Butterflies And Poppies

Back again on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

On today's card I will show you how easy it is to add just a wee bit of foiling to your card.  You don't need to have a Toner Printer, or even a laminator, just look for products that incorporate it already.  It's easy........

I started with Foiled Paper! See?  Wasn't that easy?!?!
Our Dies R Us Store makes it even easier by carrying some beautiful Foiled Paper
in beautiful Prints and Designs.
Here's a couple by My Mind's Eye and 2 beauties by Pink Paislee.  SO EASY!!!
The Dies R Us Store also carries many brands of other beautiful Paper Pads.

I also added foiling to my card using my Mini Minc and Foiled Toner Sheets.  I die cut my Memory Box Row of Poppies from Hot Pink Foiled Sheets, which I cropped a bit.  These pretty poppies were then adhered to a layered Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Rectangles, which were backed with Fun Foam to add dimension.

I used Spellbinders Standard and Scallop Circle dies to stamp my sweet little butterfly on.  Image By Gina K Designs, Birds And Blossoms,
stamped with Raven Black ink and colored with Copic Markers.
Hidden beneath that is a small Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Banners
with Rhinestone accent.
I layered the Dies R Us Butterfly #2 Set and added another Rhinestone accent,  this particular set is no longer available, although we have many, many beautiful Butterfly Dies to choose from.

Pop Dot.
Fun Foam.
WOS.
Pink Ribbon.

Love the Foiled Accents and all of that dimension!

This card will be entered into the following Challenges:

Scrapy Land, Anything Goes

Here's what I used:

Thanks for popping in!

Big Hugs

Good Afternoon!

I have a card to share with you that will be entered into the Challenge at Cheery Lynn, Doilies.

I saw This Card on Pinterest and I was inspired......I may have to rename this, Everything But The Kitchen Sink.....there is A LOT going on here!  lol

I started stamping the leaves from a Stipple Nature set by Gina K Designs and then added a few random dots from her Pretty Patterns 2 set.  Inks in Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy and Soft Sky.  I also added some sponging to the focal panel, die cut leaves and cropped flowers in Antique Linen and Wild Honey.

Paper Smooches Foliage 1 dies in chipboard and card stock.  Cherry Lynn Wheat Heads, Poppy Stamps Dogwood Corner Blossom, Simon Says Scripty Big Hugs, and Dies R Us Butterfly Set # 2.   Half a doily sponged with Antique Linen.  Ribbon fiber, Jute Twine and Adhesive Rhinestones.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  I was going to add even more rhinestones to the layered flowers in the bottom right hand corner, but that just seemed to be too much to me hahaha.

Fun card to make....hope it is equally fun to receive!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy~~

Layered Butterfly

Good Monday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog again, to share another butterfly card with you.

I die cut the Small Lace Butterfly With Angel Wing die, by Cheery Lynn out of Core'dinations Glamorous Glitter Paper.  Man, is this butterfly gorgeous.....and it is anything but small.  It measures 2  3/8 x 3  3/4.  BIG.  BOLD.  BEAUTIFUL.  The lacy details are remarkable!  I also used the Angel Wing die.  This thing is so clever!  It's really only 'half' a die.  Which cuts down on your cost, what's not to love about that!!!

You just fold your card stock in half and line the end of the die up to the fold line, cut and wha la, a beautiful full sized die cut butterfly to back on to your beautiful full sized lacy butterfly die cut.  CLEVER!!!

After layering my lacy butterfly cuts I thought it would be interesting to cut another, totally different shaped butterfly from some Designer Paper, and layer that on top!  I cut one butterfly from the Butterfly Set #2 by our very own product line, Dies R Us Dies, from a very thick card stock that I have in my stash and then Designer Paper, adhering the 2.  This made a nice sturdy chipboard-like accent.  What do you think?  Kind of different, kind of interesting?  Kind of?

Texture added to my Blue Raspberry card stock using a Darice Lace Doily Embossing Folder.  I also added an actual doily to place my butterfly centerpiece on.  Beneath the doily I die cut a Spellbinders Standard Circle out of Fun Foam.  This gives the card a bit more dimension and makes for a nice sturdy resting spot for my butterfly.  I decorated all around with the Dogwood Blossom Corner die by Poppy Stamps, cutting several and snipping apart, placing them where I needed them.

Lastly I added lot of adhesive pearls in different sizes, including one as a flourish, to show the flight of my butterfly.  A strip of Designer paper on the inside to finish the card off.  I very rarely add an inside sentiment, preferring to write a heartfelt note.

Butterflies

Good Monday Morning!

