Good morning all! More of that white stuff again today, which is great for the kids and kids at heart. Me...I just look outside and think COLD, and my bones agree! So, I'm in hibernation mode whenever possible.
I think snow should come for Christmas and then leave, but the weatherman disagrees, so I figured I'd go with another Christmas card...this time with the lovely Christmas Door image from Just Inklined. I've tried for a bit of a vintage look this time, with lots of DI for all the edging.
Other supplies used:
My Mind's Eye - 'Tis the Season paper collection
Marble Texture Cube stamp by Stampendous..for background
Spellbinders - Decorative Labels Eight die
Whimsy - Corner Dies Set
Thanks for stopping by! Best wishes for the New Year!

Treasured Keepsakes
I do hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas with family and friends. Often this is something taken for granted, until the day when someone cannot be there. Today I'm showing you some of my late husband's carvings..... Santa ornaments which he carved and I painted a number of years ago. I treasured these, but this year I gave them a new home....one to each of my daughters. Something special from their Dad.
Hugs to all! Wishing you the best in the new year.

Last Christmas card for this year....
Here's wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a healthy New Year! And, I've one last Christmas card to show you.
A clean and simple card design where the image steals the show! Today I've used another Christmas image from Just Inklined called Poinsettia Label. Although the flowers have been coloured with copics, you'll see I've coloured over part of the sentiment with glitter pen and all of the scroll work with gold metallic pen. You need quite the steady hand for this, but the nice shiny result was well worth the effort.
It was nasty cold outside today, and I'd just love to hibernate inside until spring! The weather man was wrong again, and we've even got a white Christmas (bah, humbug!). I've never been a winter person or a fan of cold weather! So, thanks again for visiting and let's hope we can all stay warm and toasty.

Last minute wrapping.....again!
Sometimes it's all in the presentation. My grandchildren will be getting something extra special this year....which could fit in an envelope, but that just wouldn't seem right. So I decided I needed to make something.....similar to a gift card holder (times 4).
I knew I wanted to use my latest stamp acquisition (Joyful from Stampers Anonymous), and my most recent Spellbinders die (Labels Twenty Two). Of course that was the easy part, where I had a plan!
![](http://library.vu.edu.pk/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000100A/https/blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXhTz-XLqywC5c0njrKCZcIKX1R5iINrYu2ZUzJg6JYpr_CdNITtGpRRtwbPpOvmCt2lx8vaulZmwBNgpwsRBcGdHt8Rld9OwyA8K191hYxKESAoqNQQNDBhigl1pWyuC-Hro2xA6la2dq/s400/D505a+-+Stampers+Anonymous.jpg)
As you can see I've covered the chocolate with different colours of card stock, adding embellishments, stickers, stamping...really anything I could find! Nothing too intricate, as I know these will be torn apart Christmas morning! The special gift tucks into the packaging behind the sentiment.
Hopefully you are all ready for Christmas, with all your wrapping done, or maybe I've given you an idea to help you along. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have an enjoyable day!

Santa is coming....
Merry Christmas everyone! Just a few more sleeps until the big day, and time for another challenge at Charisma Cardz. The theme this time Santa Claus, and because everyone is so busy.....here's hoping you will get a few crafty minutes to yourself, as we would love to see your entry.
I had some fun with this cute little image from Dustin Pike, which would have been a freebie some time ago. Coloured with copics, I've added liquid applique to the fur on his suit, and glossy accents for the eyes. Once again, I've used the 'out of the box' technique...this time with a circle shape.
The mat is made with the Spellbinders Star Circles die, and I've filled the stars with assorted colours of stickles to give the idea of Christmas lights. The DP is from Basic Grey's Nordic Holiday collection, and the snow flake border uses the pretty Memory Box Frostyville die. A gold peel-off border and some candi add a bit glimmer, and then it's ready to go in the mail!

It's almost Christmas......'Time'
A little pun intended there (lol). However, time is marching on and the little ones are getting excited....as are the adults, but that is because we are not yet ready! So, taking a bit of time out and making another card, but this one's a little different with a rather peaceful look.
Using copics to colour, adding stickles for the flower centres and glossy accents for the berries, this lovely image from Just Inklined looks very festive and quite unique. I wanted to create a frame, and decided on a glossy black cardstock...cutting the centre out and giving it some fancy corners, then adding some silver peel-off trim. I had already decided on the DP, and just a sentiment, a bit of ribbon and some paper candi to finish it off.
Thanks so much for dropping by, and if you can't have a relaxing day....hopefully you will have a productive one. Good luck to all of you that are venturing out to the stores today....you are so much braver than me!
A few fun challenges for my card, where you are sure to inspired...check them out too!

