Orwell Quotes

Political language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.

-- George Orwell

One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes a revolution in order to establish a dictatorship.

Quotes And Opinion

Political language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.

If you believe that government should be accountable to the people, not the people to the government...then you are a Republican! If you believe a person should be treated as an individual, not as a member of an interest group... then you are a Republican! If you believe your family knows how to spend your money better than the government does... then you are a Republican! If you believe our educational system should be held accountable for the progress of our children ... then you are a Republican! If you believe this country, not the United Nations, is the best hope of democracy in the world ... then you are a Republican! And, ladies and gentlemen ...if you believe we must be fierce and relentless and terminate terrorism ... then you are a Republican!

Quotes

“You know, it's one thing about intellectuals, they prove that you can be absolutely brilliant and have no idea what's going on.”

— Woody Allen

“So much of left-wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don’t even know that fire is hot.”

— George Orwell (1903-1950) English novelist.

“Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality.  But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”

— Alexis De Tocqueville

“No legislative act contrary to the Constitution can be valid.  To deny this would be to affirm that the deputy (agent) is greater than his principal; that the servant is above the master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people; that men, acting by virtue of powers may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid.  It is not to be supposed that the Constitution could intend to enable the representatives of the people to substitute their will to that of their constituents.  A Constitution is, in fact, and must be regarded by judges as fundamental law.  If there should happen to be a irreconcilable variance between the two, the Constitution is to be preferred to the statute.”

— Alexander Hamilton, Federalist #78

“I pledge allegiance to the official narrative.  And I affirm that our election systems are the only digital systems that are 100% immune from hacking.  I further affirm that there was no election fraud of any kind because we are not allowed to check.  Amen and a woman.”

— Scott Adams

"Most Russians Urban-Americans don't care whether they are ruled by fascists or communists or even Martians as long as they can buy six kinds of sausage lettuce in the store and lots of cheap vodka overpriced gourmet coffee."

General Alexander Lebed Les Bates.

“The problem with Universal Suffrage is that we universally suffer as a result.”

— A Retired Cab Driver

"The Liberals don't understand, when you're in a hole, stop digging."

— Jason Lewis, The Rush Limbaugh Show, September 8, 2000

“For every idealistic peacemaker willing to renounce his self-defence in favour of a weapons-free world, there is at least one warmaker anxious to exploit the other’s good intentions.”

— Margaret Thatcher

"Whenever there is a jackboot stomping on a human face, Pragmatists will advocate compromise with thugs, and Postmodernists will rationalize thug tradition."

— Stephen Grossman

"Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out."

— David Horowitz

“If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself.”

Thoughts For The Day

To us who aren't under the influence of Kant and in fact value our lives, a call for an act of murder has to be taken literally.  There's simply no other morally valid option.  Punishing a man for an act he didn't commit is unjust.   Imprisoning a man for speaking the truth is tyrannical.   Disarming the citizens, who're the sovereign authority of the nation, is treason.

Everyone ages and eventually dies.  Unfortunately I'm condemned to witness the beginning of the Second American Civil War.  What some people will call the Second American Civil War The Reformation.  In fact we're in the opening stages of the Second American Civil War.  Those who walk the path of power are destructive and have to be destroyed, there's simply no alternative.

George Orwell wrote 1984 as a warning, not as an instruction manual.

Antisemitism in politics is the practical equivalent of a dead canary in a coal mine, I can't say this often enough.  We have to see that Antisemitism is a symptom of a deeper philosophical problem.  We should treat Antisemites as the Enemies of Humanity they actually are.

Paulette Cooper and Shelly Miscavige were punished for simply doing their jobs, this is wrong.  Revolutions happen (real revolutions, not Marxist ones) because the state does something wrong.  Treating Scientology as a valid religion is clearly wrong.

The French used to have a positive military reputation before June of 1940, the Dien Bien Phu thing didn't help either.

Some people are complaining about the Communist Chinese treatment of some Muslims.  Uh, no.  When oppressors are fighting oppressors we should just stay out of way.

Some Liberals can't get a cup of coffee right.

Thoughts Of The Day

Josef Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Pol Pot died peacefully instead of properly at the end of a rope.  Socialism was the most toxic ideology promoted in the previous century, there's no excuse to promote it.

Voting Republican is a rear guard action at best.

The word "NO" is likely the most important word in any language.

1984 was written as a warning, not as an instruction manual.

Thoughts Of The Day

Collaborators always appear when conquest happens, this is unfortunate.

