Happy Hedgehogs

How can you not feel happy with hedgehodges around? They are just sooo cute! Okay, I just had to get that out of my system. Of course the bright cheery colours were just a delight to play with.

I'm once again, playing out of my Grab Bag Swap. The image is from Penny Black and coloured with copics. The DP, ribbon and sentiment is unknown. The button was rescued from a friend who was cleaning house. The bow is a scrap of DMC thread. I outlined the image and sentiment in baby blue stickles to add some sparkle.

It Seemed Like a Good Idea...

Have you ever made a card, had lots of fun playing with it and then looked at it when it was all done and wondered, "What on earth did I just make?"

I admit that I was doing my monthly Grab Bag Swap so I was working with colours, sentiments, and images that are not my norm. Can you believe that with over 50 sets of stamps, I only have 4 sets with animals - that I never use! (Pun Fun, Very Punny, and 2 Changito sets) So starting off the bat, it was a stretch. Yellow, what is that colour? I run from the sun like a vampire. What colours go with yellow?

Then I just got silly. The sentiment screamed "Make me into a tag!" Next I needed an embellie and the yellow flowers that were sent in the kit got lost on the paper so I pulled out some of mine. In my rumaging, I found the lilac rhinestones. "Use me, we're going to tarnish back here," they cried. What could I do?

All in all, a fun time was made trashing my craft space. What more could I ask - other than a magic fairy to clean up after me?

Challenges this card meets:
Totally Papercrafts - Rainbow (This is a bright card! I do have ROY G BIV colours on it)
Creative Inspirations - Recycled Element (The flower embellishment was saved when a local store was going to trash their window display. I have enough for eternity.)
Clearly Delightful - Tag, You're It
One Stop Craft - Summer Fun (Gardening)
Paper Sundaes - Metal (staple)
Simon Says - There Ain't No Cure for the Summer Time Blues
Stamp with Fun - Lilac and Blue
The Pink Elephant - Summer Fun (gardening)
Crafty Catz - Animals
