Large Purses

Good Afternoon,

Sharing a few large purses.  These purses measure 7 1/2 x  9-1/2 inches.  It fits 10 cards and 10 envelopes easily.  It can also be used as gift bags.  Crochet flowers were made by me and you can fine the bow tutorial on the side bar.

The inspiration was from here.   You can fine many FREE templates here.

Small Gift Purses

Good Morning!

I bought these purse templates from here last year because I didn't feel like spending hours making the template.  Plus her price was reasonable.   I didn't like the original purses size so I changed the purse size to fit small gift instead of just gift card.

Yellow is my least favorite color.  I had yellow papers more than I needed and I wanted to get rid of them so I made them into purses.

Small Purses

Good Morning!

I came across this blog Mel Stampz and she has lots of free printable templates plus links to many more free templates.  There were so many templates that I didn't know which one to choose  so I chose this   template.

But at the end I didn't use her template.  I created an exact shaped template/purse but my finished purse had a clean sides.

The white one didn't come out as nice in the photo but it is so pretty seeing it in person.  It is my favorite.

After making these small purses, I thought I will try and make a bigger one to hold some cards.  The bigger purse didn't come out as nice.  I think it was because the purse was so big.  It measure almost 7 inches x 6 inches not counting the handles.

This is the side of the purse, a clean look always.  Sorry for the poor photo quality.

Purse & Brief Case Gift Card Holder

Good Monday Morning Everyone,
I enjoy making boxes and purses.  I bought this Sizzix Scoreboards box and scallop from Michale, hoping that I can make boxes and purses faster but it didn't. The die didn't score! I tried on different material also.  It still didn't score properly.  I had to score all the score lines. May be the one I bought was malfunction? And I couldn't find the receipt.

Here is my first box/purse.

Box/purse opens

I didn't really like the ribbon for the handle so I  make another one.

This one I  used card stock for the handle.  I like this one better because it looked more like a brief case.  What do you think?  Which one do you like?

Sizzix also has a Bussiness Card Box die that looks just like this.

No I did not buy the Business Card Box die.  I cut off the scallop edge and here is the business card box.

Thanks for looking.  Have a lovely day!

Tres Chic Handbags

Good Morning,
I normally don't buy tutorial of any kind.  But Becky Robert at Inking Idaho got me.  Her Tres Chic handbags are just too adorable and her price was not bad at all.

So here are my Tres Chic Handbags.

Thanks for looking.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Brilliant Blue Purse

Hello,

I made this purse to put some of my cards from my stash to give to one of my son teacher.  I decided to try the faux alligator instead of the pattern papers.  The purse looks o.k.  I think if I were to use either black or chocolate chip it would look much better.  The thing is I've thought of using those two color but I am running low on both card stock colors. I am debating whether  to order those card stocks from Stampin' Up! now or to wait until July.  If I order the card stocks now I'll be saving several dollars.  If I wait until July, I will be spending extra dollars since the price of the card stocks are going up for the new catalog.  I have lots of Brilliant blue card stocks. I ordered them for wedding invitations last year but never got to use them.  Hopefully one day it will be used up.

I cut off 1/4" on each side of the purse.  I like this one better.  The purse is still very big but it has a better shape.

Also, I am really excited to receive this award from the talented Michelle at Pink Paper Paradise.  What a fun award!

The rules for this award is:
1. Thanks and link the person who gave you the award.
2. Display the award on your blog.
3. Tell 6 lies and 1 truth about yourself or vise versa.
4. Nominate 7 others and leave a message letting them know.

I will go with 6 truth and 1 lies.

1.  I enjoy blogging.
2. I am 37.
3. I get to play with paper crafts everyday.
4. I  ate bugs before.
5. I enjoy cooking.
6. I read my children books, Diary of the Wimpy Kid.
7.I never went into the water at the beach.

Goes to the end of this post to see which one is not true about me.

I am passing this fun award to the following seven bloggers:

3. A one of a Kind Design by Rachel

CAS - Purse - onally

Good Morning,

I saw this purse here a while ago and on many other blogs and had been wanted to make one.  I finally did it.
Here is my version.

The chain on the handle was inspired from Michelle at Pink Paper Paradise. I bought my chains from The Home Depot. It was sold by the foot.  I was going to cut every other chain which mean I would waste many chains but my husband offered to help me.  He said he could separate each chain for me without cutting the chains and he did!  Sometime he can be so helpful. :)

I made a box purse before.  You can see it here.   I didn't like the closed box for the cards so I made my purse open like this for easy access to the cards.  There was a problem with my purse.  It won't stand up!  So to hold the two pieces together, I added the band and tucked it under the front pocket.  Problem solved!

The inside pockets was inspired from here.  I think I put at least 5 cards on one of the pocket and the other pocket it's for the envelopes.  Now looking at the handle I should have covered those brads. May be next time.

Thanks for taking a peak!  Have a great day.

Top Note Purses

Hello,
I am still working with the remaining 80 mini treats.  A few weeks ago, I had an entire day to myself.  Ah, it was so nice and quite.  The thing was  I didn't know what to do so I tested out my new toy, scor-pal. I finally decided to buy one. Look what I made in a little over 3 hours.  I should have bought it a long time ago.

I made 24 Top Note purses.

You were thinking that was all I could make!  No, I didn't just make 24 purses.  I cut, scored, and assembled 70 small bags that I used for the purses.  I was looking for small bags that would fit between the two Top Notes in many places but could not fine it, so I made them.

If you are interested in making the small bag, here is how: 4 1/4 x 11 1/2.  I used the 20 lbs. printing papers.  I bought the papers from Office Depot and they had different length.  Came in a pack of 500 sheets.  Mind was 8 1/2" x 14 " perfect for this type of craft.  After I made these bags, I went to Michale's Art and Craft and found out that they carried the bags  that I had been looking for and it was the #1 size bags.  Any way, you can get the bags from Michale's or make them yourself.

4 1/4" x 11 1/2" Score at 3 1/2, 5 1/2, 9 and 11

Turn and score at 2 1/2

Cut like shown in the picture below.

Assemble the bag by first apply adhesive on the 1/2 inch flab.  Then assemble the bottom of the bag and you should have this.

If you are using liquid adhesive  which I did, you will need to wait until the glue is completely dried before proceeding to the next step.

Once the glue had dried, pinch the opening (top) of the bag like in the picture.

Then flatten the bottom.

Sandwich the bag between two Top Note dies (trim the two Top Notes 1" off before sandwiching the bag).

For the purse cover, make two score lines about 1/8" from the center.  See picture.
This is the old purse.  I only made 1 score line right in the center of the Top Note.  It was difficult to close when I put chocolates in the purse.

The newer version was much better.

Thanks for stopping by.  It's going to be another beautiful day!
