Hey Kid! - Treehouse Adventure

Good morning, friends!  Friday is here and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's exhausted at the end of this week!  School is back in session and we are getting back to a routine around our house.

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for our son's first day of school.  His dad and I each wrote a note in it and I stuck it in his lunchbox - when I picked him up after school, the first thing he said was "I loved the letter you guys gave me!"  He also told me about six times that night how he wishes he had a treehouse just like this one - don't we all?!  



This adorable card is straight out of the catalogue, and with the help of some fantastic layered stamps, comes together in a flash with a lot of fun.  I loved designing this little treehouse and choosing all of the colours for the card - it's interior design meets stamping!

The Greatest - Calls for a Celebration

Hey friends!

One of the things that was really cool about being on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team was that we were periodically asked for feedback on Stampin' Up! products and ideas that were in progress.  As a few years have passed since the start of my first year on the ADT, I've seen some of these products come to fruition - it's super cool to see things available for purchase that we had some input in!

This sentiment was one of them - a few of us practically begged to see a bold, graphic stamp with this adorable sentiment on it.  "You're pretty much the greatest of all time in the history of ever."  It's something I tell my kiddo quite often, and it gives me the warm fuzzies.  I'm so happy to finally have it in a stamp!  



I wanted to let the sentiment shine on this card, so I opted for grey and white with a few simple pops of colour.  This unexpected colour combination - Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, and Balmy Blue - happened by accident with some scraps of paper on my desk, and I love the look of it!

Blank and Beautiful - Sea of Textures

Hello friends!  Just a quick pop-in on this lovely Saturday morning before I hit the ground running - lots of stuff on my plate today! 

Today's card is another blank beauty.  I'm finding more and more lately that I like creating blank cards, either to fill with my own handwritten wishes or to stamp a sentiment inside when the time comes - that way, they're fit for any occasion! 


The Sea of Textures suite is perfect for blank cards - beautiful stamped images, intricate dies, and gorgeous textured papers.  It's so lovely and fit for any recipient!

You're The Best - P.S.

Hi friends!  I'm finally peeking out from this fog of smoke and heat that's been torturing Calgary for the last few days.  It's so unpleasant that all I want to do is hang out in my bedroom with the air conditioner on full blast!  How are you surviving the summer this year?

I haven't had much time to craft this week, but I've got a great card that's been waiting in the wings for you.  I'm so happy to have DSP of basic patterns in all of the colours, PLUS a new typewriter stamp in the "PS You're The Best" set.  Eek!  Plus, this card is packed full of fresh colours, isn't it?!  



Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo have been perked up with the addition of Pineapple Punch, which is officially my new favourite yellow.  I'm putting it on everything, including this month's Project Pack online class!  You won't want to miss it... check it out!