Lavender and Lacy
Hi there, I'm sure you are all very busy getting ready for Christmas, and we all know that the days are getting shorter....in more ways than one! I still need to give some thought to some last minute shopping, (oh, oh), but in preparation I've made another gift bag. I plan to use it for Christmas, but hope it will be reused during the year for some other occasion. A sort of recycling gift.
As you can see, I've used a few Spellbinder dies....definitely a favourite of mine, and I've just realized that the the Labels Eight and the Decorative Labels Eight can work together! Love the finished lacy effect, especially with the pretty patterned paper from GSD Studios, with it's shiny highlights. The white flourish in the lower corner is a rub on, something that I've had for ages, but of course it was buried in a drawer!
The Saturated Canary image, is coloured with copics but I've added stickles to the outfit. Just the sort of thing my granddaughter would wear in one of her competitions. A nice satin bow, a bit of bling and a pretty flower complete the package. Now I just have to fill it!
Thanks for visiting, and good luck in your Christmas shopping and preparations. With luck, maybe you'll even find a bit of time for yourself!

Santa's New Ride...
Now, I know Santa's sleigh and reindeer are the mode of transport for the big night, but getting from point A to point B at the North Pole can also be a challenge. So, this year Santa has a new ride for his short jaunts! As my brother and his wife both enjoy the open air on their bikes, I figured this image from Just Inklined would be perfect for their Christmas card.
A nice simple card design, making the most of the colour red. The white snowy edging on the DP is something new that I found...glitter snow paint. It adds just a hint of glitter. Some gold card to mat the image and sentiment, a gold charm that I've coloured with copics, and a few gems all add just a touch of festive glam. I'm sure this card will bring a smile!
Supplies used:
Sidecar Santa image from the Best of Just Inklined CD
Colouring medium - copics
Spellbinders die - Labels Twelve
Simon Says die - Curvy Snowflake
Martha Steward - Alpine Snowflake punch
Fiskar's 3 in 1 corner punch
Thanks for dropping by, and here's hoping your Christmas preparations are coming along just fine! Take care and keep well!

Christmas at Charisma
'Anything that can go wrong will go wrong'...this is Murphy's Law, and I think I need to send him packing! Since last Friday, I've been huddled under extra layers of clothing and staying close to electric heaters, as my furnace bit the dust. Thankfully that happened before the extreme cold set in, and as of yesterday.....I have heat again and a new furnace!!! So Merry Christmas everyone, and CHRISTMAS is the theme this week at Charisma! Be sure to check out all the amazing cards from the DT, and hopefully we'll be checking out your challenge creations too.
You will notice that I've used some really warm colours here! Quite a simple layout and the image was such fun to colour with my copics.
Supplies used:
Bugaboo image - Ava and Deacon Merry Christmas Sign
Papers from MME - 12 Days of Christmas
Martha Stewart - Crown border punch and Fir Branch

Be sure to leave your comments along the way, for your chance to win one of the monthly spot prizes!
I've gone for a wedding card, using this adorable Rose Horseshoe image, and some pretty papers from Echo Park - Victoria Gardens collection. Once again, I've coloured with copics, adding a silver metallic edging to the horseshoe, and some liquid pearls for the baby's breath. Next, a nice shiny bow and a some silver glitter paper to back the sentiment. Such a pretty combination for that special day!
Now, you need to head on over to Gaynor's blog, who is sure to have something delightful to share. Thanks so much for stopping by, and here is the blog order....just in case you go astray. Hope you have lots of fun along the way!

Any Occasion Gift Bag
Good morning everyone. It definitely feels like winter is here, which I guess it should be considering it's nearly December. I'm not a winter person, much preferring milder temps, but thankfully we are still without the white stuff. I've just about got all my 'snow' insurance complete.....meaning I have new winter boots, the snow blower is ready, and my car is getting it's snow tires installed. I like to think that if I do all of these preparations, then the snow won't happen! Sometimes it works.
Thanks once again for stopping by, and I do hope Mother Nature is treating you kindly.
A few fun challenges for my card, and sure to inspire you:
As I'm basically now in hibernation mode, it does give me time for some crafting, and as it's also time for gift giving.....I thought I'd dress up another gift bag. As you can see, I've used some Christmas colours and sparkle, but I've played with a non-Christmas image, so this can be used at any time for any occasion.
Here's a close up of the image....such a sweetie and coloured with copics. A bit of liquid pearls for the jewels in her hair and necklace.
Supplies used:
Saturated Canary image - Pricilla Pie
Spellbinders dies - Deckled Rectangles, Fleur de Lis Rectangles, and Fancy Framed Tags Two
Martha Stewart around the page punch - Eyelet Lace
Misc - brads, flowers and some sparkly card stock

