 Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a couple birthday cards to share using a stamp set from PaperTrey Ink called Vase Collection 15.  There are several 2 step flowers and leaves and a container plus some sentiments in the stamp set.

I made a couple cards with this set stamping the flowers with Lovely Lady and Autumn Rose inks, leaves with Prairie Grass and Ripe Avocado. The container was stamped in Soft Stone or Aqua Mist and Smokey Shadow.  The patterned papers are from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss.

This is the second card I created with paper scraps.

Happy Saturday,

Today, I have a birthday card to share using a stamp set from My Favorite Things called "Freshly Picked Bouquet".  Pretty flowers, great for coloring with Copic Markers.  I took the colors from striped patterned paper I had in my stash, a paper pack from Three Bugs in a Rug called "Ellie".

I stamped the image with Memento Black ink on a 4.25 x 5.5" piece of white card stock.  Then I cut a 2.75" wide strip, cutting around the petals on the right side. The base card is PTI Hawaiian Shores.

Spellbinders Especially For You - Birthday

Happy Saturday!

Today I made another card using the glimmer Hot Foil set from Spellbinders - Especially For You. This set is a combination of hot foil plates and dies.  I used gold foil for the "For You" plate then used the flower and foliage dies in the set to add some color.

This time I made it a birthday card in several different colors.  Above used PTI Raspberry Fizz.  Below PTI Hawaiian Shores.

The last one uses PTI Sweet Blush for the base card and flowers aand the foliage is PTI Spring Moss. Hot foiled the flowers and die cut them.  I also added a background from Spellbinders called Diamonetta and fashion gold embellishments .

A Day For Daisies - Flowers in Bottles

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a card using a digital image from A Day For Daisies - Flowers in Bottles.   I hadn't used a digital image in awhile so I printed several different images and started coloring while watching TV.  I should do that more often it was very productive.

A Day For Daisies was one of my favorite digi shops, they closed a few years ago and it doesn't seem like they ever reopened.  You can find images on pinterest and the blog is still up. They gave a lot of free images if you went to their blog and joined their challenges.

To use a digital image, I use Word to size the image and get multiples on the page.  Then print.  I have a laser printer, which works best.  The ink is heat set so you don't have to worry about ink smearing when coloring.   I use X-Press it cardstock in the printer for these images to color with Copic markers.

Close Up:

Cardstock: PaperTrey Ink Aqua Mist & Smokey Shadow
Patterned Papers: Pebbles Seen & Noted
Copic Colors: BG000, BG10, R21, R22, R24
YG23, YG25; Y32, Y35, Y38

Simon Says Stamp - Even More Spring Flowers Birthday

Happy Saturday!

Today, I have a birthday card I created for my niece who turned 25 this month.  I used a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp! - "Even more Spring Flowers" for her card this year. The sentiment is PaperTrey Ink "Signature Greetings II", retired set.

In November some friends came and we stamped and colored all weekend.  They wanted to learn how to color with copic markers so these flowers were used as practice images.  We stamped several of each image on a sheet of X-press It cardstock and used the Brother Scan N Cut to cut them all out.

Close Up:

Copic Colors: RV21, RV23, RV25, G21, G24, G28, YR21, YR23
Cardstock: PTI Berry Sorbet, PTI Green Parakeet,
PTI Pale Peony patterned paper

Waffle Flower - Tender Blooms

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Today, I have a card to share using a set I saw on Facebook and
fell in love with.  The post did not say what stamp set was used
for the card post.  Luckily in the comments, someone had found the
set by Waffle Flower - Tender Blooms.

The image shown is about 3/4 the size of the full image.
This card is an A2 card (4.25 x 5.5").  It is a large stamp.

Close Up:

I stamped the image with my We R Memories - Precision Press (original).
A hinged gadget like this is so handy with a large image. If part of the
stamp image is light or doesn't stamp, just reink and go
over the stamped image again.

Colored with Copic Markers...
Colors: B60 and 63
E31 and 35
RV 11 and 14
V12 and 17
Y32, 35 and 38
YG91, 93 and 95

Added some water drop gems, from Taylored Expressions.

Altenew Dotted Blooms

Happy Saturday,

Today, I have an encouragement card to share.  Mark's mom had some surgery last month and his sister's family are in the process of relocating.  New job, new house, preparing the old one for sale - lots to do which is exciting, exhausting and stressful.

So, I was making a birthday card the other weekend and decided making some cards to send his mom and sister our prayers would be a good thing during this chaotic time.  I used a new set I got from Simon Says Stamp! made by Altenew - Dotted Blooms

Card #2:

Cardstock, inks and papers are all PaperTrey Ink.  Card 1 is Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet and Kraft.  Card 2 is Aqua Mist and Kraft.  Added some stitching with my sewing machine and a shear ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by...
Blessings to you,

Red Rubber Designs: Be Happiness

Today, I have a some scrapbook embellishments to show using stamps and punches.  I saw this double punch technique with a scalloped punch on Pinterest and decided to try it with some flower punches.  It is a really clever technique to get more shapes out of one punch.  Gotta love that!
I used the 2 six petal flower punches (1-1/4" and 1-3/4"
 I punched the 2 flowers.
Then created a handle with some cardstock scraps,
so I could hold the flower in the punch.
Then, I rotated the flower so the petal would be divided
in half and punched a second time.
Now I have 2 twelve petal flowers.
I punched a 5/8" hole in the the center of the smaller flower.
Then, layered the smaller flower on the larger with pop dots and added a button in the center.  {I think it looks a lot like a straw flower or daffodil}
Next to create the pocket, I used a coin envelope and cut the top so it was open.  I added some Kaleidoscope Brites cardstock to the pocket.
I added a finger grab for the card that slides in the pocket
The pull out card is 2-1/8 x 4" and I rounded the corners
using the Corner Chomper.
I added the flower to the card with a pop dot
and some Mia's Cottage ribbon to the pocket.
Using Black Palette ink, I stamped
a sentiment from "Be Happiness" on the card.
  Here is the finished page.
With the card out of the pocket.
