MCT April Release Sneak Peek Day 4 ~ a good book!

Welcome to Day 4 of My Creative Time April Sneak Peeks, and only one more day until the shopping begins!  Today I get to share with you a fun new set called So Many Books.  This is the perfect set for all of your "book worm" friends!

Wouldn't it be fun to give a coffee or book gift card with a sweet bookmark?  

This is the perfect "small gift" to have on hand for any occasion.

First stamp I the image with Memento Ink then I color with Copic Markers.  Added Wink of Stella to coffee mug and tulips and glossy accents to the coffee.  After die cutting the gift card pocket I ran it though a sizzix embossing folder for more detail.

MCT March Release Blog Hop ~ shower

Welcome to My Creative Time March Blog Hop!  This week has been so fun creating and sharing with you this fabbie release!  You should have arrived here from the super talented Kim's blog.  If you just popped in to see me, then you'll want to head over to the start at Emma's wonderful blog with a video to share with you.

For my project I created a favor that would be awesome for a bridal or baby shower.

 

To create this favor I cut two umbrellas using the large die.  Next I cut a strip of the same pattern paper about 1.5" x 4".  Then I scored length ways on both sides of the strip.  In the center of the strip I scored two more lines going the opposite direction, this created a bottom for the favor.  I used red sticky tape since it's super strong.  Lastly I added some stickles and sequins for a bit of bling.

MCT March Release Sneak Peeks Day 4 ~ birthday wishes!

After die cutting the Long Treat Box I stamped the plaid design using Simon Says Stamp Ink.  A small rectangle die was used to create the window.  Copic markers were used to color the chick.  I added glossy accents to the eyes and beak, and a bit a chalk and white gel pen on the cheeks.

2/1 mct 3D Wednesday ~ heart bow box!

 

Hello, today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time!  This feature has been updated from What a Treat Wednesday.  We wanted to be able to share with you all types of non card projects, so I hope you enjoy it!

I wanted to make a treat box for Valentine's Day to hold a few kisses.  

The bubblegum box is perfect for that!

I stamped the heart with versamark ink in a random pattern, then assembled the box and added the bow.  It really couldn't be easier than that.

MCT January Release Blog Hop ~ thank you!

Welcome to My Creative Time 63rd Release Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Kim's fun blog!  If not then be sure to head over to Emma's wonderful blog for the start!

To create this "stained glass" look, after die cutting the pouch I stamped the flower on the outside with stazon ink.  Next I used copic markers to color the image on the inside of the pouch.  When coloring with copics on clear cardstock, you will always have streaking.  So use it to your advantage and make the streaking purposeful.  

For the label I stamped only part of the sentiment, then added the "thank you" die on the first layer of the small treat label.  I didn't fill the pouch with the Junior Mints for the picture...you wouldn't have been able to see the flower.  :)

MCT January Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ~ party time!

Hi, today is Day 3 of My Creative Time 63rd Release Sneak Peek!  I have a super fun project that would be awesome for any birthday party!  A fun treat holder and the small label die, which just happens to be the freebie are to "die" for!

This took lots of die cutting and some paper piecing, and heat embossing the darling label to create.  If I were doing a bunch of these for a party I would put in a cello bag and add a bow at the top!  

I only used the back layer of the label die, there is also a smaller one with stitching.

MCT January Release Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ love!

Welcome to My Creative Time 63rd Release Sneak Peeks and it's Day 1!  Today I get to share with you this adorable treat pouch and labels!  You are going to love these dies.  There is actually a label die that is larger than the label I'm showing.  It fits the small die for layer, but without the stitching.

After die cutting the pouch, I ran it though my big shot with an embossing folder.  This way the pouch fit into the folder.  Then added the label, love, and hearts.  This is a super fast and easy project for Valentine's Day!
