challenges.

Have a great day and happy crafting.

The Lollipop Ladies Challenge #13

The Lollipop Ladies Challenges are back with a new challenge - this week it's Mint Fudge - YUMMO!!  The bonus challenge is Polka Dots - how fun!!

Here's my card for the challenge:

My card revolved around the 'spotty' pattern paper and it went from there - it was perfect for this challenge - polka dots with shades of mint green-
This is a square card - 13cm x 13cm - I've layered the various papers and then added a doily.
The image is from My Favourite Things - I've paper pieced her dress in the spotty paper and then coloured the rest with Copics.
Here's a closer look:

We would love to see you join us for this challenge - pop over to The Lollipop Ladies to view all the details and be inspired by the fabulous Design Team.
Thanks for coming by.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #11

Time for another challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies!  We had such a fabulous response to last weeks challenge - it was great to see so many entries.
I think you will LOVE this next challenge: LICORICE ALLSORTS - these are one of my favourites.  The added bonus is to have BLACK in your creation.
Here's my card:

I've used one of the sweet images from My Favourite Things - 4 leaf clover. I paper-peiced the clothes so there wasn't much colouring left to do.  But I've added some sparkle to her shoes and a pearl flower which she is holding!
Papers are by Stampin'Up - Sweet Always - these colours really suited the inspiration picture - especially with the stripes.
I've used some crochet trim and made a cluster of embellies - hand-made flower and some buttons.
Here's a closer look:

I hope you are inspired to join in with this challenge - pop over to the Lollipop Ladies to view all the details.  Be sure to check out all the amazing work from the Design Team - we look forward to seeing what you create.

Happy crafting

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #11

My first creative post for 2011 - and it's a colourful one!!  The Lollipop Ladies are back with a fun challenge to get your creativity going - the theme is Jubes with the added bonus of glitter/sparkles.  Don't you just love the bright, fun colours of this inspiration picture!!

Here's my creation:
My inspiration came from the bright colours - I've used a B&W picture of my son Liam to make a fun scrapbook LO.  I love how it turned out.  The whole LO is rather simple with the punched out coloured squares.... yes they are coloured cardstock squares hand-punched by me then attached with tape - lots of work but worth the effort.   Then I've done some stamping and added a cluster of embellishments - a stamped tag and flower with spotted button, red crochet doily and a small plastic doily!
The title is some black glitter letters and rub-on's.  For some sparkle, I've added some small red gems to a few of the squares.
Here's a closer look:

So that's my inspiration for this challenge - hope you like it.
We would love for you to join us - pop over to the challenge blog to view all the details and be sure to check out the creativity from the talented design team.

This is a scheduled post as we are still camping, but I hope to be back soon to check out your entries!
Til then - happy crafting.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #10 - Chocolate Honeycomb

I'm back with another creation - this time for the latest challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - aren't the weeks just flying by?
After last weeks challenge of chocolate cupcakes, we are sticking close to chocolate again - it's Chocolate Honeycomb with the bonus challenge to add something hidden such as a message or gift certificate - here's the inspiration picture:

 And here's my creation:

I've gone with a scrapbook LO, using a picture of my twin boys.  It's always fun to add hidden messages on LO's, so I've added an envelope to the page so I can add a letter or message.  For now, I've just added in a tag made with pattern paper from October Afternoon - I love the words on this paper!
Here's a closer look:
A cluster of embellishments:  doilies and vintage story book circles from my Etsy store, birdie pins, yellow button and woodgrain chipboard button from the Chip-Chop Shop.
A Kraft envelope with tag - I've done lots of stamping on the envelop and on the Kraft cardstock.

We would love to see you join in with this fun challenge - head over to the challenge blog to view all the details and don't forget to check out the inspiration by the Design Team.
I look forward to seeing your creations soon.

..... and pop back here soon, I will be sharing my latest Etsy update - it's the last one for this year; I'll be shutting shop over the holiday break. Til then.

