Scrapping The Little Things ~Peter Cottontail!

Good Morning paper peeps and welcome to Scrapping the Little Things at My Creative Time!  Today we are focusing on Easter Layouts.  Well I didn't have any pictures printed and I'm not sure I want to go back and do previous years in my Project Life style album.  So I just did a Title/Journal card for this years layout and since I don't know what pictures I'll be using, I only made one.  don't judge  :)

I used Martha Stewart fringe scissors for the grass.

Don't you just love the cute little frosted flower for the bunny tail!  :)

Don't forget to see what my design teammates made!

Enjoy!

3D Wednesday ~ Recycle ~ Conversation Starters!

Hi my paper lovin' friends!  I'm sorry this is my first post of the week.  Last week I mentioned that I was doing some redecorating around my home.  My first project...I making a slip cover for my sofa...well it's taking a bit longer than expected.  I've taken some pictures along the way, I'll be sharing soon.

As for today's project for My Creative Time, Emma asked us to make a 3D project using something that is usually tossed {packaging, tags, string or elastic, bread ties, toilet paper/towel rolls etc}.  Love anything that helps me save money and the earth!  I choose to use a toilet paper roll and make it a pocket to hold "Conversation Starter Cards".

All I did was flatten the roll and added adhesive to one end to create a pocket!
Then I just decorated it with paper, stitching, flower petal dies, and more!  I used the stamp from My Creative Time's Lots of Love stamp set.  I just love that sentiment!

I thought these "conversation cards" would be fun to ask on a date night.  We went out with another couple last weekend and used them.  Believe it or not, even after almost 28 years together we didn't alway know how each other would answer!

Thrifty Thursday ~ Congrats Card and more!

Hello paper peeps and happy Thursday!  I'm very excited to share with you a new segment for My Creative Time...Thrifty Thursday!  On the days that's not a Designer Challenge, Emma will be rotating different themes for the off Thursday's.  So what does Thrifty Thursday mean?  Glad you asked!  We have to make a card or a layout using only scraps.  Of course the base for either doesn't have to be.

This is what I started with.  When ever I cut something and the paper isn't quite right for the project I'm working on, I never throw them away.  So you can see the heart is already cut from another project.

And here is the finished card...I don't think it looks like a card of scraps!  Do you?

Look how much I have left over still!  I think I feel another card coming on!  lol!

I have recently cut back on the amount of Design Teams I'm on.  I have really enjoyed being on all the different teams and getting to know really great people!  However I'm super excited to be able to devote myself to My Creative Time and my own Boutique!  And with my new found freedom, I plan on playing in different challenges and doing some redecorating at home!  Yes, I will be sharing these projects with you too.  So if you have just recently became a follower, I hope you aren't disappointed that I won't only have paper projects.

Enjoy!

MCT Desinger's Challenge ~Veronica!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you're having a happy week so far!  Emma at My Creative Time has a new challenge!  It's called MCT Designer Challenge, every other Thursday one of the designers will choose what the challenge will be.  So this week Veronica is up!  Her challenge is to recycle! Make what you want using something you would usually throw away.  And of course we need to use a My Creative Time stamp and/or die!

For this challenge I made a Halloween mask with a veil for more intrigue!  :)

I used the net bag that avocados come in from Costco for the veil.
