Merry Monday Thank You

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a restful and relaxing weekend that included a little creative time.  I was able to spend quite a bit of time in my craft room this weekend, which made my creative heart very happy!

This Merry Monday brings you a wintery Thank You card, inspired by the amazing Mikaela Titheridge.  She created a beautiful card with the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set, using Basic Beige rather than Basic White for the birds.  I love how the Basic Beige softens the stamped image!
I wanted to go with a softer shade for the berries, but after coloring them in Calypso Coral, the berries looked like something totally different and maybe a bit inappropriate...so Real Red it was!

I added an extra layer of greenery behind the birds to make it a bit more festive.  The pop of red behind the birch pattern Nests of Winter DSP, along with the sentiment embossed on red give this card the warm, wintery feeling.

Just a hint of texture was added using the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder.  I think I'll be making a lot of these to send out as Christmas Thank You cards this year!

Happy Stamping!

Simply Zinnia Thank You

Whew...we made it through Monday and on to Tuesday!  And guess what this Tuesday means...an all new Hand Stamped Sentiment Challenge!  This week we have a unique sketch challenge to play along with.  We can't wait to see all of the creativity this sketch inspires.

I came home to absolutely beautiful weather...sunny and 70!  I can not wait for my flower gardens to be blooming with beautiful flowers soon.  While I wait, the Flowering Zinnia's DSP and coordinating stamp set will help to create beautiful blooms on paper!

I fussy cut the Zinnia pattern, placing a Deckled Circle behind the flowers to go along with the sketch.  A simple Deckled Rectangle banner for the sentiment and a Paper Butterfly Accents helped to complete the elements of the sketch.

The Zinnia 3D embossing folder added the perfect amount of texture and some itty bitty Brushed Brass Butterflies helped to complete the card.

I hope you will join along with this challenge!  We always love to see what everyone is creating!

Grateful Cottage Wreath

Happy Friday stampers and welcome to an all new TGIF Challenges!  This week we a  focusing on Thank You cards. And when you have a graphic this beautiful, you can use it as inspiration as well!

I loved the graphic and used it for inspiration for my card, pulling out Cottage Wreaths for the first time in a while.  White on white make for some of the most beautiful cards, especially when you add in just a pop of color.  I stamped the leaves in Lost Lagoon, added a few Petal Pink Sentimental Park dies flowers and a bold Coastal Cabana sentiment.

A simple Linen Thread bow and few Iridescent Pearls for the center of the flowers were the finishing touches for a card filled with gratefulness.

Today wraps up my first week back to work after my summer break and I am struggling to find my groove again!  Hopefully over the next couple of weeks, I will get back into a routine!

Happy Stamping!

Earthen Thanks

The Monday Montage crew is back at it!  Hop along with us on our latest creative journey.

Speaking of journeys, my stamping BFF and our very own Monday Montage hopper, Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations, made her way from Utah to Washington state for a long weekend.  We made fresh strawberry jam from the BEST local strawberries, visited the lavender farm, took in a baseball game and of course, STAMPED!  Wendy brought along some of her stamp sets and dies that I don't have.  There is nothing better than creating with new products!

Earthen Textures Bundle is one that I've had my eye on for a bit, but have not yet added to my collection.  After creating this card, I think it will be joining the rest of my stamps very soon!

I love all of the texture in the stamped images and the dies are amazing!  Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat and Gray Granite make for a beautiful color combination.  Do you spy the Natural Wavy Trim peeking out from the bottom of the sentiment?  I LOVE this ribbon!
The fan die is amazing!   When you fold on the score lines, it adds a bit of dimension to the die-cut paper...so awesome!

Expect to see more with this bundle in the near future...it will be added to my cart very soon!

Be sure to check out all of the other amazing designer creations by clicking the NEXT or BACK buttons below.

Sentimental Thanks

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a colorful new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.  A couple of these colors have retired, so I swapped Mango Melody for Daffodil Delight and Mint Macaron for Soft Sea Foam.

It's also case the designer over at Global Design Project, where they are casing the amazing Krista Frattin.  I used the layout of her card to create my card today.
I used Sentimental Park for a sweet and simple thank you card.  The flowers were colored in Petal Pink with just a touch of Daffodil Delight.  Some die-cut Soft Sea Foam greenery was tucked in and layered on top of a Balmy Blue Stylish Shapes circle.  A fussy cut thanks and a few little Petal Pink die-cut flowers, embellished with a few rhinestones, completed the card.

Sweet, simple and oh-so-cute!