Lollipop Challenge #9 - Chocolate Cupcakes.

Well, today it's another challenge from the Lollipop Ladies - we hope you enjoyed the past challenge - it was great to see some beautiful and bright creations.
Onto the next challenge - it's Chocolate Cupcakes with a bonus to add swirls - check out this yummy inspiration.

And here's my card:

I had the perfect stamp for this challenge - Cupcake Cherrie from Tickled Pink Stamps.  I've stamped her in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and coloured with Copics.  I've paper-pieced the cupcake and added glossy accent to the icing to make it shine!  I've cut around the image then poped onto a white doily.
The pattern paper is by Basic Grey - check out the little swirls.  I've also embossed the centre strip with the Swirly embossing folder.
The sentiment is a digital freebie from Bizzy Becs - I've printed this out, then used my circle cutter to create the layers.  I've added a cupcake brad to the centre of this.
Lastly I've added some roses and pin.
Here's a closer look:

I hope I've inspired you to join along this week.  It's a fun challenge and there is a great prize up for grabs.  Head over to the challenge blog to view all the details.  And be sure to check out all the fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #8

It's time for another challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - I've been asked to stay on as Design Team member for another three months which is just fabulous - I've really enjoyed these inspiration challenges.  I'm looking forward to inspiring you with more creations every two weeks and to share this with other fabulous girls too.  Pop over to the Lollipop Ladies blog to check out some of the new Candy Stripes.
On to the challenge now, we are up to #8 and it's all about Jelly Beans and adding Gloss.

I was inspired by all the bright colours so I've created a fun card using a Swiss Pixie stamp by CC Designs and some colourful paper by Echo Park.

The image has been coloured with Copics and I've added some glossy accent to the flowers and her boots.  I've used my Nesties - Labels 8 - love this die-cut shape!  And by poping the accent over to the side, I haven't covered up too much of the pretty paper.
Lastly, I've added some spotty green ribbon, tied off with a bright pink button from the Chip-Chop Shop!
Here's a closer look:

Hope you like this card and I hope that you are inspired to join us for this fun challenge - the details are at the Lollipop Ladies Challenge blog - we look forward to checking out your work soon.

Lollipop Ladies - Challenge #7

Today I have a card to show you for the latest challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - we are already up to Challenge #7.  Haven't they been so much fun?
The new challenge is all about donuts - yummy; and the added bonus is chocolate!
Here's my creation for the challenge:
I've gone with a birthday party theme - there's always donuts at a party as well as chocolate cake!
So I've used this cute image from My Favourite Things - this one is Birthday Princess.  I've stamped her in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and coloured with Copics - I've added some stickles to the cake!
The little dress has been 'paper-pieced' using some pattern paper.
I've used my CM Oval cutter and punched out lots of smaller circles to create the scallop border.
The pattern paper is Basic Grey - Nook & Pantry - I've co-ordinated that with some Stampin'Up colours - choc chip, regal rose and a new colour - Daffodil Delight.
I've added a little cluster of embellishments - ribbon, button and some paper roses.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.
Here's a closer look:

I really enjoyed putting this card together.  We hope you will join us this week - head over to the Lollipop Ladies to view all the details of how you can join in the fun.  And I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge

Hope you are all having a great week - today I have a card for the new challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - this one is yummy and I'm sure everyone loves: Strawberries and Cream.  The bonus challenge is layering.

