Happy New Years Eve!
I have more shows today on Hochanda on the Creative Expressions storage, there are some great products and prices if you need to store all your crafty goodies. I have quite a lot of demos arranged as well so it would be great if you could tune u=in at either 9am, 12pm, 4pm or at 7pm!
Back to today and I have added a few pictures of some of the units I have decorated and will be demoing today as well as, of course, a paper craft project!
I thought I would share a simple wintery card as an antidote to all the brightness and pomp of the festive season. This has, in my opinion, a great sentiment from my pierced flags clear stamp set, for the New Year as its is certainly true for me!
I hope everyone has a great New Year and that 2016 brings peace, happiness and prosperity to all!
Enjoy...

Time for some sorting out?...
Happy Wednesday,
Firstly I am showing my card today for my last stint ( for this year and on a Wednesday) for the CE design team. From Sunday I will be moving my DT inspiration day to Sunday so here is the last wednesday card!
Also I have shows On Hochanda Today and tomorrow! I have only just realised, as typing this, that I did the first ever One Day Special on Hochanda earlier this year and today I will launch the last ODS of the year! Tonight at 8pm I will be on Hochanda ( freeview 39 sky 673) with a range of products and ideas to get our craft caves all sorted for the new year. I thought it would be a good idea to show some of the ideas I use to keep things ( to start each day at least) neat and tidy especially as I have heard quite a lot of my blog family received new crafty stash for Christmas!
Firstly I have finally found a replacement for the die storage books that I developed with CE at the beginning of this year. I have been asked so many times where I got my books from well the original books sold out so I have found a replacement which I will be demoing tonight and thought tomorrow.
There are lots of new ideas like this stamps and matching die storage as well as an idea for keeping your rubber amount stamps tidy was well as the fabulous stamps to die for by Sue Wilson.
There are loads of ideas through tomorrow at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm where I will get to wish everyone a Happy New Year live which Is a real pleasure for me!
Hopefully some of you will be able to tune in, it would be great if you could email in at Studio@hochanda.com.

Review day 4...
Happy Tuesday,
Here is day 2 of the review of 2015 and we enter the real spring, once again here is a section of cards and projects that have been my favourite, form each month, this year.
Lets kick this off with October and this giveaway card that was won by Tressa, Aqua and white a sneak peak of my personal home Christmas colours for this year.
To view the original post click HERE.
For November it had to be my favourite from the new launch of dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. I have a small dose of stripletitis ( caught from Mrs Duck) so the technique of making a striplet into a frame came out again for this one!

Finally for this year it had to be my favourite from my winter stamp launch. It seems so long ago now especially as I am beavering away on my Spring collection ready for launch in late February.
The snowdrops stamps are, only I'm sure in my opinion, perfect for spring as well. This is specially appropriate this year as I believe they are already starting to emerge due to the mild weather.

That's it for this years review it would be great to hear which of the 300 or more posts I have made this year have been your personal favourite!

For August I had a slew of Hochanda shows and my first chance to premier Sue Wilson's dies on TV. I have chosen my favourite demo card I made for the first shows highlighting the dandelion clocks dies.

Happy Sunday,
Here is day 2 of the review of 2015 and we enter the real spring, once again here is a section of cards and projects that have been my favourite, form each month, this year.
Lets kick this off with April...
A pink card, which is not usually my colour however it was June and I seem to be using more and more pink!
To view the original post click HERE.
There has to be one card using my favourite background from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions this year the Canadian. I have done a quick count and I seem to have made at least 30 cards that feature this background this year, deffo a firm favourite!
To view the original post click HERE.
There is always a blue card or two in my faves list and I simply love the three panel approach, especially if you can add some ribbon woven through the aperture!

Review of 2015
Happy Boxing day,
I hope Father Christmas brought you all the gifts you wanted and that you all had a fabulous Christmas! Normally I run a review of the year over 12 days however with so much left to show and so much new stuff happening I don't have 12 days to do this. I thought therefore that between Christmas and new year I would have 4 days to review the year using the next four days. There is one card which is my favourite form each month along with a link to the original post should you want more details.
Lets kick this off with January...
A simple card but to me a favourite as it has a classical look.
To view the original post click HERE.
Next is February and a rhapsody in Teal and coconut white
To view the original post click HERE.
For March I had to choose one of my samples form my first ever release of stamps, I think I was so excited that I didn't do them justice however this card was one on my faves from the samples I made!

2 more sleeps...
Happy almost Christmas Eve!,
I thought an antidote to all the Christmas brightens would be welcome again today, also although I said it was my last DT project for Creative Expressions last week I have been informed that unlike last year we are continuing through the Christmas Period! Therefore I won't be changing to Sunday ( my new DT day) until the 3rd January next year lol
Today's card is another using this months collection of new craft dies designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions and uses, in the main, the Heart of Hearts die.
To start I cut a panel of cobalt blue foundation card and the cut the largest die in the set form the centre top. leaving the die in place I embossed the whole piece using the star swirls embossing folder. Next I covered the raised area with pearl moon gilding wax and polished it to a shine using a dry wet wipe.
Next I cut a white panel using the double pierced rectangles set slightly larger than the blue layer. I placed this under the blue layer and using the cut hole as a guide I taped the next heart die in the set in place before removing the blue layer and cutting the heart. I then cut a square for the back and used the centre filigree die for the heart full of hearts (hence the name) I added a piece of white card which I covered in micro beads and foam mounted all the layers together.
For the flourish I cut the outline die in the daisy cluster set using cobalt card and cut the centre separate die in white and glued this behind. I finished with a liberal sprinkling of 3mm stick on pearls to differentiate the centres of the flowers. I added this on top of a seem bonding bow in white under the heart.
The remainder of the card is made of layers of cobalt and white adding some of the configuration corners at each corner.
to see what the rest of the team have created click HERE it would be lovely if you have the time if you left a comment over there too!

