New Instore: Vegan Ben & Jerries, Cloudy Lemonade Jelly & More

Non-Dairy Ben & Jerry's: The much anticipated vegan Ben & Jerry's has finally hit the shelves in the UK. There are three flavours available: Peanut Butter & Cookies, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Chunky Monkey. So far spotted in Tesco - for £5.50p.

Hartley's Cloudy Lemonade Jelly: Spotted in two flavours; Elderflower Lemonade or Original Lemonade. Spotted at Tesco - £0.70p each.

Tesco Black Forest Profiteroles: It's that time of year when all the festive party food starts to appear instores. Most of it is looking similar to previous years but I did spot these new Black Forest Profiteroles from Tesco. Hopefully there will be plenty more new products in the run up to Christmas. £2.00p at Tesco.

Nakd Limited Edition Lemon Drizzle: I know this flavour has been around for awhile but this is the first time I've seen it instore and in a multipack. £2.79p at Tesco.

Tesco Caramel Latte Cookies: An interesting new cookie flavour from Tesco and a bargain price too. Check out the review from A Review a Day. £0.99p at Tesco.

MOMA Porridge Almond Butter & Salted Caramel: A new flavour from MOMA Porridge that is dairy and gluten free. £1.29p at Tesco.

Vitalite Dairy Free Coconut: I only use Vitalite at home so I'm keen to give this coconut variety a try. Available at most supermarkets - spotted at Asda for £1.00p.

Müller Light Crumble Inspired: A limited edition Rhubarb Crumble & Custard Flavour Yogurt from Müller. Spotted at Iceland and Asda - £0.68p each.

Ben & Jerry's Berry Neighbourly: Also new from Ben & Jerry's is this Berry Neighbourly flavour described as - vanilla ice cream with cookie & blueberry swirls & white chocolate chunks. Spotted at Tesco - £4.20p.

Carthy & Black Yorkshire Gin Cream Liqueur: Made using an unique blend of Yorkshire cream and gin from the award winning Slingsby Gin. Spotted at Asda.

Thanks so much to Lucy W. for the last five photos and for such great finds. If you've spotted any new products instore then I would love to hear from you - send any photos to grocerygems@gmail.com or @grocerygems.

New Instore: Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough 'Wich Ice Creams & Mr. Kipling Cupcakes

A few more new products spotted instore:

Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough 'Wich: Many thanks to Luci J. who emailed me the photos of these new ice creams from Ben & Jerry's. I can't wait to try out a Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough 'Wich - they look so good! It's described as a vanilla ice cream with cookie dough sandwiched between chewy chocolate chip cookies. Purchased at Sainsbury's.

Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough  Son of a... 'Wich: There's also a mini version of these ice cream sandwiches available; the rather brilliantly named Son of a... 'Wich. Well played Ben & Jerry's. A big thank you again to Luci photos. Purchased at Morrisons.

Mr Kipling Cupcakes: Also new are these single pack Mr Kipling Cupcakes which are available in three varieties; Apple Pie Cupcake, Angel Cupcake and Cherry Bakewell Cupcake. They cost £1.20p each but are also available in a large 12 pack for £8.00. Thanks to Lucy W. for this photo. I believe these are currently exclusive to Tesco but let me know if you spot them anywhere else!

Many thanks again to Luci J. and Lucy W. for these great finds and photos. As always, if you've spotted any new products in store then I'd love to hear from you - email grocerygems@gmail.com or tweet @grocerygems.

New Instore: Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake, Gingerbread Yogurt & More

Thanks to Lucy W. for the first three photos!

Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake: I was so surprised when I heard that this had been released in the UK. It feels like I've been banging on about the lack of pumpkin and cinnamon flavours in the UK and then Ben & Jerry's brings out two at once - Cinnamon Bun and now Pumpkin Cheesecake. Häagen Dasz who? £4.49p at Tesco.

The Collective Gingerbread Yogurt: I love the limited edition yogurts from The Collective. They always release such interesting seasonal flavours. This Gingerbread is really appealing to me and I'm sure I will enjoy it more than the Xmas Pud yogurt last year. £2.00p at Tesco.

