Weekly Challenge #2 - Saturday

Weekly Challenge #2 Tuesday, January 15th thru January 21th.
Use Hearts or Love in your creation.

Hi! Kim here from Card-E-ology with a surprisingly easy card using a heart AND love! Let's take a look, shall we?

Supplies:
Stamps: At First Sight & Chirrup by A Muse Studio
Ink: Onyx & Pebble by A Muse Studio
Paper: Seattle & Sugar solid CS and Grapefruit Chevron CS by A Muse Studio
Accessories: Big Heart Die Set, Multi Mini Dots Twinkle Stickers, and Baker's Twine in Onyx/White by A Muse Studio

For this card, I used the large heart die and cut the heart out of the chevron cardstock, and attached the negative to the solid Seattle cardstock. Love is part of the Big Heart Die Set, too, so I cut that from white cardstock. On a white scrap, I stamped the bird cage from Chirrup and cut it out carefully. I tried using a thumb tack to pierce a large enough hole at the top of the bird cage, but it wasn't large enough for the Baker's Twine to pass through. I then chose a 1/16 hole punch and that did the trick! To add some dimension, the bird cage is popped forward with dimensional adhesive.

Weekly Challenge #2 - Thursday

Weekly Challenge #2 Tuesday, January 15th thru January 21th.
Use Hearts or Love in your creation.

Hi everyone, Doris here from Moms Been Scrappin and I'm so excited to share a project for this week's challenge here on Cuttin' and Stampin'! We may have just started the new year, but Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and I'm getting a head start on my cards.

This challenge is to use hearts or the word "love" in your projects.
I've been playing with some products from A Muse Studio and
here's a few cards made with them to give you some inspiration:

This may look complicated but was really easy to do! I used the big heart die to cut the shape in the front of my card base, then added a piece of plain white cardstock underneath; I added a light layer of adhesive then followed the outline of the heart shape and added some bakers cording until the shape was filled in. The sentiment was made by cutting two love die cuts and layering them, and just a little bling to finish it off.

Clean and simple is my go-to style for making most of my cards, and I usually start off by looking thru my scraps drawer. These pieces of cardstock from the A Muse cherry heartbreaker collections were perfect for a CAS card. I cut them each at 1" x 3" and used a square punch to make the banner shape at the end of each piece. A little piece of cherry and white bakers twine and a sentiment from the love me do stamp set and I was done!

Ok, your turn - I can't wait to see what you come up with!
