Birthday Blessings

Good Afternoon!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenges at; Stamp TV, What's Black And White And Gold (just a touch of gold), Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes and Stamping Sensations, Anything With Flowers.

I used several stamp sets by Gina K Designs, Botanicals, Birthday Blessings and Folk Filigree all stamped in Raven Black ink.  My dies are by MFT; Cross Stitched Rectangles and Blueprints # 12.  I have also used a few butterflies from the Memory Box die set, Butterfly Exhibit.  3 small ones layered together and a larger one on the inside.

Designer Paper from my stash.  Gold Foiled Textured Paper.  Button and Twine.  Mini Adhesive Pearl.  My sentiment was stamped on a Vellum Strip in Raven Black ink, coated in Clear Embossing Powder and heated.  You know me and my smudging abilities lol

The black panel has been backed with Fun Foam to make the base nice and sturdy and to give it some oomph!  The flag banner cuts are only adhered at the top letting them curl up a bit at the bottom, which adds a bit more dimension.

Happy 4th Of July to you all.  Time to get the BBQ going!

Enjoy~~

Just Ride

Good Morning!

My card today will be entered into the Challenges at; Simon Says Monday, The Great Outdoors (because it's not a stationary bike lol) and Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes!

MFT Party Banner and PTI Shakers And Sprinkles dies.  Vellum strip with Copper Embossing Powder.  Sakura Clear Glitter Pen.

This card is for our retiring Minister, he looooooves to bike ride and travels everywhere.

Thanks for riding by.

Flower Note Cards

Good afternoon!  Blog Candy below.....part 3.

A little set of floral note cards to share with you today.  I will enter them into the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, April Showers Bring May Flowers.

I had some 'leftover' impatient flowers I created from some SVG cuts so I thought they would be perfect on a few little note cards.  They measure 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches.

MFT Cross Stitch Rectangles.  I sponged Peeled Paint Distress ink over the left portions of the die cut, then using a water brush I dropped water on it to lift some color off.  Then taking ink in a coordinating color I dropped spots of that all over; Crushed Curry, Perfect Plum and Pink Pirouette.  Sentiments from Gina K Design sets, All Occasion Tags and Botanicals stamped in Black Licorice ink.  Liquid Pearls for flower centers in; Buttercup, Flamingo and Lavender Lace.

Simple little Note Cards.

CAS Butterfly

Good Morning!

Quick post.  This simple little card will be entered into the Challenge at the Mod Squad, Butterfly Focal.

Using a Spellbinders Classic Circle die,  I made a mask and stamped the 'wordy' stamp from Gina K Designs, Botanicals stamp set into the circle.  The sentiment is from her One In A Million set. The butterfly is an EK Success 3 part punch.  I used purple and glitter card stocks and Vellum for the layers.  Added a trail of rhinestones and a larger one to top off the butterfly.

This card is already winging it's way west!

Thanks for coming by.

One Layer Collage

Good Afternoon!

The sun is shining, the winds are howling, man is it cold out, still feels like winter.  I know the calendar predicts Spring will arrive tomorrow, but I fear it may not.  *sigh*  Oh well, one day at a time!

I made this card for the Challenges at Stamp TV, One Layer Collage, (hosted by my dear friend, Karen Hightower) and at Simon Says Monday, Lions And Lambs, to use a 'critter' on your project.

I think Karen said she used 13 different stamp sets on her card, egads....I have only used 9....only!  lol

At first I felt intimidated by this Challenge, but once I started stamping I felt more at ease.  Although I definitely stamped in a more organized fashion, a more structured collage, more orderly and balanced.  I don't know if this is what Karen intended us to do, but this is how I did it.  hahaha  Not so carefree after all.  Who knew?  The only accents are the itty bitty brads from Stampin' Up! in green and blue.

I used the following Gina K Designs stamp sets;  Botanicals, Elegant Elements, Labeled With Love, Lots Of Washi, Signs Of Spring, Springtime Silhouettes, Stamper's Favorites and Stipple Nature, Tropical Flowers.

Distress Inks in;  Antique Linen, Broken China, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Weathered Wood and Wild Honey.

Next time I think I will stamp in a more willy nilly fashion.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Miss You

Good Morning!  Just put down my shovel long enough to write a Post!

I made this card for the Mod Squad Blog, Make Your Own Background.

I had a ton of fun creating this card.  I scoured the web for inspiration and found this tutorial complete with video by Shari Carroll over at The Hero Arts Blog.  Sooooo pretty!

Using water color paper I stamped the wordy stamp from Botanicals, by Gina K Designs, using Versa Mark and white embossing powder.  Using the acrylic block I dabbed distress inks in Antique Linen, Wild Honey and Peeled Paint and spritzed with Glimmer Mist in Stone, then stamped the block directly on to the water color paper.  Inking up the leaves from the Signs Of Spring set, in Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade and Broken China I stamped that in several places.  I also stamped the flower stamps a few times from Botanicals on the left side.  Hand cut a tag, stamped with leaves, and the sentiment, tied on with some thin Jute twine and topped with a small green enamel brad.  3 small yellow enamel brads on lower right.  The leaves were cut using a Sizzix die and then I 'painted' on a bit of Perfect Pearls in gold to add a sparkle.

This. Was. Super. Fun.

Follow along the video and you'll find it easy AND fun too!

Appreciate you coming by, hope you are getting your craft on!

Enjoy~~

Just A Little Distress

Hello Again!

Today I have just a little something to show you.  It's just a little note card.  With just a little color blocking and just a little distressing.

This will be entered into the MIUM Challenge at Stamp TV, color blocking  and the Simon Says Monday Challenge, add a little distressing.

Using Stazon Inks in pumpkin, blazing red, and teal blue, I just smooshed the ink pad right on to the card stock and trimmed it down when all was dry.  The base measures 4.25 x 3.5 inches.  I layered the inked piece to a piece of Pure Luxury, Turquoise  Sea, by Gina K Designs.  I distressed the edges of the card stock to add just a bit of texture.  The image is from her Botanicals set and the sentiment is from, A Little Something.  One designer brad and this is complete.

Simple.  Sweet.  Complete.

Enjoy~~

Smooooooooooooooooch!

There's a great little Challenge going on over at Stamp TV,..........kissing!  Thought that would get your attention!  :)  Oh don't worry about Flu season, it's just a fabulous little technique.  They have even included one of Gina's great videos to show you exactly how....well, how to kiss!  Oh that Gal, is VERY talented!  lol

Here's my entry for the Challenge:

Using a flower and leaf stamp from GK DesignsStipple Nature set, I kissed them with the 'wordy' stamp from her Botanicals set.  I love the detail of the words on the flowers and leaves.  Seems best to use a solid stamp with light ink, as the kissee and a darker ink on the stamp that actually does the kissing.  Oh who said stamping can't be FUN?!?!   The sentiment, With Sympathy, which you can barely see is also from GKD, Nature's Greetings.  I love the font on this stamp, traced over it with a Sakura Clear Star pen.   Added a few buttons and colored adhesive pearls and a piece of plain ribbon to finish off this sympathy card--I find these are very difficult to make, yet a necessity!

Thanks for stopping by.

Now go get inky!
