Jake and the Neverland Pirates

Ahoy Matey and welcome to April's SSINK Layout Challenge.  I have been slacking in keeping up with documenting fun events so far this year...maybe it's because I'm still in denial over MDS going away :(  After designing this page, I decided I am going to make the most of MDS while I can and get caught back up!
This page is from a fun Mommy & Son date!  My BFF and I took our boys to a Disney Junior Life show featuring Sofia the First and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  Neither of the boys were too excited about the princesses, but as soon as Jake came out, they were all smiles and LOVE it!

I used the Ahoy Matey DSP for this...pretty fitting for Jake, right?  And of course I had to turn the hexagon in the sketch into Mickey ears!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to head on over to SSINK to see the other design team takes on the sketch...and while you're at it, join in the fun!!

Happy Stamping!

Climb...Conquer...Cure....Part II

Here we are....back at Monday again!  This weekend went by WAY too fast for my liking...how about you?  Our weekend was super busy with baseball tryouts, final soccer games, celebrating with friends and stamp club.  While I did get to stamp a bit with some of my favorite stampers yesterday, I didn't get to spend NEAR enough time creating in my craft room.

I did, however, get to spend a little time with MDS over the weekend, and that made me happy :)  It's time for an all new layout over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.  You may have seen my layout last week from our Stairclimb weekend.  I had a few more pictures that I wanted to add to our family yearbook, so I used this sketch and turned both pages into a two-page layout.

I wish you could see just how tall this building is in person...it's HUGE!!!   A big congrats to all of the finishers for climbing 69 flights of stairs in that beast of a building!  I didn't get to help my hubby as he crossed the finish line, but I did get to see him finish and was able to meet him as he came around the corner and get a few pictures before I had to get back to work.  As I said before, it was an amazing opportunity to volunteer for this event.  I look forward to going again next year and for many more years to come.

I hope our sketch has INKspired you to get CREATIVE today!

Happy Stamping...or scrapping...or MDSing!!!

Climb...Conquer...Cure

This past weekend, my hubby participated in the 24th Annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb.  He climbed 69 flights of stairs...that's 1,311 steps...all to support the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  This was his 3rd year participating as a climber and he did an awesome job!!!  Not only are they climbing all those stairs, but they are doing it in FULL firefighter gear, including their 60+ air tanks...NOT an easy task!

These kiddos touched my heart in a big way and I just had to document this part of my day...I used this weeks MDS Monday sketch to help get me started.  Be sure to check out all of the great design team creations, as well as all of the other participants...there are some awesome MDS skills there!!!

I had the great honor of volunteering at the event this year and I can not WAIT to go back next year.  I spent my morning checking in participants, other volunteers and honorees.  It was heartwarming to meet the honorees and their families, especially the sweet babies in this picture.  The two older children are cousins who were diagnosed with leukemia within weeks of each other, but battled the disease and were honored in a BIG way at the climb!  The family was overwhelmed with the special treatment they got throughout the day and the smiles on the faces of those babies made me realize what this event was really about.

I got to spend the second half of my day at the top of the building helping firefighters remove their gear at the finish line...not as glorious as it sounds ladies!  I was covered from head to toe in sweat from hundreds of firefighers...pretty gross, but still an amazing opportunity.  All of the honorees of the event were also able to come up to the top floor to watch the firefighters cross the finish line.  Even though these firefighters were beyond exhausted from climbing all those stairs, nearly all of them made it a point to go and visit with the honorees...it still makes me tear up just thinking about it.

I left the tower at the end of the day with a full heart, feeling very blessed.  This is an amazing event and my hubby and I are both so proud to have had the chance to be a part of it and look forward to many more years to come!

Dear Santa...