Tesco Carrot Cake Yogurt: This is such a unique yogurt flavour from Tesco. Lucy tells me there was also a Marmalade Toast flavour and a Raspberry Doughnut flavour! Let me know if you've tried any of these. £0.60p at Tesco. UPDATE: I've hear from Sophie who says that this yogurt was  a little disappointing, it had only two sultanas and needed more cinnamon flavour, and perhaps some grated carrot too. However, she did say the mascarpone part was tasty. If you've had a similar experience let me know in the comments below.

Nescafé Mint Mocha Café Menu: Nescafé often releases seasonal varieties in their Cafe Menu instant coffee drink range. This limited edition Mint Mocha is joined by their retruning Gingerbread flavour. £1.89p at Tesco.

Tesco Red Velvet Cake Dessert (frozen): There were absolutely loads of new frozen desserts at Tesco today, far too many to mention. I was drawn to this Tesco Red Velvet Cake which seems to be a cross between a cake and a cheesecake. There was also a new (long list alert!) Salted Caramel Cheesecake, Toffee Apple Cheesecake, S'mores Cheesecake, Sicilian Lemon Roulade, Black Forest Roulade, and a White Chocolate & Cranberry Cheesecake. £2.00p at Tesco.

Oreo Cheesecake; I'm definitely tempted by this one. If you've tried it then let me know if it's any good in the comments below! £3.00p at Tesco.

Cadbury Snowy Delight Pots of Joy: This limited edition Pots of Joy chocolate dessert from Cadbury is a simple combination of white and milk chocolate layers. It's a nice enough looking winter edition but I'd like to see something more autumnal from Cadbury at this time of year. £2.58p at Tesco.

Thorntons Fudge Pots: There was also a new range of Thorntons Fudge Pots in the yogurt section. I spotted three different varieties; Toffee, Vanilla and Chocolate. £1.50p at Tesco.

The Collective Dairy Duples: The Collective have also released a new range of duo pot yogurts called Duples. Lucy told me about these and I managed to spot one flavour instore, a 'black cherry gourmet yogurt with dark choccy curls'. £1.19p at Tesco.

Bonne Maman: Also in the yogurt section, a new range of Bonne Maman dessert pots. There were three flavours; Strawberries & Cream, Vanilla Creme, and Strawberry Mousse. £1.80p at Tesco.

Tassimo Kenco Americano Grande: I must admit that I haven't used my Tassimo machine in months. It's currently gathering dust in the back of a cupboard somewhere. I'm almost tempted to give it another go and try these new Kenco Americano Grande capsules. If anyone  has tried these then I'd love to know if you enjoyed them. £4.59p at Tesco.

If you've spotted any new products instore then I'd love to hear from you - email grocerygems@gmail.com or tweet me @grocerygems. Thank you!

New Instore: Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns, M&S Christmas & More

A round up of new products spotted instore.

Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns: I finally found the new Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns ice cream. It's described as a caramel ice cream with cinnamon swirl and chunks of cinnamon bun dough. I've been waiting for a decent cinnamon themed ice cream for ages so I can't wait to try this one. Review coming soon. £4.49p at Tesco.

Ben & Jerry's Save Our Swirled: Also pictured in the photo above is the new Save Our Swirled ice cream. This one features a raspberry ice cream with marshmallows, raspberry and blackberry swirls, and chocolatey cone pieces. £4.49p at Tesco.

Carte D'Or Chocolate Hazelnut Winter Collection: This is a large celebration ice cream dessert that looks absolutely gorgeous. I enjoyed the similar Carte D'Or Raspberry celebration ice cream last year (we had it as a Christmas dessert and everyone loved it). This Chocolate & Hazelnut version will be at the top of my Christmas dinner shopping list for sure. £3.00p at Tesco.

Minion Cookies: The Minions invasion continues with these bakery fresh cookies featuring 'chocolate bean' decorations. £1.00p at Co-Op.

M&S Petrifying Pumpkins: M&S has it's usual impressive range of Halloween foodie products instore. I liked the look of these new Petrifying Pumpkins. These cheese flavoured puffed crisps are all pumpkin shaped which looks really unique. £2.00p at M&S (3 for 2 offer across the Halloween range).

