Lanthanide

The lanthanides are a group of chemical elements on the periodic table. They are metals. The lanthanides are found between the alkaline earth metals and the transition metals. The lanthanides are all moderately reactive. Many of them corrode easily. Most of them form compounds in the +3 oxidation state. They are all very similar to each other and difficult to separate. They are all shiny silver, like most metals.