Happy Monday friends!!!  Have you all recovered from the football games yesterday?!?!?  How 'bout those Seahawks?!?!?  It's going to be a few days before I have my voice back I think!  We had lots of celebrating going on at my house last night :-)
The girls over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration are celebrating in their own crafty way with a new layout sketch!
This two page layout was the perfect way to showcase photos from our trip to Coeur d'Alene last month for my twins 9th birthday celebration.  We gave them the choice of having a party with their friends or taking a surprise trip to somewhere fun with mom and dad.  They surprised us by choosing to take a trip with us (they still like us at 9 years old...hope this continues!) and had a dozen different guesses about where it was we were going.  They were SUPER excited when we pulled up to Triple Play, an indoor waterpark, bowling alley and arcade.  They were also surprised by a fun Christmas Light Cruise around the Coeur d'Alene resort.  The lights were amazing!!!  And the best part...seeing the excitement in their eyes when Santa read their name from the "Good List".  I love the fact that they still believe in Santa :-)

We never had the opportunity to visit Santa this year, but they were happy to sit on {statue} Santa's lap at the arcade!
This is a trip that we will all remember for years to come, even more so since I documented it...love my MDS!
Be sure to check out the other fantastic layouts and be sure to join in the fun!  We love to see what you create!

Happy Stamping!!

Miss Ellie "Bee"

A few months ago my hubby and I were tossing around the idea of getting another dog after losing our Maggie dog last February.  Since we already have a GIANT yellow lab, we knew we wanted a smaller dog.  Well, we got a smaller dog...a teeny-tiny, itty-bitty smaller dog and I love her to pieces!  Her name is Ellie, or Ellie B, and she is a teacup Chiweenie (Chihuahua and wiener dog mix).  We got her right before Halloween, so I had to dress her up!  Every little dog has to be dressed up, right?!?!
After I brought Miss Ellie home, my mom fell in love with her and wanted one too.  There had been one female in the litter left, but a friend of mine had taken her before my mom had made up her mind.  She was pretty bummed out :(  After a couple of weeks, my friend decided they were unable to keep the puppy because they were gone from home too much due to work and sporting events for her girls, and she asked if my mom was still interested in the puppy.  Of course she was!!!  So, on Halloween day, Miss Maddy, (or Brown Dog, as my youngest calls her) came to live with my parents and gets to spend her days at my house while my parents work.  These two tiny terrors are the best of friends and have so much fun together!  I'm so happy we have both of them.  AND my BFF has one of the other sisters too!

I pulled my inspiration for these pages from this week's and last week's challenge over at MDS Monday.  I did alter the sketch for this weeks challenge so I could include both pictures...I just had to have both of them on the page!

Happy Wednesday and Happy Stamping!!!

My Babies Aren't Babies Anymore

Nine years ago today, in the very early morning hours, two tiny little men could wait no longer to make their appearance in this big ol' world!  It seems crazy that they are 9 years old already...it all goes by so darn fast!!!
Each year I always create a page on my kids birthday, so I'm sharing their page with you today...
Being that they were 6 weeks early, they put them in the same warmer in the nursery as soon as they were free of all of their wires and IV's...and to this day they still can't stand to sleep apart from each other.  They can be fighting like wild men one minute and laughing and joking the next...the joys of boys!  And the whole twin dynamic this is pretty awesome to witness...they are so in sync with each other and so alike, yet so different.  I love them to the moon and back and count my blessings every single day that they came into my life!

Of course you can't have a birthday without birthday treats for school...Seahawks of course!  I made almost 50 of these tags and nearly 100 cookies for them to bring to their classmates today.  These fun stamps come from Papertrey Ink and are perfect for my football loving boys!
And you can't forget the birthday cards...
The Huskies for Aidan
and the Cougars for Hunter
We are joining them for lunch at school this afternoon then whisking them away for the weekend for a surprise trip to Triple Play where they will get to swim the weekend away at an indoor waterpark, as well as laser tag, bowling and lots of fun arcade games!  It's been hard to keep it a secret from them, but fun to hear them chat about where they think we are going.

Happy Birthday Aidan and Hunter!

And Happy Stamping to all of you!

A House Divided

Happy Monday!!!  (Is there really such thing as a happy Monday?!?!?)  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  It was kind of a low key one for us...just what my family needed before the big birthday/Christmas craziness hits us!
It's time for this months Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Scrapbook Sketch and it's a fun one this month!
The Apple Cup was a few weeks ago and our family had a little fun!  My twins often turn heads when they are seen out, one wearing his Cougar sweatshirt and the other wearing his Huskies sweatshirt.  This little rivalry has been going on with them for a while now, so we decided to place a little bet during the Apple Cup.  The losing team had to cook the winning team the breakfast of their choice, which we (the Husky fans) happily redeemed yesterday morning!  We had root beer milkshakes (my son's request), homemade cinnamon rolls (my request) and breakfast casserole (my dads request).  We ate well and had fun celebrating our win!  I created today's page using a picture of our divided family before we headed home from our Thanksgiving beach trip :-)

I will say, my dad and I are more Cougar fans than Husky fans, but we wanted to be sure to support Aidan in this little bet...and boy did it pay off!!

Be sure to check out the other fun layouts from our design team and be sure to play along!!!

Happy Stamping (and MDS'ing!)

Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?

Do you ever take a picture and think "I can't wait to get this into MDS!"???  It happens to me all the time and I love it!  One of my twins went to a birthday party this weekend (while his poor brother had to stay home sick...boo!) and was one of three boys in a house full of Frozen-crazed girls.  The party was Frozen themed and the birthday girl wanted all of her friends to dress up for pictures at her party and Hunter wasn't about to let her down.  Her mom sent this picture to us from the party and I haven't stopped giggling over it!
Isn't it awesome?!?!?  This wasn't the only dress up picture we got either!  He was a witch along with a few other crazy get-up's he put together.  I love that he wasn't embarrassed and had so much fun dressing up with the girls!
My sketch for this fun page came from none other than MDS Monday ...my favorite place to stop for some MDS inspiration!
And a Frozen themed birthday party can't be attended without a Frozen birthday card!  Thanks to the amazing Lyssa Griffin Zwolanek of Song of My Heart Stampers, I CASE'd her super cute Elsa card for the birthday girl!  It's always a special treat for me to make a fun girly-girl card...living in a house full of boys and all!
Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Pool Party, Bermuda Bay
Ink ~ Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana
Stamp Set ~ Endless Wishes
Other Supplies ~ Northern Flurry, Frosted Sequins, Basic Rhinestones, Silver Ribbon

Happy Tuesday to all of you!!!  One more day closer to the weekend....yippee!!!

Merry Little {MDS} Christmas Tags

It's time for me to get busy and start wrapping Christmas presents to put under my tree.  And if you are anything like me, you are always digging through your wrapping paper collection looking for tags for your packages.  Well, dig no more!  In just a few minutes, I was able to create some fun and festive tags in MDS, print them off and punch the tops with the awesome tag topper punches!
I love that you can create tags to match your wrapping paper all with a few clicks of your mouse.  No more mismatched paper and tags!

Be sure to head on over to SSINK today to check out some other fun tag ideas!

Happy Stamping!!

Ahoy, Birthday Boy

Being on vacation is allowing me a little time to catch up sharing some of my MDS creations and this is one of my favorite pages I've made recently.
This page was made during the last MDS Virtual Digi Crop I participated in.  Cindy had a fun sketch for us and I was happy to finish up a page from my son's 3rd Birthday photo shoot.
I used the Ahoy, Matey Kit for this page....the colors and DSP's are prefect for a little boy...bright, bold and FUN!!!
I added a few splatters because, well, boys are messy!!!
I used a Whisper White background, so it kind of looks like the images are popping right off the page...I love it!

I'm off to get in a run on the beach before the rain comes this afternoon.  I've been waiting to hit the sand since we rolled in to town yesterday!  You can bet I will have some more MDS pages to share soon with pictures from this trip.

Hope you all have a great day preparing for Thanksgiving tomorrow!!

Happy Stamping!!

November Layout

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  It is still super, SUPER cold here, so we spent most of the weekend inside trying to keep warm.  While I have a ton of yard work that needs to be done, the snow and below freezing temps gave me a good excuse to spend the weekend stamping and MDS-ing away :)
It's time for a new scrapbook layout over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and I am LOVING this sketch!
I'm still having fun putting all of our family photos into different layouts and this sketch was perfect for the pictures of my twins.  Below I have one page of my son, Hunter.
I wanted to have a two page layout of both boys, so I mirrored the layout of Hunter's page and made a second one for Aidan.
And here is what it will look like in our Family Yearbook...love it!  It's hard to believe these boys are one month away from being 9...where does the time go?!?!?
Be sure to head on over to SSINK and check out the rest of the scrapbook layouts AND cards using this fun layout!

Happy Stamping!!

Gratitude Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the November edition of Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop!  This month we are showing our gratitude...whether it be for our family and friends, or our childrens teachers, our neighbors or even our local law enforcement officers and fire fighter/paramedics...they all deserve our thanks!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number THREE on the Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration Blog Hop -  Diana at Stampin' Fun with Diana If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

Between the Marines celebrating their birthday on Monday and Veterans Day on Tuesday, there was lots of talk in my family about the sacrifices all of the service men and women make for all of us. It was heartwarming to hear my 9 year old boys talk about it and know that they really understood what Veterans Day is really about.  With those feelings fresh in my mind, I decided to show my gratitude for these amazing men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for those who continue to do so today!

Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Night of Navy, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Whisper White
Ink ~ Night of Navy, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry
Stamp Sets ~ Words of Courage (MDS), Be the Star, Truly Grateful
Other Supplies ~ Star Framelits

Another group of individuals I am always thankful are our local firefighters and paramedics.  Not only because my husband is part of this group of people, but because they too put their life on the line each and every day to make sure others are safe.
On September 11th this year, the department stood guard in front of a statue that was put up to honor those firefighter and paramedics who lost their life on 9/11.  This is something they do every year and it touches my heart every single time!
This page was created in MDS and will be added to our Family Yearbook...my favorite way to preserve our memories!

Thanks for hopping along with all of us today!  Be sure to hop along to all of the stops so you don't miss any of our INKspiring creations!

A Trip To Roloff Farm

How many of you watch and love TLC's Little People, Big World?  It is one of our family favorites and this year we were FINALLY able to go visit the Roloff Farm Pumpkin Patch.  Ever since I ran my first Helvatia Half Marathon and ran right past the entrance to the farm I have wanted to take my family to visit.
It was pouring rain when we got to the farm, but when the gates opened, we had a little break, just in time for a tractor tour of the farm.  We even got to have a brief visit with Matt Roloff...he's such a fun guy!  It was so cool to see so much of what we see on the show in real life!  Shortly after our tractor ride was over, the skies opened up again, but we kept on having fun!  As we were getting ready to head home, we spotted Amy...so exciting!!  She was so sweet and was happy to let us get a quick picture with her :-)
My boys were amazed by the HUGE pumpkins that the Roloff family had grown...I was too!  Some of them were over 125lbs!!!  That would make one big ol' pumpkin pie :-)

This awesome sketch comes from my new favorite challenge site, MDS Monday.  This weeks sketch is by Anita...I love the stripes!!!

Count Your Many Blessings

Good morning and Happy November!  Did everyone survive all of the Halloween festivities last night?  We joined some of our fire family for a little get together then took all of the little ghosts and goblins trick or treating.  It was a bit crazy, but a lot of fun!  And now we're on to November!
November is the month of gratitude and I love seeing and hearing all that everyone is thankful for.  I always try to remind myself of all that I have to be grateful for ALL year long, and not just one month out of the year.
When we got our family pictures back a few weeks ago, this picture quickly became my favorite. We are all together, but all looking in different directions...the true story of our family life!  We are all so busy, always running in different directions, but we always come together when it matters most!  This page will be the cover of this years Renwick Family Yearbook.
MDS Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Whisper White, Soft Suede, Fall Memories DSP
Ink ~ Bravo Burgandy, Sage Shadow, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, Smoky Slate
Stamp Sets ~ Fall Memories, Number One, Decorative Overlays Grid
Font ~ Eyes Wide Open

While it may be the month of gratitude, don't forget to be thankful for all that you have every day of the year!

Happy Stamping!

Hi friends!  I'm back again today sharing a new MDS page thanks to a fun layout by Jeanna over at MDS Monday.
This sketch was perfect for some of our family photos we just had done!  While I didn't go crazy with many embellishments, I LOVE the warm fall colors in the Fall Memories kit!  Paired up with an Everyday Adventure Project Life card, it made for a fun page of my little family!
MDS Supplies Used:
Paper ~ Bravo Burgundy, Fall Memories DSP
Ink ~ Bravo Burgundy, Calypso Coral, Close to Cocoa, Pool Party, So Saffron, Really Rust
Stamp Sets ~ Family Fun Photobook, Decorative Overlays
Other supplies ~ Fall Memories Embellishments, Everyday Adventures Pocket Card

Thanks for a fun, fun sketch Jeanna...I LOVE it!

The Giant Slide

Hello friends and welcome to a new week!  I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the fall like weather that so many of us are {finally} getting!  I took my boys to our local pumpkin patch this weekend and picked out a few pumpkins and played on the giant hay bale slide.  My boys were MUCH more excited about the slide than the pumpkins this year...so much so that I didn't get one single picture of them with the pumpkins.  Not to worry...there will be plenty of those next weekend when we visit Roloff Farms :-)  Even though we didn't get any pumpkin pictures, I DID get some fun pictures of them on the slide and couldn't wait to get into MDS and use them in this months layout sketch over at Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration.

I love the looks on all of my boys' faces...nothing but FUN!  My twins still had their baseball pants on from their game earlier in the day and quickly discovered they made them go SUPER fast down the slide!  I was laughing so hard their first time down I was crying!

It's days like this that I am so very grateful for all the little moments in my life...taking time to do fun things like this and seeing nothing but pure joy on their face and in their eyes!

Be sure to check out the rest of the layout sketches over at SSINK and don't forget to play along with us!

Happy Stamping!

The Most Happiest Place...

...oh how I wish I could go back!
Don't these pictures just make you smile?!?!?  How can you look at Disney pictures and not?
We had so many fun pictures together from our trip...I could create a whole album from the 4 days we were there.  We had so much fun and we were both really good about taking LOTS of pictures....lots of fun memories for sure!

I used this weeks MDS Monday sketch to get me started.  I love wrapping text around the pictures!

Looking at this page makes me want to go back to Disneyland again so bad, but it will be a couple more years before I get to...boo!  Wendy, the lucky lady that she is, will be heading back there again next month!  I'm planning on living vicariously through the pictures she posts while she is there!

TTFN!  Happy Friday!

Run Disney ~ SSINK September Scrap Sketch

Happy Monday friends!  Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  I don't know about you, but the weekend flew by way too fast...again!!  If only the work week went by as fast as the weekend...
But, here we are at Monday again, and that means it's time for a new challenge over SSINK.  This time it's a scrapbook layout...my favorite!
I have so many fun pictures from my trip to Disneyland last month, so of course I had to use some of those for this sketch!  This page is dedicated to the main reason for heading down to sunny California...the Disneyland Half Marathon!  This race was one of a kind and was SO.MUCH.FUN!   I hope to run another Disney race soon!

This page is pretty simple in the way of MDS supplies used.  Other than the firework bursts, the rest is just different fonts and photos...easy peasy!  I used a picture of the castle for my background, one of my favorite things to do on an MDS page!  The other photos were just dropped in to photo boxes and just like that, my page was done!

Be sure to head on over to check out the rest of the design teams creations.  Don't forget to join in the fun and play along too!  We love to see how we INKspire you to CREATE!

I {HEART} Summer

Happy Friday friends!  I don't even want to say it, but I think summer is just about done for us here...the days are getting shorter, the mornings are cooler and the days aren't quite as warm.  I dread this time every single year!  I love the long, hot summer days!  After our vacation in Florida this spring, I did all I could to try and convince my husband that we needed to move somewhere that was warm and sunny year round...but no luck.  I guess I'll just have to hold tight to all of our summer memories and look forward to next year!
And what better way to preserve our summer memories than MDS!  Yep, you guessed it...I've got another page to add to our family yearbook.  And this time, I'm playing along with the girls over at MDS Monday.  They have a fun sketch for this week!

We made quite a few trips to an area aquatic center this summer and had so much fun!  My twins faced their fear of the deep end and mastered the high dive and drop off slide...I was so proud of them!

Now I have this warm, sunny page to look back at this winter when it's cold and gray and I'm freezing cold :-)

Hope you all have a great weekend and get some stamping or MDS time in!

Happy Stamping!

Runnin' with Mickey and Friends ~ Monday Montage

Welcome to another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  We love to share our creations with you and thank you for joining us!

As you're reading this, I'm in the air making my way home from four amazingly awesome days in Disneyland with Wendy...it really is the happiest place on earth when I get to hang with her!  We walked our little feet off every day we were there and BRIGHT and early this morning we RAN our little feet off!  13.1 miles to be exact!  It was a little slow going with thousands of runners all around us...and HOT...but it was FUN!  We got separated at the Anaheim Angels stadium, so we didn't get to cross the finish line together, but we were close!  So, of course I had to do an MDS page for all of our fun today!

I will update a bit later with all of my MDS supplies I used :-)

Next up is Cathy...I love her style!  Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to Amy...she inspires me each and every hop!

Thanks for hopping along with us today!

Happy Stamping!