Get ready for.....snow!
'Tis Friday night, and Christmas is coming.....but so is winter! We might be seeing some snow tomorrow, but hopefully only flurries. We've been spoiled so far, but soon I'll be looking forward to spring! Tomorrow I'm headed to Toronto, with two of my daughters, where we will be taking in the One of a Kind Show. Here's hoping I find lots of ideas for Christmas.
So, to get in the mood....how about another Christmas card. This one uses the adorable Merry Christmas image from Just Inklined, Even snowmen like to celebrate....and they don't have to shop!
This time I coloured in the background, which better defines the image, adding some glossy accents to the glasses and glamour dust to the snow. I've cut and matted the image, using the Spellbinders Labels Two die, and created the fancy border with the Frostyville die from Memory box.
I tried something different with the sentiment....after stamping and heat embossing, I cut around it and then cut a backing in the red cardstock. This really helps it to stand out. A couple of MS punches for the snowflake and greenery, some peel-offs for the border, a few gems and a bit of Candi embellishment provide the finishing touches.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend....maybe some shopping, or perhaps just some time with family and friends. Take care, and beware of those snowmen under the influence! (lol)

Colour Challenge at Charisma
Don't you just love it when you have your posting all ready to go, and then it disappears and you have to start all over again!!! I guess it's going to be one of those days. So today's post is my DT entry for the new challenge at Charisma, and this week it's to be a Colour Challenge. With luck...you can find some crafty time and join in with us for a chance at some lovely prizes.
Here, I've made a birthday card for my sister-in-law who loves to shop, and this image from Bugaboo is just the ticket. Once again I've coloured with copics, adding some glossy accents to her boots for a little bit of extra glam. The fancy shoe stamp along the bottom of the card is an oldie from Stampin Up, and I think it fits the shopping theme perfectly!
Supplies used:
Image - Scarlette Shopping Diva
My Mind's Eye paper - Out of the Blue collection
Spellbinder's die - Romantic Rectangles
Memory Box die - Madera Corner
Other - Whimsy sentiment stamp, stickles, pop dots and bow

Birthday Flowers
What a beautiful day...it may be a bit nippy, but the sun is shining. Heading out shortly to pick up a new addition! My daughter is getting a new puppy...for her, not me. I don't need those hassles right now. Puppies are like grandchildren...absolutely wonderful, and so nice to visit...but the hassles belong to someone else!
Flowers are always a safe bet for a classic birthday card and this one, Batchelors Button, is no exception. It's just one of the many elegant floral images from Just Inklined.which I have coloured up with copics and pro-markers.

For Someone Special
Good morning! Just a quick post, as I'm off to the hairdresser's and then to a doctor's appointment...oh joy. Soon, we'll be scrounging for gift bags for those hard to wrap little gifts, so I thought I'd best get started. This one will be for Christmas, so I made sure to add some gold, but it can be re-used for any occasion.
I had some fun with a new Spellbinder die...Decorative Labels Eight, and I used the three larger dies of the set. The largest one is worked on kraft paper, while the smaller one for the sentiment, I've edged in gold metallic. I think this could become my favourite Spellbinder die....so far!
Using a flourish stamp and gold embossing powder, I've heat embossed a little festive shine.
And here's a close-up of the image, which I have coloured with copics. This little treasure (Jules) is from Saturated Canary, isn't she a sweetie!
I hope I've given you some inspiration to make your own gift bags this year. Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Those Were the Days...
It's grey and overcast day today with a good possibility of rain, which rather fits my mood. Tomorrow looks better, as the sun is supposed to shine with some nice mild temperatures. I'm really looking forward to that! Hopefully you too can have a nice sunny day this weekend.
Last night I made this card with my Dad in mind, as he used to play the violin back in his younger years. His birthday is in January, so I'm well ahead of the game here. The image is called Music Lover, another fine image from Just Inklined. I've chosen to work with shades of brown, using some Prima papers from the Printery Collection and I've even distressed the edges. No bling or sparkle today, just a few extra die cuts to add interest. I really enjoy playing with these!
Dies used:
Spellbinders - Labels Twenty and Fancy Framed Tags Two
Whimsy - Corner Dies Set
I'm hoping to get more male cards done in the next little while, after discovering that my stock of these was sorely depleted. Hope you enjoyed your visit.....and a have great weekend.

Feeling Blue at Charisma
Good morning fellow crafters! It's going to be a nippy Thursday, but with luck it will be bright and sunny. Hopefully you and yours can be warm and cozy. So moving right along....today there's a new challenge at Charisma Cardz, and this week the theme is Feeling Blue. Nice and easy, and we really look forward to seeing what what you can come up with. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's wonderful creations, for a good dose of inspiration!
I've gone with a sympathy card....one I hope I don't have to use, but it is always safer to have one on hand. The image is a rubber stamp from Stämpelkällan, and once again I've coloured with copics.
After cutting it out, I cut a backing from black cardstock, leaving just a little bit to show around the edges. It really helps the image pop against the pale blue background. You will note that I cut the front of the card a little narrower than the back, which let me add a bit of embellishment to the inside edge. I love this Romantic rectangles die from Spellbinders....it always adds that bit of elegance.
Now for our very generous sponsors, and the prizes you could win!