Here's my card:

Strawberries and Cream reminds me of a tea-party with sponge cake and cupcakes and of course a good pot of tea!!
So I've gone with this cute image - Cupcake Kikki -  CC Designs.  I've coloured with Copic Markers and used the Labels Eight Nestabilities to cut out.  The pattern paper is by Kaisercraft - Candy Lane Collection. The 6x6 paper pad comes with die-cuts too which I've used for the little tag.  I've added the sentiment 'celebrate' along with a rose and pearl string.
I've also added in some lace trim and two pearl brads.
Here's a closer look:

We would really love for you to join in with this weeks challenge - pop over to the Lollipop Ladies challenge blog to view all the details.  Look forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

The Lollipop Ladies Challenge #5

Hope you are all having a fabulous week - today I have my Design Team card for the Lollipop Ladies - these challenges are flying by so quickly - it will soon be Christmas.  Speaking of which, that's the theme for this next challenge - it's all about Candy Canes - here is the inspiration picture:

 And here's my card:

Seeing as the bonus theme was Christmas, I decided to make up an early Christmas card - I went with the stripes on the candy cane and chose this pattern paper by Stampin'Up which is called Candy Lane.  I've also used the Tree Trimmings stamp set by Stampin'Up.
The tree decorations have been stamped onto cardstock, then cut out and poped up onto the circle.  I've used my Nestabilities to create the scallop circle in the Kraft cardstock.  I've added a jumbo eyelet and some Riding Hood Red tafetta ribbon.
To complete the card, I've added the sentiment 'happiness' and used the arch lattice punch by Martha Stewart along the bottom edge.
Here's a closer look:
We hope you will play along this week - pop over to the Lollipop Ladies challenge blog to get all the details - I look forward to seeing what you create.

The Lollipop Ladies - Challenge #4

It's time for another sweet challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies - I think you will love this one - check out this inspiration picture:

The challenge theme is ICE-CREAM and the added bonus challenge is to use KRAFT.
Here's what I've created:

I started out with this card and had a design in mind....... but it ended totally different.  Nevertheless, i'm quite happy with the result - it's a collage style card!
I was inspired by the colours and texture which I've incorporated into the card.
The base card is Kraft - then I've added panels of mambo melon and apricot appeal.  I've used my Cuttlebug to add some texture to the Kraft cardstock - it reminds me of a waffle cone!
The ice-cream wildcard is by October Afternoon. I've made up a cluster of embellishments including a doily, stamped ice-cream image and a ruffled vintage bookprint flower with a brad to the centre.
Lastly, I've added some coloured buttons to include all the colours in the inspiration picture.
Here's a closer look:

We'd love to see you join in with this challenge - pop over to the Lollipop Ladies blog and view all the details.  And be sure to check out all the fabulous work from the other Design Team ladies.  Look forward to seeing what you create for this sweet challenge.

The Lollipop Ladies - Challenge 3 = Lollipops

The Lollipop Ladies are back with another sweet challenge - we hope you all enjoyed the last one!  It was great seeing all that PINK!  This next inspiration still has lots of yummy pink and the theme is Lollipops with a bonus challenge to use acetate or cellophane - How fun is that!

Here's what I've come up with:

I've gone with a scrapbook LO today and have been inspired by the lollipop flowers and the colours!  I've used this fun picture of my niece Amber; another LO to add to her album.
I've used different shades of pink in Stampin'Up cardstock and some printed paper by October Afternoon.
For my flower embellishments, I've used vintage bookprint, felt die-cuts, acetate and some buttons - one from my stash and the yellow spotted button from Lil Red Rocket.
The bright yellow button is from the Chip-Chop Shop and I've added a small yellow rose.  Then I've poped in some pink trinket pins.
My little bit of journalling is printed from the computer and I've used the Nested Labels 3 to cut out and then mount onto a paper lace doily.
Lastly, I've added some faux stitching and stamped flower image to the base card.
Here's a closer look:

Here's my creation for this challenge:

My inspiration came from the lovely pink colour and the cup-cake itself.
I've used Melon Mambo from Stampin'Up and teamed it with some paper from Basic Grey - Nook & Pantry.
I've used a cupcake stamp from my stash - coloured in the bottom half, then added layers of pink felt, a brad and flower.  For the ruffles, I've stiched some pink fabric to the cardstock - I love how this turned out and I think I'm going to be doing this some more!
Here's a closer look at the details:
