For a Special Lady

Today over at TGIF Challenges we are honoring all of the special ladies in our lives. There are so many amazing ladies in my life, but none more amazing than my momma!

I love this in between season of catalogs where, as a demonstrator, you can mix up old favorites with upcoming new favorites!  I inked up the beautiful Artistically Inked stamp set in new In-Colors, Moody Mauve and Wild Wheat.  These colors are gorgeous, especially when you mix in a little Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow on a Crumb Cake card base.

I am a huge collector of ribbon, but often fail to use it.  Anyone else guilty of this?!?  The new In Color Textured Ribbon will NOT be left sitting on my ribbon rack.  It is so pretty and I will certainly be using all of the colors!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the other beautiful creations from our talented design team and join us in the fun!

Happy Stamping!

Plentiful Birthday Wishes

Welcome to an all new Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring a super fun sketch and I can not wait to see everyone's projects! Take a peek at the sketch below and hop along to see all of the creative inspiration we have to share.

May be an image of text that says 'Control Freaks Sketch Challenge April 2023'

Wasn't Wendy's card amazing?!?  So much talent!

I've been giving a lot of love to my stamp sets that will soon be retiring and today's sketch was perfect for the Plentiful Plants stamp set!  I am SUPER sad to see this stamp set go.  This is one I will hang on to forever!

I started out by cutting the panels in all different colors, then embossing them with a variety of embossing folders for a lot of awesome texture.

I stamped all of the plants in various shades of green and tucked them in pots to coordinate with the panels. A tiny bit of Frayed Ribbon strands were the only embellishments needed.  I used my favorite go-to Happy Birthday sentiment from Artistically Inked to complete the sketch.

Hop along to Debbie for more creativity...you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for hopping along with us!  We hope you will find the inspiration you need to create your own project with this sketch!

Happy Stamping!

Plentiful Birthday Wishes

Hello stampin' friends!  I'm up and at 'em early this morning, getting in some creative therapy before I tackle another work day.  One of my co-workers has a birthday coming up next week and I needed a special card just for her!
Inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, I pulled out Plentiful Plants...one of my all time favorite stamp sets!

I stamped a variety of plants in shades of Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive, blending the ink with a Blender Pen to create a softer look.  I stamped the pot in Calypso Coral for a little added pop of color.

I added one more shade of green with a Mint Macaron pattern of Design a Daydream DSP.  A Kraft hexagon was added to go along with the sketch, along with an Artistically Inked Happy Birthday sentiment...heat embossed, of course!

As I was assembling the card, it felt like there was too much white, so I added a few Crumb Cake splatters with the Stampin' Write Marker.  An extra layer of Basic White embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder added just the right amount of texture.

There is something about a simple design of a card that I just love and creating this card this morning gave me a good reset to start my day...creative therapy at its best!

What Would You Do Without a Sentiment?

Happy Friday and welcome to an all new TGIF What Would You Do Challenge.  This week we were challenged to create a card without a sentiment.  Seems easy enough, right?  WRONG!  To create a card without a sentiment is, well, challenging!

I decided to go with some big, bold Artistically Inked flowers to cover the card front.  The two large blooms were stamped in Calypso Coral, with So Saffron centers.  The smaller flowers were stamped in Pale Papaya, with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent leaves.

Some bits of gold were added with the Artistic Dies leaves cut from Distressed Gold and a few Seasonal Sequins.
Did you notice the marbled background?  This was created with the marbled image from the stamp set, stamped several times across the card stock.  I LOVE how it turned out.  Some texture was added with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.

This all ended up coming together in the end.  Now the real question...will I add a sentiment at a later time?!?  Only the recipient will know!

Join along in this fun and challenging challenge!  I can't wait to see all of the sentiment-less creations!

Happy Stampin!

Artistic Hello ~ Hand Stamped Sentiments

It's time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge and this one is so much fun!  I love all of the colors and images...the possibilities are endless!

I was inspired by the floral image as well as the colors.  The Artistically Inked bundled seemed perfect for this beautiful color combination.

I stamped and die cut the floral and leave images in shades of Night of Navy and Blushing Bride.  I die cut the large intricate floral image from a piece of Gold Metallic Specialty paper and layered the stamped flowers on top.  I love this metallic paper!
A few splatters of Blushing Bride were stamped around the edges and just a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels brought everything together, along with (my favorite) a heat embossed Hello.