On the Dies R Us Blog today to show you a quick and easy card using only ONE die set.
When buying dies I always look for the biggest bang for my buck!  And this fantastic set from our very own product line, Dies R Us Dies, fits the bill!

Only using the Butterfly Set #2  I was able to create this pretty little card!

The set contains 5 different butterfly dies.....FIVE!!!  Now that's A LOT of bang for my buck!  I die cut 4 of the different butterflies in 4 different black and white Designer Papers.  In white card stock, the base panel, I cut the same butterfly dies (saving for a future project).  I layered the white over a pretty pink card stock, which I sent through a Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.  This just adds a bit more interest and texture.  Then I lined up my pretty Designer Paper butterflies accordingly, to match up to the pink silhouettes.

My sentiment from Gina K Designs, Master Butterfly, was stamped in Black Licorice Hybrid ink on to a Vellum strip, which has been layered twice, so you can actually read it, but allows you to still see the pretty butterflies beneath.  The inside bottom left corner is an inlaid pink butterfly die cut.  This just finishes off the card nicely while still leaving plenty of room for a handwritten note.  4 pink Sequins as accents.

Cute.

Simple.

Easy.

I will also be entering this card in the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Animal Magic.

Here's the one and only die set I used!

Hydrangea Keepsake Box

Good Sunday Morning!

Back on the Dies R Us Blog with another little project I would like to share with you.

I found this sweet little paper box at my local craft store for a $1.  Nice!!!

And now time for the transformation!

I first painted the box in lavender craft paint, then covered the bottom portion with some Designer Paper.  Cutting the Hydrangea set from Impression Obsession out of water color paper, I water colored the pretty little petals, stem and leaves.  Gluing my stem and leaves first, then the larger petals, topping with the smaller ones, filling in any gaps as I went.  I also added a bit of Wink Of Stella Clear Pen for sparkle.

Die cutting the Picket Fence by Amy Design several times I was able to line it up perfectly around the box using the posts as guides.  Adding leaves from  Foliage 1 by Paper Smooches I created my green vines.  Of course I had to add some beautiful butterflies, what garden isn't complete without them?  Butterfly Set #2  from our very own product line Dies R Us were the perfect topping!  I cut one shape from purple card stock and another shape from Vellum, layering the two.

I topped my Hydrangea Petals with Liquid Pearls in Buttercup Yellow.  My Butterflies are topped in Crystal Drops in Wisteria.  Iridescent Sequins 'randomly' placed on top and sides of decorated box.

White Picket Fence, Hydrangeas and pretty Butterflies......what more do you need for a Cape Cod Garden?

Here's what I used:

Wooden Celebration Tote

Good Monday Morning!

Back again, on the Dies R Us Blog!  This time I would like to share a little project with you.

I found this sweet little wooden tote at my local craft store for $1.  I knew with a little Designer Paper and some wonderful dies from the Dies R Us Store I could transform it into something fabulous.  I think I was right!

First I painted it all white and covered it in pretty pink and white Designer Paper, wrapped a pink pleated ribbon around the top and added white sparkling glitter to the handle......and then the FUN began.  I sorted out a bunch of dies I wanted to use and started cutting.

I started with this sweet little Picket Fence by Amy Design and moved right on to the Curly Words Celebrate by Die-Versions.  Let me just tell you how impressed I am with this wordy die.  It's fancy and delicate and perfect for....well for ANY celebration!  Here I layered a pink and white cut together so it would POP and add a bit of dimension.

Next came some beautiful flowers....now I know what you're thinking....aren't those Poinsettias???  Well yes, yes they are....BUT aren't they gorgeous???  This is the Small Poinsettia Set die from Impression Obsession.  I ADORE it and think it looks just lovely as 'an everyday flower'.  Plus this is for my 86 year old Mother......she'll love it.....wink, wink!  I die cut several out of a deep pink and light pink card stock and some beautiful Vellum.  Layered them together by size, not alternating from large to smallest.  Then I added some pearls for their centers.

Next up came some of my beautiful foliage.  In the 1st photo you will see the fantastic Ivy Corner Flourish by Cheery Lynn.  I also used the Foliage 1 die from Paper Smooches.

And for my final selection, I created a beautiful butterfly.  Butterfly #2 Set from our very own line Dies R Us Dies.  This set is awesome as it has five....that's FIVE different butterflies included.  I layered 3 different ones together in the deep pink and light pink card stock and topped with a Vellum one.  WOW!

A perfect little garden tote.  I'm not sure what I will put in it as yet, probably something chocolatey.

I will be entering this into the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Flowers.
