Big Hugs

Good Afternoon!

I have a card to share with you that will be entered into the Challenge at Cheery Lynn, Doilies.

I saw This Card on Pinterest and I was inspired......I may have to rename this, Everything But The Kitchen Sink.....there is A LOT going on here!  lol

I started stamping the leaves from a Stipple Nature set by Gina K Designs and then added a few random dots from her Pretty Patterns 2 set.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy and Soft Sky.  I also added some sponging to the focal panel, die cut leaves and cropped flowers in Antique Linen and Wild Honey.

Paper Smooches Foliage 1 dies in chipboard and card stock.  Cherry Lynn Wheat Heads, Poppy Stamps Dogwood Corner Blossom, Simon Says Scripty Big Hugs, and Dies R Us Butterfly Set # 2.   Half a doily sponged with Antique Linen.  Ribbon fiber, Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I was going to add even more rhinestones to the layered flowers in the bottom right hand corner, but that just seemed to be too much to me hahaha.

Fun card to make....hope it is equally fun to receive!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Hello

Nope, not Adele, just me!

This card will be entered into the Challenges at Stamp TV, Picture Perfect and Scrapy Land, Anything Goes!

Photo Inspiration from Cathy.

I used several Gina K Designs stamp sets; Lean On Me, Spring Blessings, Stipple Nature and Tropical Flower.  It is quite fun creating your own background.  If you haven't done it in awhile you should give it another try!  Just stamp willy nilly!  :) Card stock Pure Luxury White and Blue Raspberry.

Inks in; Antique Linen, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo, Perfect Plum and Timber Brown.  I layered Hello die cuts, by Die-Versions, in Black and Blue Raspberry card stock, off center just a tad so it would be readable.  Crystal Drops in Ebony.  And yes, I could have added a typewriter, but chose not too.  lol

Thanks for coming by....hello and goodbye!

Enjoy~~

Welcome Home Bird Tag

Hello, hope the week is treating you well!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, You Have Me In Stitches.  Hosted by the one, the only Leslie Turner.

I pulled out an older Gina K Designs stamp set, Home Tweet Home.  I was horrified when I realized I am missing the sentiment stamp that actually says Home Tweet Home  :(  Bummer!

I stamped several leaves from the GKD set, Stipple Nature in Antique Linen and Always Artichoke.

MFT has this great die set, Stitched Traditional Tags, perfect for this Challenge and that stamp image!  Who doesn't love a tag.....on a card?!?!  lol

Images colored with Copic Markers.  Eyelet, Baker's Twine and Enamel Brads for added interest.

This little gem will be winging it's way to Pennsylvania.

For those of you who showed some interest in yesterday's Joy Fold Card here is a wonderful Video by Beate!

Thanks so much for dropping in.  Now run on over to Stamp TV  and get your craft on!

Enjoy~~

One Layer Collage

Good Afternoon!

The sun is shining, the winds are howling, man is it cold out, still feels like winter.  I know the calendar predicts Spring will arrive tomorrow, but I fear it may not.  *sigh*  Oh well, one day at a time!

I made this card for the Challenges at Stamp TV, One Layer Collage, (hosted by my dear friend, Karen Hightower) and at Simon Says Monday, Lions And Lambs, to use a 'critter' on your project.

I think Karen said she used 13 different stamp sets on her card, egads....I have only used 9....only!  lol

At first I felt intimidated by this Challenge, but once I started stamping I felt more at ease.  Although I definitely stamped in a more organized fashion, a more structured collage, more orderly and balanced.  I don't know if this is what Karen intended us to do, but this is how I did it.  hahaha  Not so carefree after all.  Who knew?  The only accents are the itty bitty brads from Stampin' Up! in green and blue.

I used the following Gina K Designs stamp sets;  Botanicals, Elegant Elements, Labeled With Love, Lots Of Washi, Signs Of Spring, Springtime Silhouettes, Stamper's Favorites and Stipple Nature, Tropical Flowers.

Distress Inks in;  Antique Linen, Broken China, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Weathered Wood and Wild Honey.

Next time I think I will stamp in a more willy nilly fashion.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy~~

Smooooooooooooooooch!

There's a great little Challenge going on over at Stamp TV,..........kissing!  Thought that would get your attention!  :)  Oh don't worry about Flu season, it's just a fabulous little technique.  They have even included one of Gina's great videos to show you exactly how....well, how to kiss!  Oh that Gal, is VERY talented!  lol

Here's my entry for the Challenge:

Using a flower and leaf stamp from GK DesignsStipple Nature set, I kissed them with the 'wordy' stamp from her Botanicals set.  I love the detail of the words on the flowers and leaves.  Seems best to use a solid stamp with light ink, as the kissee and a darker ink on the stamp that actually does the kissing.  Oh who said stamping can't be FUN?!?!   The sentiment, With Sympathy, which you can barely see is also from GKD, Nature's Greetings.  I love the font on this stamp, traced over it with a Sakura Clear Star pen.   Added a few buttons and colored adhesive pearls and a piece of plain ribbon to finish off this sympathy card--I find these are very difficult to make, yet a necessity!

Thanks for stopping by.

Now go get inky!
