Happy Wednesday,
I know that Christmas roses are traditionally white but I love the way they look in a traditional red. I used the Craft Artist flower foam Christmas pack selecting the deeper red and cutting this with my new Christmas Rose die plate.
I shaded the petals with black pigment ink which really brings out the colour and intensifies the colour. I prefer using the coloured foam for coloured flowers as its far easier to shade the edges than to colour white to red then try to darken the edges and get shading.
I added my shaded ivy matching stamp and die stamped onto green crafts too linen card with Izink embossing ink and heat set it with opaline ( mother of pearl) clear embossing powder. This gives a lovely reflective shine to the pattern on the leaves.
I used the Sams Starz die set for the main card cut and added to a piece of double sided adhesive sheet before adding holographic clear glitter over the exposed adhesive.
I cut the star panels in white on the burgundy and added the flowers as shown .

Foam Roses...
Happy Monday,
I thought I would share today my Brand New Christmas Rose made with the new Silk White flower moulding foam form Craft Artist for Crafts too. It works so well when coloured with the Verbena dye ink form Izink making, to me at least, like a traditional Christmas Rose.
I have used my round bauble die as a base for the flowers and tied these with the shaded ivy stamp and die and my Rose leaves ( cut in the Green Flower foam from the new Christmas colour pack).
The foam is 0.6mm thick meaning that, as here, you can mould this in your hands no need for an iron or a heat gun. I coloured the petals with the ink and a finger dauber using mint green in the centre. I then stretched the petals to give some definition and added the centres and some stamens from my stash.
The background is made using the new Sams Starz die set just cut in white and mounted onto white.
I added layers in the olive green Crafts too linen card and silver with more layers of the crystal gold card I sued for the rest of the card.
Enjoy...

Snowy Background...
Happy Tuesday,
I'm starting to slowly get back into blogging everything I am making,
Today I am sharing a card that Lights up and has a snowy night background. The background uses acetate and the Izink Pigment Ink Droppers and I thought I would share a technique video I have made for the background. There is also a video showing how the card was made if you like ( or are a glutton for punishment!)
The colours I've used are slightly different form those I used on Hochanda as we had stock issues with a delivery form France ( I didn't say it got lost somewhere over the channel!) so I worked it with a change in colours which I have to admit I love it looks like the sun is coming up!
Here's the video showing how to make the background click the link to watch!
Back Soon,

While Shepherds watch...
Happy Monday,
Firstly thank you for the wonderful reception to my first launch of Christmas Dies, and an apology for not posting pictures and sneak peeks! I have so many samples of the collection I will be trotting them out over the next weeks and months right up to Christmas.
This card uses the Bauble set, the Nativity scenes die set and the elements die plate which makes the stunning mistletoe and point cones as shown ion the top of the bauble. I teamed this with the snowflake lattice from last year which makes, imho, the perfect background for the bauble inset.
Hopefully more tomorrow,
Enjoy...

Lattice in Print...
Happy Friday,
The lattice collection is featured in Die Cutting essentials which came out yesterday so I thought I would share one of the projects I made for the feature.
I used the lattice corners to make a background which is so easy as there are 4 corner dies as well as the circle and square in the corners set far easier that using one die repeatedly to make a background.
I cut the lattice into apiece of blue card using the outlines for the square and circle to cut the whole of these pieces out.
I added a sheet of white card and then cut the circle and square lattice pieces in this before adding a navy piece at the back giving a look of dimension in a flat piece.
I added the lattice flowers cut in the navy with white lattice and the with love tag using my bold numbers for the 60.
Die cutting essentials is available now at your local craft shop or newsagent!

Yellow Anstey...
Happy Wednesday,
Another card today made using the Anstey die set along with the lattice flowers. I have a lot of samples to share with the flowers as Ive found them to be one of the most versatile I have designed.
Here I've just cut the solid flowers once in a pale yellow then added the lattice detail cut in a deeper yellow. I just cut one of each for this showing that you don't need lots of layers to add a delicate detail.
The 2 shades of yellow and the white ( all linen card form Crafts Too) works really well, not a combination I often use however I love the fresh look!

Teal Lattice...
Happy Monday,
I thought I should share today my favourite card form last weeks shows and the lattice collection.. I love a lattice whether it be a background leaf or flower and to mix it with my favourite colour combo of Teal, black and white.
I used the Anstey die cut in teal over black for the centre and added flowers cut in white, teal and black.
I love the mix of styles and colours simply gained by cutting the full set in each of the three colours.
Enjoy...