Sweet Citrus Thanks

Mother Nature is still trying to decide what season it is around here, but I think she's almost made up her mind that it really is spring!  The beautiful blue skies are making an appearance and the sun is shining...it just needs to warm up a bit more and spring will officially be here!

This weeks Global Design Project Color Challenge certainly feels like spring and when you pair it up with this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, you end up with a springy Sweet Citrus thank you!

I am trying to used up as much as my retiring product as I possibly can and this color challenge was the perfect way to put this adorable Tahitian Tide pattern of Tea Boutique DSP to use.  What's more cheerful than polka dots and citrus fruits?!?
I added a couple Stylish Shapes die cuts to go along with the sketch. I'm so happy these dies made the cut for another year!  I dressed up the fruit with a splash of Petal Pink stamped flowers, a bit of Tahitian Tide Baker's Twine and few clear Milky Dots.  So cute!

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Twist of Thanks

It's time for an all new Monday Montage blog hop!  I love hopping with all of these talented ladies and I know you will love all of the projects we have to share with you this week.

I wasn't quite ready to put the Sweet Citrus Bundle away after my last card, so you are getting a double dose of Vitamin C(ute) today!

I decided to go with a twist of lime...or Parakeet Party for this card.  I stamped the outline of the limes in full color and stamped off the insides one time for a true lime look.

When I think of lime trees, I think of the little one that I tried growing a few years ago.  Just before the tiniest little limes grew, it was full of pretty little white blooms. I tried to recreate that look with a few Petal Pink blooms tucked in to some little sprigs from the Ranunculus Dies.

Does the layout of this card look familiar?  I cased my own card that I created a few weeks ago for another Monday Montage project.  Do you ever case yourself?

Next up is the sweet Cathy of Sugar Shack Designs!  I know she will have something fabulous to share with all of you this week!

Or if you want to hop on back, you will find yourself visiting my dear friend Wendy of Wickedly Wonderful Creations!
Thanks for hopping along with us this week! Happy Stamping!

Driving By To Say Thanks

Hello stampers and happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Ours was pretty quiet, which was really nice!

I still have this week off for Winter Break and have been enjoying some time in my craft room.  I've been on a mission to get all of my Christmas thank you cards made and hopefully sent out before the New Year.

Driving By is an adorable new stamp set available for FREE during the January-February 2022 Sale-A-Bration!  This is one you are going to want to earn for sure!

I colored the cute little bug in Real Red, along with the packages as well.  Some Granny Apple Green was added in to go along with the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP peeking out of the Picture This Dies.

I heat embossed a couple different sentiments from the stamp set on Basic Black, fussy cutting them out for the perfect sentiment for this card.

A few Matte Decorative Dots were added and this card was complete!  It was super easy and fun to replicate too.

My goal is to create at least one card every day this week...fingers crossed it actually happens!

Happy Stamping!

Offering Our Thanks and Gratitude ~ Control Freaks November Blog Hop

Welcome to the November Control Freaks Blog Hop!  This month we are full of thankfulness and gratitude and can't wait to share it all with you.  Whether you started here or arrived from the amazing Tami Hewlett's blog, be sure to hop your way all the way through!

The first card I am staring today was a special project for a dear friend at work.  She requested several Thank You cards for secretaries across our school district and I was more than happy to comply!

We are nearing the end of our beautiful fall season where I'm from, but a few leaves are still hanging on, providing a last bit of inspiration!  I started by stamping the Birch background stamp on a sheet of Basic White.  I die cut some Intricate Leaves Dies in shades of Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Merry Merlot and Early Espresso.  A circle of Cork Specialty Paper was the perfect amount of texture to go along with these beautiful fall colors.
A simple Thanks sentiment from Artistically Inked heat embossed in white on Basic Black added a pop of boldness and a little bit of pulled-apart Crumb Cake Bakers Twine and a few Artistry Blooms sequins were all that were needed to finished this card off.

Next up is a wintery thank you using the Peaceful Cabin Bundle.  If you haven't seen the Peaceful Place DSP in person, you MUST add it to your collection before its too late.  This paper is filled with beautiful wintery images with a surprise of some silver foil mixed throughout.

The serene cabin and trees were stamped in Basic Gray, then die-cut with the coordinating Cabin dies.  Isn't that little fox the cutest?!?! These were layered together on top of a shimmery treelined piece of DSP to create a peaceful winter retreat. I need to find a place like this to visit soon!

Once again, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on Basic Gray and added just a bit of bling with the Subtle Shimmer Sequins. I just love the calming nature of this suite...it's gorgeous!

