ZENTANGLE CHALLENGE: ABEKO

Hi everyone! I’m back today with more Zentangle. I hope you enjoy!

AbekoChallenge

AbekoChallengeLineArt

Size: 3.5 x 3.5”; Zentangle Patterns: Abeko, Zinger, Nekton, Striping

A couple of weeks ago, the Shading Zentangle challenge pattern was Abeko. I apologize that I am so far behind with posts, but since our son and daughter-in-law moved here, I have been so busy! But it is the kind of busy that I love and had missed so much!

So, this is my take on Akebo, with some Zinger, Nekton and Striping. This was done with a Micron pen and Prismacolor and graphite pencils.

I apologize for the lack of posts. I have been under the weather for a few days and just didn’t manage to post anything. Today is better though so I have this tile for you I used Mooka as the central pattern and created it as a gem “generator”. I used Prismacolor pencils to color the gems.

This week, the Shading Zentangle challenge pattern is Quandu.  I have to admit this one was a real challenge for me! For some reason, I just had a hard time coming up with a design. It has been a crazy week, so I guess my mojo was off.

GROOVY CHALLENGE

Hi everyone! I’m back today with more Zentangle. I hope you enjoy!

Patterns: Groovy, Florz, Zinger, Henna Drum

This is for the challenge at Shading Zentangle where the challenge is the pattern Groovy. This is a new pattern for me and was a challenge to shade!  I used a Micron pen, Prismacolor pencils and graphite pencils for this one. I like the bit of color on this tile, but it is not purely zentangle.

I almost forgot to take the “before” shot so I took it after the henna was colored.

BIRTHDAY CARD ORIGINAL ART

Hi everyone! I am sharing exciting news today, at least for me! I am now hand drawing my cards! This art thing has totally surprised me, and I am having fun drawing, so I’m going out on a limb and trying my hand at this. Here is my first card that I now have in my Etsy shop!

This is a Zentangle inspired drawing that has these patterns: Ponio, Flormeoba Rose, Cruffle, and Zinger. I used a Micron pen to draw and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is handwritten. I matted the drawing on textured card stock and mounted on a cover stock card blank.

Well, I hope you like my card. I really would like to hear what you think of my new direction, so please leave a comment!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy crafting!