I once had to close a checking account at TCF Bank.  The person I was talking to was making excuses for not complying with my request.  It was only when I told them that I would call the MN Attorney General’s office did they comply.  I suppose it did help that the sitting Attorney General was the DFL goon Skip Humphrey, who had a reputation of being one trench coat short of being a proper Soviet thug.

In reality the Citizens of the United States are the sovereign authority.  As such have the right to publish and speak the truth, and to read and hear the truth, in order to carry out their obligation as the sovereign authority.

The novels 1984 and Atlas Shrugged were written as warnings to Humanity.  Not as instruction manuals for enemies of Mankind.

Justice consists of getting what someone deserves, not receiving what someone wants.  The absolute last thing the other side wants is justice, because that would result in their extinction.

It doesn't matter if you're bitten by a rabid doberman or a rabid poodle, you're still going to get rabies shots.

Many of my predictions are wrong, such as this one.

Before one can lie to others, one has to lie to one's self.

To Democrats the fundamental value is power.  Freedom is the negation of power and therefore must be opposed.  Or at least in public Freedom must not be supported lest the victims come to understand their actual position within the socialist order.

That which doesn't kill you isn't trying hard enough.

Quote

The standard response from Marxist apologists for Stalin and other Communist dictators is to say you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs. To which Orwell retorted, ‘Where’s the omelette?’

When telling the truth is a revolutionary act then something's VERY SERIOUSLY WRONG with your society.

What Would Orwell Say?

What would Orwell say?

Those who uphold, defend, and spread economic and political liberty are called Conservatives while those who seek to lock humanity down under their total control are called Progressives. In effect, in the political context, the practical meanings of the political labels are reversed.

The one of the functions of language is to serve as the operating system of human thought. But the function of Newspeak is to prevent correct identification of the facts of reality. Thus bloodsoaked tyrants such as Fidel Castro are called liberators and liberators such as President Bush are called oppressors. But since clarity of thought, the correct identification of the facts of reality, is necessary for humans to survive and prosper, a language form that obscures facts and disconnects thought from reality has the effect of being toxic to human life. Each subsequent revision of Newspeak, with its increasing disconnection from reality, is increasingly toxic to human life. An ultimate version of Newspeak, in which any thought is impossible, would be totally lethal.

Thus if we are to survive and prosper as individuals and as a society we must remove the newspeakers from our educational establishments and if necessary isolate them from society altogether.

Punishing a man for an act he did not commit is unjust. Imprisoning a man for speaking the truth is tyrannical. Disarming the citizens -- who are the sovereign authority of the nation -- is treason.  To say anything more would require the extensive use of barracks language.  There's no such thing as "common sense gun control" those who are in favor of banning firearms are enemies of Humanity and should be treated in the Nuremberg style, from the neck until dead.  And there's no limit to what a Statist can do to a disarmed victim.

Death to Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi.

If God is good (also known as Jehovah or Yahweh) then Stalin or Mao have to be better.

You really don't want to to be a drummer for the band Spinal Tap.

Anyone who arrested David Miscavige would be doing the Church of Scientology a favor.

A Fact About George Orwell

The novel 1984 was written as a warning to all of us.  Not as an instruction manual for the Democratic Party or members of Anti-fa.   Control over everything and everyone productive must be a Democrats or a member of Anti-fa wet dream.

And here's a quote about George Orwell:

The progressive left really doesn’t like the concept of Free Speech.  They want to make any speech they disagree with illegal.  They use Orwell’s 1984 as a training manual, instead of the warning it was meant to be.

Thought For The Day

Newspeak has become the dominant dialect of the academic and media establishment.

In Newspeak those who uphold, defend and spread economic and political liberty are called Conservatives while those who seek to lock humanity down under their total control are called Progressives. In the political context the practical meanings of the political labels are reversed.

A function of language is to serve as the operating system of human thought. But the function of Newspeak is to prevent correct identification of the facts of reality. Thus blood soaked tyrants are called liberators and actual liberators are called oppressors. Since clarity of thought which is the correct identification of the facts of reality is necessary for humans to survive and prosper a language form that obscures facts and disconnects thought from reality has the effect of being toxic to human life. Each subsequent revision of Newspeak, with its increasing disconnection from reality, is increasingly toxic to human life. An ultimate version of Newspeak in which any thought is impossible would be completely lethal.

Thus if we are to survive and prosper as individuals and as a society we must remove the practitioners of Newspeak  from the educational and media establishments and if necessary isolate them from society altogether.
