Hey Cutie a New DT for Me!

Hello peeps I'm back with my good news, I got a new job!!
I start a brand new 6 month stint on the fabulous Design Team at

TOTALLY PAPERCRAFTS

I'm excited can you tell?
I thought it was time for me to push the boat out
and make more than one card a week for a while lol, I hope I can keep up!!
I'm starting off with a super theme

Hey Cutie!

Here's my first official offering as a shiny new Totally PaperCrafts DT member!

I've had this little Mo Manning cutie coloured in and sat on my desk for so long she's virtually a teenager now! The fab Echo Park papers are fairly new even though I'm not supposed to be buying any more papers LOL and the thing I'm most pleased with, is the sentiment. I couldn't find the right one anywhere so I made my own on the PC and I'm chuffed to bits how it turned out. If I can work out how to do it, I'll happily email it to anyone who wants it. The flowers are my favorite things dies with brads in the centre.

We have a fabulous sponsor this week
Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details of the challenge, the fantastic prize on offer and lots of super cute inspiration from my new teammies.

That's it from me this week, 2 cards in consecutive days means I need a lie down!!
Thank you for stopping by and for all your lovely comments.
My recovery continues and I should be back fighting fit really soon.

Love 'n' Hugs Laurie xx

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges.....

Music Inspired @ MAWTT

Hello again, I'm back with my 'struggling to make' one card a week post! I don't know what's happening but my mojo is in slow motion lately. I'm missing a lot of things I'd like to be joining in with but I just don't have the motivation!
My daughter left to go to Japan yesterday, she is spending 6 months there. She really has wanderlust in her veins that one, you can't keep her here for love nor money. She has a job this time and she is going to be teaching children to ski, so I won't worry as much as I usually do when she goes off traveling on her own! Her twin brother (Joel) and his mate have booked to go and visit her in January and learn to snowboard. What exciting lives my kids lead! I wish I had had their opportunities!
She is already planning her next trip for this time next year!!

Don't forget to link up to my candy, I have a brand new Stampin' Up! scoreboard to give away to a new home, I plan on redistributing a lot of my unused stash in the coming months too!

I'm here today with a new challenge at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week my lovely friend Pam is hosting the theme

Music Inspired

I'm having a bit of a LOTV surge at the minute (for a change, I have lots of un-inked little lili stamps that I love and I'm determined to use) and I still have a zillion Christmas cards to make!!
Here's one more to add to the pile.

I'm quite chuffed how this turned out, even if it did take me an age to make it lol. I know there is only 3 of them but it makes me think of '9 Ladies Dancing' from the 12 Days of Christmas song. Also you can't keep me off the dance floor when Abba's Dancing Queen comes on!!The papers are last years Echo Park (I was also determined not to buy any Christmas paper this year) and the red ridged paper I found 3 rolls at the back of the cupboard that I'd had for years. I do love traditional Christmas colours don't you? The eagle eyed might have spotted my 'so wrapped' die cut tag again - I can't help using it I love it and my favourite Doo Hickey die snowflake.

Head over to the main challenge blog for all the details on the challenge, the prize that's up for grabs this week and some beautiful inspiration from my teammies.

Thank you all for stopping by and for all the lovely comments you leave me. I'm off to book myself a little holiday as it's suddenly got colder I'm craving a bit of winter sun then I'm heading to my Mums for a couple of days to get all her jobs and shopping done.

Have a lovely weekend

Inspired By a Song @ OBAG

Hello Blogland it's my favourite challenge today at
and I chose it LOL!

Inspired By A Song

Doncha just love it!! I do, it makes me laugh out loud when I check out everyone's posts! And boy oh boy is it good to have some laughter in your life! and singing, not that I can sing lol I'm tone deaf!

I went to the Theatre at Leicester the other day with some friends and I took my mum for her birthday. We went to see 'Hot Stuff' it was all 70's music and everyone, and I mean everyone, was singing and dancing all the way through it! If it comes to a town near you go and see it, it was a real trip down memory lane and non stop laughs!

Here is my little offering, I'm showing my age with my song choice!!
My dad was always singing Dean Martin songs when I was growing up, and my mum's a Frank Sinatra fan so I love a bit of 'Rat Pack'

Inspired by Dean Martin's
'Little Old Wine Drinker Me'
I'd made this card ages ago when I got the sponsor mixed up (I thought it was Bugaboo) and it isn't!! We have a super sponsor

and some super inspiration to get you singing lol

Hello again lovely Peeps, I've been having a little break to try and sort myself out after our Summer Season but the weather has been so nice I've still been working! At least I've had time for a blog over - just not sure yet if I like it!!!

Anyway I'm back today with a brand new challenge at

and this week the lovely Claire is in command and she would like you to

Show Us Your Ribbons

Ribbon is something I have in abundance!!
That doesn't stop me buying more though LOL
This is one of the cards I've been making for my Mum and a friend who have both been asking me to make for them for ages, I just couldn't find any time until now.
The image you don't really need me to tell you is 'Blanche' from the fabulous Krista Smith at Saturated Canary (My lovely friend Debs gave me a voucher for my birthday and I'm addicted) coloured with Copics and pencils, the paper is Echo Park 'For The Record 2' 6x6 pad, the sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a Die Namics label die and the chipboard alphabet has been painted to match. All the flowers are from WOC and in keeping with the challenge rules, my ribbon has been in my drawer for years! Its Tilda ribbon from Panduro.

Friends @ Oldie But A Goodie

Hello folks - I'm struggling a bit here with trying to keep up to date with my DT cards while working 7 days a week and all my good work of getting ahead has been caught up!
Just got this one done by the skin of my teeth!
It's time for a new challenge at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

and this week the lovely Tracy has decided we should celebrate our

Friends

You can never have too many! I hope mine haven't forgotten me in my absence.

This cute little image is actually a fairly new purchase but my paper is really old so I still qualify! Lulu and her little sister are from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps and I adore them!! The papers are the last few sheets from my Echo Park Be Mine pad but don't fear I bought a spare pad when I cut into the first few sheets! lol
The sentiment is a mixture of rub ons which also have been knocking around my craft room for a while (read years), the ribbon does actually match a lot more in real life - not sure what happened in this photo. I coloured with Copics and flowers are from WOC.

Head over to the main challenge blog for some great inspiration from the Goodie Girls and all the details of this challenge sponsored by
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

Summer Holidays @ OBAG

Hello folks its me again here with a brand new challenge this week at

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE

before I go into that though what a fab challenge we had last time, check out the blog for the winners post. This week the idiots are running the asylum and I'm in charge lol and I chose

Summer Holidays

Well that's pushing it a bit - summer holiday! I'd have been better choosing 'In the Bleak Midwinter'! I mean is the weather not bad enough to depress the whole nation without that pathetic excuse for a football match on Sunday night! And I'm a massive football fan - normally!

Anyway enough said about that! Here's my card for this challenge
This could actually be a picture taken on my recent trip to Yorkshire lol
There's Posh Pam on the end with her Martini - shaken not stirred, next up is Lisa with her hat on as she doesn't like the sun too much, then that would be me with my mouth open as I talk far too much - frequently!  and on the end would have to be Christine concentrating hard on her cocktail lol
Sorry girls I know you have a sense of humour!
It's actually an Art Impression stamp that I bought when I was there to find I already had it when I got home!! Nothing unusual then!  I gave the lovely Sue my duplicate as part of her birthday present.
My papers are Echo Park summer pad and most of the flowers are WOC again, I really love the mixing of the colours al la Rebekah.

We are sponsored this week by

You can find all the details over at the challenge blog page along with some fabulous inspiration and this week Francesca gave us a brand new teammie to play with!
So pop along and say Hello to Helen

Remember you can now use a digital image to join in but something on your card has to be at least 6 months old and you have to tell us what it is in your post

Before I go just to let you all know that Raegan arrived home safe and sound last night from China with mixed emotions! Really tired and happy to be going into her own bed, but sad that her adventure is over! Well at least for now - She's off to Orlando on the 6th of September with her friends from Uni.

Thank you for stopping by today

Summer's Here @ Diva's

Well I hope it's a little bit more like summer out there now than when I'm typing this! I'm a wee bit ahead of myself as I have to be organised or I can't play during the summer months, and today I wanted to play along as it's a brand new challenge at
and the fantabulous Rebekah has given us a theme of

Summer

and goodness me you need your sunglasses for this one!
I've used another Mo image, I'm totally lovin' these images at the minute! and I'm also lovin' Echo Park paper pads which I have used here. All my flowers come from WOC and I have mixed up all the bright colours al a Rebekah! I love it when the Boss does this so I copied her idea! My sun is cut on my Cricut - oh yes I used it again!

Hello again, it's my 3 in a row week and I'm back today with a DT project for
and I'm super excited about this one as I've been dying to colour up my Saturated Canary images for so long and I finally got the chance!
Team A are on duty today and this week we have had permission to get
DISTRESSED
Not that I need telling, in my everyday life it's a regular occurrence!

So here she is my very first SC image.... Hippielove
oooh those eyes....doncha just love them!
Coloured with Copics and a touch of brown Prisma Pencil on her hair tips, the papers are Echo Park, the flowers WOC, the die cuts Magnolia and the ribbon is from Ladybugs Craft Ink.
I have to say distressing does not come easy to me, I think I have a touch of OCD as I like everything to be straight and precise lol.

We have a fabulous sponsor this week

All the details of this weeks challenge, the prize and some fabulous inspiration from the Diva's can be found on the main challenge page HERE

Thank you for popping by,
