All of our boys have enjoyed music from a very young age. Alex, however, is our dancer. Everytime he hears music--whether it's the ringtones on our cells, Rich jammin' on the guitar, or singing at church--he starts to move his little body. We captured it on video for your viewing enjoyment.

Spread the word!
My sister and I are hosting a silent auction at our blog Serving Pink Lemonade starting tomorrow, April 27th, and it runs through the 29th. 100% of the proceeds will go straight to sweet little Daylon to help pay for his medical treatment. Daylon is the son of our dear friend, and they need our help.
You can help by spreading the word about our auction. Feel free to make a post on your blog or your facebook page along with a link to Serving Pink Lemonade to help share about this wonderful opportunity to help make a miracle happen.
(Daylon was in the local paper as well.)

It's a beautiful day!
Today at church I taught the Laurels (the 16-18 year old young women) about temple marriage. As I was preparing my lesson I thought about which pictures of the temple to bring. And then it hit me... why would I bring pictures of the temple when the real thing is right outside our door! One of the best things about living where we do is having such great access to the temple. Luckily the weather cooperated and we had a wonderful lesson on the importance of temple marriage while sitting on the temple lawn.
When we got home I decided that it was just too beautiful outside so the boys and I ate some lunch out in the back.
We've been able to do so many fun things this week. On Thursday I chaperoned a field trip to see Stephen Fite (a children's singer/songwriter). All week William has been talking about the concert he gets to go to... and how he gets to bring lunch to school... and ride the school bus. We both had a blast. I was surprised at how into the songs he got... I wish I'd been able to capture it in a photo!
Friday evening we picked up Rich's dad and sister, Lisa, and headed to the Arts Fest downtown. We met up with Catie and Tim once we got there.
We ate dinner, walked around, and listened to the music... but the best part was watching James roll down the hills. Even other people would stop to watch James and chuckle.
I am just loving the beautiful spring weather. I know it won't last as long as I'd like... so I've got to enjoy it while I can!

For Family Night on Monday we had a lesson about the Book of Mormon. William and James each got their own copy. William loves to mark "special scriptures" in his copy. As we finished up dinner on Tuesday night I went looking for James. It's pretty normal for him to wander off before he's done eating. This is how I found him:
Maybe we are doing something right.

sometimes it's just too quiet
Alex loves Cheerios so much that when we're eating I keep the box on the floor next to me. This way I can reach down, grab a handful to put on his tray, and he is happy while we eat. When we're done eating I put the box away. Except yesterday. I forgot.
The boys were playing happily together so I hopped on the computer. Alexander wandered out of the playroom and was so quiet that I asked William to go check on him. He reported back, "Oh he's in the kitchen." "But still," I thought, "he's really quiet." When I went to check on him I found this:
The whole box of Cheerios all over the floor... and Alex was oh so happy. Silly, silly Cheerio fiend.

Easter Weekend
We were lucky to wind up with a four-day Easter/Conference weekend. What can get better than that?! We started it off on Thursday with an Egg Hunt with our friends.
(James, William, Beckham, Chandler, Noah)
Then on Friday we spent most of the day at the Oklahoma City Zoo. It was the perfect day for the zoo... beautiful weather, minimum crowds, and the new Children's Zoo was open! The boys had a blast! William even worked up the courage to feed some goats and go in to see the larakeets.
The rest of the weekend was spent coloring eggs, searching for our baskets, and watching General Conference (wasn't it wonderful!?).
And because I don't have any pictures of Alex enjoying the festivities... here are a few to enjoy. Because he's just so darn cute.