We are so thankful for all of you hopping along with us!  We love to share our
creations with you!

Next up on the hop is the wonderful Wendy Weixler!

Happy Stamping!

Meadows of Thanks ~ #HSSIC370

Hello stampers and welcome to an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge!  These inspiration photos make me think of all the fun my family has had this summer!

We've spent the past week wrapping up the end of my summer break at the Oregon Coast.  We are headed home today, back to the 100+ degree weather.  Leaving the cool ocean air was NOT easy, nor will going back to work next week!

My inspiration was drawn from the sunflowers.  Seeing the sunflowers bloom in my garden is always a bitter sweet reminder that summer break is coming to an end.  Thankfully, I'll get to continue to enjoy these cheerful flowers in my garden for a bit long and in my craft room for as long as I want!

The flowers in Nature's Harvest are, what I believe, are Cone Flowers.  They are often found in the same colors as sunflowers and are another one of my favorites!  I stamped the bunch of flowers in Memento, then colored them in shades of Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Soft Suede.

I cut strips of the beautiful Misty Moonlight pattern of DSP as well as a die-cut circle from a Bumble Bee DSP pattern.  I popped up the strips of Misty Moonlight to give them a floating effect and added the circle with the bunch of flowers layered on top.  A sweet Thank You sentiment with some bits of ribbon and twine and a few Metallic Dots completed the card.

While I am far from ready for summer to be over, I love these warm fall colors!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I do hope you will join us over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and share what you were inspired to create!

Happy Stamping!

Simple Sweet Blooming Butterflies

Hello!!  After a week of craft room chaos and renovations, I was finally able to set up a make-shift craft area and create again!  New paint and flooring have been taken care of, but I am waiting for my new desk to be built, which will hopefully be done in a few weeks.

Last week was Classified School Employee Week and our administrators showered us with appreciation, kindness and thoughtfulness all week long! From fun cards and candy to flowers and a special lunch, it was a week full of feeling so loved.  Inspired by the amazing Dena Rekow, I cased these simple sweet blooming butterflies to create the perfect thank you cards.
After die cutting the butterflies using the Brilliant Wings Dies, I stamped the flowers from Pretty Perennials in variety of bright, springy colors...Bumble Bee, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Magenta Madness.  I LOVE this color combo!  I popped the butterfly up on a few Dimensionals on a Basic White card front.
A simple thank you sentiment, heat embossed on Basic Black, and a few Matte Black Dots were added to make a bold statement on a simple card.  Thank you Dena for the beautiful inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back later this week with more to share!

Happy Stamipng!

Happy Tuesday stampers!  I don't know about you, but my Monday flew by...and I'm not complaining!  I'm happy it's Tuesday and time for an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge.  I just love these warm colors...perfect for fall!

I have been using Forever Fern for just about every occasion lately, so why not a thank you card too?  These colors are a little different than those used in the Forever Greenery Suite, but I think you could use just about any color with these beautiful images!

I created my own patterned paper, stamping some of the different leaves and seed pods in the various colors of tis challenge, then stamped a few to cut out with the coordinating Forever Flourishing Dies.

I added a Gold Hoop Embellishment for the tiniest bit of bling and a pretty Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon.  The card was finished off with a simple Thank You sentiment from Beautiful Autumn, cutting it out with my favorite Tasteful Labels Dies.

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Bumblebee, Blackberry Bliss
Stamp Sets ~ Forever Fern, Beautiful Autumn
Other Supplies ~ Subtle Embossing Folder, Forever Flourishing Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies, Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon, Gold Hoop Embellishment

#TGIFC268 Sketch Challenge

We've made it through another week!  If I'm being honest, even though I am still working and my boys are still doing school from home, the days all seem to blend together.  Half the time I can't even remember what day it is!
But I always make sure I remember when Friday's roll around because that always means it's time for an all new TGIF Challenges.
This week we have a fun Sketch/Technique challenge for you to play along with.  Trim down the front panel of your card to reveal the inside.  FUN!
I might of cheated a little...I forgot to trim the front panel!  I glued things down before I realized that I had forgotten this step and I was too lazy to start over.  You'll forgive me, right?!?!
The Ornate Boarders Dies were perfect for this challenge!  I love the cute little flower and the negative stems came in perfect for some additional embellishments.  I was a little worried that the gingham ribbon was going to be too heavy with these dainty little flowers, but it all tied in together so well!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Just Jade, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink ~ VersaMark
Stamp Set ~ Ornate Thanks
Other Supplies ~ Ornate Boarders Dies, Tasteful Touches Dies, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, Just Jade Gingham Ribbon, White Embossing Powder

My boys will be wrapping up their final week of school next week, which means one more thank you card will go out to their teachers.  I know that these past couple of months have been HARD and I appreciate ALL that they have done!