M&S Christmas Whip: Of course there is also a wide range of Christmas products available at M&S already too. This giant Christmas Whip looks fun and would make a really cute gift. It doesn't seem to be Christmas flavoured in any way which is a shame, but it is well decorated, with holly and white icing to look like a Christmas pud. £4.00p at M&S.

M&S Katsu Curry Sticky Rice Chips: Japanese katsu curry is my ultimate favourite meal so I was pretty delighted to find these intriguing sounding chips in M&S. I'll have a review soon. £1.50p at M&S.

M&S Dark Chocolate & Cherry Jaffa Cakes: I was disappointed in last years seasonal edition Cranberry & Chocolate Jaffa Cakes from M&S. I'm hoping this year's Dark Chocolate & Cherry Jaffa Cakes will be tastier. £1.50p at M&S.

M&S Red Velvet Teacakes: A modern twist on classic teacakes. These feature a cream cheese flavoured mallow with a chocolate base and decorated with red sprinkles. £1.00p at M&S.

M&S Billionaire Bullion Bar: This layered dessert just looks so M&S. It's an extravagant combination of salted caramel sauce, caramel flavoured mousse, chocolate ganache. shortbread biscuit and a golden chocolate shell. £4.00p (for two fairly small desserts) at M&S.

Hula Hoops Stars: There honestly aren't enough star shaped crisps in the world. Welcome back Hula Hoops Stars. Spotted at 99p Stores.

Pom-Bear Snowmen: Probably the only thing cuter than star shaped crisps would be these Snowmen shaped crisps. Spotted at 99p Stores.

If you've spotted any new products instore then I'd love to hear from you - email grocerygems@gmail.com or tweet me @grocerygems. Thank you!

Review: Ben & Jerry's Speculoos? Specu-Love Cookie Core Ice Cream

Ben & Jerry's recently launched a range of Cookie Core ice creams in three biscuit inspired varieties; Speculoos? Specu-Love, What-a-Lotta Chocolate, and Utter Peanut Butter Clutter. Being a fan of all things Speculoos, I had to give the new Ben & Jerry's Speculoos? Specu-Love flavour a try first.

The Ben & Jerry's Sepculoos? Specu-Love is described as a Caramel Ice Cream with Caramelised Cookies & a Crumbled Caramelised Cookie Core. Interestingly it differs from the recent American version of this ice cream which has two flavours of ice cream, Dark Caramel and Vanilla, (see reviews on The Impulsive Buy and On Second Scoop), whereas our version just has the one Caramel flavour ice cream.

I couldn't help but delve straight into the centre to try the Cookie Core itself and was quite surprised to find the core has a gritty and crumbly texture rather than being a softer centre. For some reason I had expected the core to be similar to the Biscoff Speculoos Biscuit Spread with it's smoother texture, but it's really nothing at all like that spread. The flavour is quite different too (this is not a Lotus collaboration after all) and the Speculoos biscuits used in the Ben & Jerry's Cookie Core have spicier notes of cinnamon and ginger. The Caramel ice cream has quite a plain brown sugar type of flavour but it does provide a creamy background to the stronger Cookie Core. The added lumps of Speculoos Cookies within the ice cream itself give an extra crunchiness and welcome burst of additional spiced cookie flavour. The whole combination is a pleasing mix of smooth and crunchy, creamy and crumbly, all with the flavours of brown sugar and spiced cookie.

I'm definitely a 'more is more' type of person when it comes to ice cream, and even though I enjoyed this Ben & Jerry's Speculoos? Specu-Love, I would have preferred if they had added some caramel sauce into the mix (or if the Cookie Core was more like the Speculoos biscuit spread!).

If you've tried any of the new Ben & Jerry's Cookie Core ice creams then please let me know what you thought of them in the comments below.

Grocery Gems Review: Ben & Jerry's Speculoos? Specu-Love Cookie Core Ice Cream

RATING: 7 out of 10.
Buy them again?: Maybe but I'll try the other Cookie Core flavours first.

Purchased: Sainsbury's.
Price: £3.00p.