I've been in to wonky layers lately and that seemed to work well with this card too. A Blushing Bride card base and a piece of Night of Navy were just what the Basic White piece card front needed.

Be sure to join in the fun over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and share what you were inspired to create!

Happy Stamping!

Artistically Thankful ~ #TGIFC348

Merry Christmas Eve stampers!  Ready or not, Christmas is almost here!

The TGIF Challenges Design Team is also here with an all new challenge for you.  It's time to mask up...with the masking technique!

Thank You cards are always a good thing to have on hand this time of year, right?  I inked up an Annual Catalog favorite...Artistically Inked.

I masked off the center of the card, stamping the Night of Navy blooms on either side.  I also stamped the large bloom then fussy cut it out to use as a mask for the Granny Apple Green leaves and the smaller Costal Cabana Blooms.  Such a fun technique.  Oh, and I can't forget the Calypso Coral dots...just the right amount of color!

I stamped the Thanks sentiment on Night of Navy and heat embossed it in white. I love this font!  There was a bit too much blank space, so I added a strip of Coastal Cabana behind the Night of Navy.  But it still needed something...Metallic Mesh Ribbon was just what it needed!

A little bit of white twine and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were the perfect final touches.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Happy Stamping!

Offering Our Thanks and Gratitude ~ Control Freaks November Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are full of thankfulness and gratitude and can't wait to share it all with you.  Whether you started here or arrived from the amazing Tami Hewlett's blog, be sure to hop your way all the way through!

The first card I am staring today was a special project for a dear friend at work.  She requested several Thank You cards for secretaries across our school district and I was more than happy to comply!

We are nearing the end of our beautiful fall season where I'm from, but a few leaves are still hanging on, providing a last bit of inspiration!  I started by stamping the Birch background stamp on a sheet of Basic White.  I die cut some Intricate Leaves Dies in shades of Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Merry Merlot and Early Espresso.  A circle of Cork Specialty Paper was the perfect amount of texture to go along with these beautiful fall colors.
A simple Thanks sentiment from Artistically Inked heat embossed in white on Basic Black added a pop of boldness and a little bit of pulled-apart Crumb Cake Bakers Twine and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were all that were needed to finished this card off.

Next up is a wintery thank you using the Peaceful Cabin Bundle.  If you haven't seen the Peaceful Place DSP in person, you MUST add it to your collection before its too late.  This paper is filled with beautiful wintery images with a surprise of some silver foil mixed throughout.

The serene cabin and trees were stamped in Basic Gray, then die-cut with the coordinating Cabin dies.  Isn't that little fox the cutest?!?! These were layered together on top of a shimmery treelined piece of DSP to create a peaceful winter retreat. I need to find a place like this to visit soon!

Once again, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on Basic Gray and added just a bit of bling with the Subtle Shimmer Sequins. I just love the calming nature of this suite...it's gorgeous!

We are so thankful for all of you hopping along with us!  We love to share our
creations with you!

Next up on the hop is the wonderful Wendy Weixler!

Happy Stamping!

Artistically Inked Birthday ~ #TGIFC342

Happy Friday stampers!

It's time for an all new TGIF Challenges Sketch Challenge!  I always love a good sketch to get me started on any of my projects!

I've been playing around with the Artistically Inked stamp set and thought it would be great for this weeks sketch!  I inked up the largest flower from the stamp set in Magenta Madness and the smaller in Coastal Cabana.  And what green goest best with bright, beautiful blooms...Granny Apple Green of course!  Since I forgot to get the dies when I purchased this stamp set, I happily fussy cut all of the flowers.

You all know that I love me some black and white strips, so I put this cute pattern of Cute Halloween DSP to good use!  A little peek-a-boo layer of Coastal Cabana gave a little extra pop of color.

The Happy Birthday sentiment was just right to go along with the sketch!  A bit of bakers twine pulled apart and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were just the right amount of embellishment for this cheerful birthday greeting!

I hope you'll join along in the fun this week over at TGIF Challenges!

OnStage@Home is happening this weekend, so I am hoping to be back next week with some fun new and inspiring ideas to share.  But for now, I am going to enjoy a weekend in Utah with some of my favorite stamping friends!!!

Happy Stamping!