Here's to a fantastic weekend!

Happy Stamping!

Thanks for the Best Catch ~ HSSSC#338

I have lost track of what day of quarantine we are on, but I do know that today is Tuesday because we have an all new Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge for you!  This week we have a great sketch for you to play along with and I can't wait to see what you all create!
I'm stamping my way through some of my favorite retiring items. Best Catch is one of my all time favorite masculine stamp sets and I am VERY sad that it is retiring!  This is one that I just can't part with!
My son, Hunter, is an avid fisherman and is currently going crazy not being able to fish.  We are hopeful that our stay home orders will be lifted on May 5th and that fishing will reopen.  In the meantime, Hunter has been organizing and reorganizing all of his fishing gear while he waits.  A few weeks ago, one of his teachers called and told him that he had some fishing gear that he was getting rid of and asked him to come take a look.  My kid came home with a HUGE duffle bag FULL of fishing gear.  His day was made, as was his teachers!  I love the fishing/hunting bond that they share and am sad that this will be his last year getting to see this teacher.  But I know that they will stay in touch to share their fishing and hunting stories!

Hunter asked me to make a thank you card for him to take to his teacher, along with his favorite Dairy Queen treat.  Today's sketch was perfect for his request!
Using my Stampin' Blends, I did my best to create a Salmon...my son said I nailed it.  I'll take that as a mom WIN!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Sea Foam, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Ink ~ VersaMark, Memento, Stampin' Blends:  Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Cajun Craze, Smoky Slate
Stamp Sets ~ Best Catch, Free As A Bird, Crackle Paint
Other Supplies ~ Catch of the Day Dies, Silver Metallic Thread, Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets, Subtle Embossing Folder

I'm not sure what I'm going to do without my Silver Metallic Thread either...I use this on EVERYTHING!  But I know that there are several new things coming our way that will help me find the "silver" lining!

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Happy Stamping!

Tropical Wishes ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop!  You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers!

I don't know about you, but I was very happy to have a crafty distraction this weekend!  We received information late Friday afternoon that all schools in our state would be shutting down for 6 weeks, effective Tuesday, March 17th.  We had a pretty good idea this was coming, but did not think it would be for this long.  Thankfully, our school district has blessed us with an amazing superintendent who has been planning for this for the past two weeks, so we are somewhat ahead of the game...but there is still so much left to be figured out and rolled out to students and families.  So, as I said, I was VERY happy to have a crafty distraction this weekend!
Most of you know by now that I LOVE to fussy cut!  It is my go-to when I need some craft-therapy.  Fussy cutting is something that calms me and helps me to quiet my mind when so many other things want to over take it.  The Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack has so many great images that were absolutely perfect for a few special request cards my friend asked me to make for her.

I love these beautiful Lily flowers...they are one of my favorites that I have in my own yard.  I can't wait for them to begin blooming in a few months!  I cut these beauties out and added them to a few beautiful layers of stamped card stock, Tropical Oasis DSP and a Coastal Weave embossed piece of card stock.  The card was finished off with the beautiful birthday sentiment from Timeless Tropical.
And who doesn't love a pineapple?!?!  Honestly, the pineapples are what sold me!  I had to have the ENTIRE Tropical Oasis suite all because of the pineapples!  Again I stamped, embossed and layered everything up before I added the fussy cut pineapple and Thank You sentiment.
I saved my favorite for last!  My friend needed a card for her niece's 21st birthday, which she will be celebrating in Maui.  This tasty coconut drink was meant to be!  And the fun fruity DSP is my favorite in the pack!  And I know....the Large Number Dies are retired, but they are dies that I will keep and use forever.
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Soft Suede, Pretty Peacock, So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Lovely Lipstick, Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove
Ink ~ Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pretty Peacock, So Saffron, Soft Suede
Stamp Sets ~ Timeless Tropical, Piece of Cake
Other Supplies ~ Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Shapes, Large Numbers (retired)

As we head in to a new week, I pray that we all stay healthy and united as a country as we face what ever comes our way.  I am still uncertain what my job will consist of as our schools close for 6 weeks, but a little part of me is hoping that it will consist of working a bit more from home so I can sneak in a little more crafting time.

Stay well friends!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Now, on to the next stop on the hop!

Happy Stamping!

We've added a list of everyone's home pages so you can hop along in any order you wish!  Just make sure you don't miss any!
