My Pink Stamper Blog Hop Challenge

Here is my entry to My Pink Stampers Blog Hop Challenge. It is an A2 card, I used all scrap paper on this card except for the mat. I got that piece from my Glitter Sweet Mat stack from DCWV. I used My Pink Stampers stamp from her Simply Sweet Occasions Stamp set. I had to play with my iTop from Imaginisce after I saw a video made by them on how to use material! Can you believe my DD tried to throw out scraps of material!?! I need to teach her a little better to be a scraper. I popped the cupcake up with two different types of adhesive because I wanted different deminsin on it. The icing is adhered with Stampin Up's dimensionals and the heart is adhered with Helmar's White Zap Dots. I used flock on the heart in two different colors (pink & red) Thanks Celeste!!! She sent me some awhile back, SUCH A SWEETHEART! The pearls are from Core'dinations and the bling on the cupcake is from Imaginisce using their iRock tool and gems. I inked the edges of the pattern paper and the cupcake with Cat's eye ink from Color Box. The ribbon is from Michael's. Then I put the cupcake on the card with my latest addiction an ACTION WOBBLE! :) Have fun if you join in guys, cause I sure did making this card!

Recipe:

5 1/4 x 4 DCWV mat stack
Cupcake 3 1/2
Inside:

Bear Hugs for kids...

Hello everyone! I didn't get to craft much yesterday but I did get to make a couple of cards. Both the same but hey, assembly lines are awesome for card making! Chris Wooten from Turned Gypsy  asked if we could make some cards to send to hospitals for a "just because" reason I guess. Cards that can be for both boys and girls, holiday, get well, birthday, or just to plain ole cheer them up! I think this is awesome and have started making some to send her. I plan on "trying" to make one a day to send to her on the 5th. I know I can make more than 1 but this to me is a realistic goal that I know I can overcome :). I aim low so I can look better to myself lol.
I cut the base at your normal A2 size and mated down 1/4 inch for each mat. The only "designer paper" is the top layer from DCWV their 8 x8 Far East Stack. I think distressed it with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain. The panda & bamboo is from Create a Critter and cut at 3 inches. I distressed my Panda with black soot and used white gel pen & light brown sharpie. I also used Tim Holtz distress stickles "Antique Linen" on his tip of the hat and on the bamboo. About a month ago I found some Bamboo "Anna Griffith" brads at Tuesday Morning for $1. Was not sure what I was going to use them for but I have a obsession passion for brads so I had to have them. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's More Punnylicious stamp set. It says "Bear Hugs".
Inside the card is a Stampin' Up "Get Well Wishes" sentiment. And the ivory card stock is distressed as well.

I think I am going to make some more of these as I want some for myself. I think I might even try some flock on the next batch!

Thanks for looking!!

Create a Critter Croc

Hello everyone! It's finally Halloween! I can't wait to take my son out trick or treating and see all the fun ghouls and ghosts tonight! I wanted to do a challenge today for M.A.G Challenge #2. I LOVE that this is a challenge blog that gives you a page from a certain cartridge to work from each week! You should check them out!
I got a 1 lb pack of scraps at HL that had this fun looking brown leather like paper in it (Its the reason I got the pack) and I just knew that one day I would be using that paper! And I was right! The grass, croc outter layer, and yellow layer are all from that pack. Its Handmade paper from TPS. He is cut at 1.8  and the bird is cut at 1.5. I used paper from DCWV's Amber Autumn  for the mat (Which I distressed with TH's Aged Mahogany) and the bird (Which was distressed with TH's Wild Honey).
Card cut at 5 x 7 using Kraft card stock and the mat is 4 3/4 x 6 3/4.
The sentiment is from Clearly defined Small Tag Lines. The clouds are cut on the Imagine at 3.7. And last but not least the grass is the MS grass border punch.
I used Stampin Up's deminsionals to put the Croc on and double layered the deminsionals to make the bird seem to be standing on the croc.

Hope you like it!