Seed Pearl Snowdrops...
Happy Tuesday,
how about another gentle card as an antidote to all the bright colours and lights of Christmas!
I stared by stamping the main element from the Snowdrops set in black archival ink onto coconut white card. I swapped the sentiment to the Chill its your birthday as I thought it more appropriate for the icy topping I was putting on. Next I cut out the stamped image using a circle die from Sue's first release . I then added a piece of double sided adhesive over the stamped image and cut it out by hand. then I added microbeads that show the image through but give a look as if the image has been frozen.
Hopefully this picture will show what I mean lol. I then cut three panels of coconut white card covered in double sided adhesive using one of the outline dies form the mini striplet dies. I then covered each of these with microbes and inked over the top using cut and dry foam cover in flake and glitter glue. This makes the microbeads receptive to being brushed over with pearlescent mica powder. Once dry this alerts the translucency of the background giving an appearance of seed pearls.
I matted these on more white card and from mounted them onto a few layers of card. I cut one of the Scandinavian borders and added antique white double sided ribbon ( the thin ribbon from the pack) over the centre and some white PVA dimensional glue at the junctions. I added the circle over the top and a bow with a shaped camellia flower to hide the knot.
A few double pierced layers ( sorry they are my favourite base dies so seem to be popping up on everything!) and finished.
Hopefully a gentle birthday card for anyone born in the winter of spring?!?
Enjoy...

Gilded Camellias...
Happy Monday,
Well I hope all the Christmas cards are made and written as I believe today is the last posting day! I have to admit that mine still aren't so I will try to get them all done and in the post today!
I thought I would share one of my favourite cards fork my recent stamp release. This uses the stamping with Gilding flakes technique however this time I have stamped onto acetate. I hope some of you were able to catch me demo this on Hochanda.
I stamped the main element from the camellia set with cosmic shimmer flake and glitter glue onto CE heat resistant acetate. I left this to go off for a few minutes ( whilst I cleaned the stamp it is very important to clean your stamps after using the flake and glitter glue as they remain sticky!)
Next I added a pinch of Silver Dream gilding flakes over the stamped image I rubbed off the excess using rubit scrubit foam ( this was originally designed for cleaning stamps as I have been reliably informed)
Next I cut a large frame in coconut white foundation card using the Double pierced squares dies and using the same technique I stamped the camellia border in 2 corners.
Finally I made up some of the camellia flowers using the SW complete petals die. I shaped them and added some small silver dazzlers in the centre. I grouped them in the opposing 2 corners and added a few layers of the coconut white foundation card.
Enjoy...

Tagged 2...
Happy Sunday,
After yesterdays quick post due to the wonders of Mr Blogger I thought I would continue the tagged theme with today's post. One again I used up an old piece of background for this card. That is one of the area I think the Tag dies and now matching stamps come into their own as not only can you quickly sentiment a card that you have already made you can also make a card around the tag!
The piece that had been hanging around the craft cave for an age was this piece of paper grouted bed of roses embossing.
I cut part of the backing into 6 squares using the 2nd from smallest double pierced squares. Next I used the B set to cut 6 mats for these squares form vintage silver card. I mounted them , with foam of course, into a rectangle to make the background.
I mounted two strips of silver double sided satin ribbon down one side and added a bow and a dazzler. I ten stamped the medium take from my stamp set along with the sentiment in detail silver on the blue card and cut it out using the matching tag die form Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions . I added another tag cut in vintage silver for balance and finished.

Happy Saturday,
I had scheduled today's post so that I could have the first Saturday lie in since June however Mr Blogger decided not to publish it and to delete it somehow! sorry guys!
so its a quick card in substitution I'm afraid I've had this texture pasts background hanging around my craft cave for an age. I decided to frame the piece using Sue Wilson's double pierced squares and her treble frame technique. I added strip of the Scandinavian border to which I added a strip of the thin double sided satin ribbon in blue bird and some white PVA dots. I rand this across the front right of the card.
Next I stamped the largest tag from my pierced tags clear stamp set and added the sentiment from the same Set. I then used the white PVA dimensional glue to add pearls in some of the dots around the edge ( a great guide if like me you sometimes struggle where to put them) I tied this to the border strip using more of the thin ribbon.
Next I made 2 satin ribbon flowers by cutting strips of the wider bluebird ribbon like a fringe. I rolled these up and heat set them gently so I got the fibrous look . a couple of stick pins, more layers of what and silver for balance and finished!
Sorry it's late
