Holiday meets Annual!

I'm still carrying on the theme this week!

You might remember this fabulous colour combo...


And some tips on transitioning your Holiday 2015 products into non-holiday creations!  Today I have this sweet and simple card. 


There's just a teeny tiny little bit of holiday product on here, and it's that fantastic black glimmer paper.  A little bit of black sparkle doesn't have to be halloween; it can be used to add a bit of bling, a bit of drama, or a bit of class to your projects!

Triple-Up Thursday: Sheltering Tree

Welcome back for another Triple-Up Thursday!  First time here?  Triple-Up Thursday is a weekly feature where I show you three 3x3" cards created with one stamp set and five colours - proof crafting doesn't have to be complicated to be beautiful! 

This week is possibly one of my favourites to-date.  This is the first time that I've used Sheltering Tree, and it is a total must-own.  My goodness - I've never felt so much like an artist than I did when creating with this set!  It's perfect for creating beautiful images and compositions that look like they were painted on canvas - without having to have any visual art talent at all.

My colour combination this week was chosen with colours I rarely use - based, oddly, around Rich Razzleberry!  This isn't a colour I use often so I wanted to work it in this week.  My go-to green is Old Olive and yellow is Crushed Curry, so I made sure to steer clear of those and spread the love around, too.  This is what I came up with:


It's different, but it works!  Check out my "art" below!





I really love how these ones turned out.  They're a personal favourite, for sure.  Sheltering Tree is a definite must-have set for beautiful, artistic cards - and with a whopping 14 different stamps, it's a great value, too.

Quick & Easy & Bright & Fun!

Here's a quick and easy burst of colour to share today - and yeah, two more of the fab new In-Colours, and the best and brightest of the bunch!  


Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush just POP on this cheery card, perfect to brighten the day of someone going through a rough patch.  And you can make it in five minutes.  I promise.

Tap Tap Thinking Of You!

It's a beautiful cool, grey, rainy day in Calgary - perfect for brewing up a giant pot of tea and spending the day crafting with my bestie!  We're going for the marathon today, once we both get our butts out of bed, showered, and do our blog posts.  So, hi!

Today's retiring feature is NOT "Tap Tap Tap!"  Don't panic!  This cute little card is entirely made with that stamp set, but it IS sticking around.  No need to worry.  I love that sweet typewriter and its adorable accompanying images.



What IS leaving, however, are three simple but important additions - the Spiral Border punch, Smoky Slate 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (on sale for half-price!), Crisp Cantaloup ink (also half-price!)  Three total must-haves.  I'm hoarding that ribbon, for sure, and I don't think my Spiral Border punch will be going anywhere - I love it for my "smash book" scrapbook and for Project Life! 

Since I've confessed my plans for today and my rush to get my work done so I can go play, there's no sense in blabbing more than I have to - off to create!  Have a fabulous day!

You're In My Thoughts

One thing I noticed almost right away when the retired list came out was that most of my beloved background stamps were going away.  I immediately scrolled town to the "H"s to make sure Hardwood wasn't on the list - and it wasn't!  Woo hoo!  So even though this is a retiring feature, and Hardwood is there, rest assured - it isn't going anywhere!
