Enjoy the Spring by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  The Design Team members from Team A are back from their summer break and so it's time for our new weekly challenge (#607).  The theme is

BACK TO THE BOOKS

(Back to school, reading, or anything book related)

This summer has been rough for me because I had a total knee replacement on June 27.  The first two weeks were an absolute nightmare but I am now able to walk with a cane.

One of my favourite pastimes is reading so this theme is right up my alley.  I chose the adorable Enjoy the Spring by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps which I coloured with Copic markers.

There is more wonderful inspiration by the other DT members here.  While you are there, why not join our challenge?  There are some lovely images to be won. Check this out:

The Paper Shelter also has a Facebook group.  See here.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a lovely day, Lori xx

Hammock Days by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends! Welcome to my Design Team post for the new challenge (#601) on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog which begins today.  This week's theme is

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

There are so many wonderful and fun summer activities.  Personally, I like to relax, read a good book, and have a delicious margarita, or two!  I found the perfect image for my slimline card called Hammock Days by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  This young lady certainly has the right idea as far as I am concerned!

As usual, I coloured her with Copic markers and I drew a relaxing background for her.  Now she is all set.

The Paper Shelter has a Facebook group called The Paper Shelter Fan Group.  This group has some great inspiration.  For more inspiration, stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  You will see more amazing inspiration by the other Design Team members.  While there, why not join our challenge?  There are some lovely images to be won.  Check out the new prize details as of June 2024:

Take good care of yourselves, and have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Bookworm Fairy by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  It's hard to believe that it's already mid March.  We've been getting quite a bit of snow lately.  I am not of fan of snow anymore, nor cold weather.  But, we have to take what Mother Nature doles out, right?

This week's theme on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is

ADD A TAG

One of my most favourite pastimes is reading.  Hence, I decided to use the lovely Bookworm Fairy for my DT card.  Clearly, she is reading outdoors, and so I drew an outdoor scene for her.

I coloured her with Copic markers, and then I added clear Wink of Stella to her wings.  I used that wonderful sentiment by Neil Gaiman because it truly captures the essence of reading.

Remember to pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to see more fabulous creations by the other Design Team members.  While there, why not join in the fun?  As always, there are some amazing prizes to be won.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Laurel by Digi Doodle Studios Digi Stamps

Hi peeps!  Welcome to my second DT post this month for Digi Doodle Studios.  I am featuring the darling Laurel image by Digi Doodle Studios Digi Stamps.  I wonder what kinds of books she enjoys?  Reading is one of my favourite pastimes.

The theme for this month is 3 or more layers.  I added 4 layers to my card:  the slimline die layer, two patterned papers and the glittered frame.  As always, I used Copics and Polychromos to colour the image.

That's all from me today.  Thank you for stopping by, and remember to visit the DDS challenge blog and/or the DDS Facebook group, or both.  You may win some adorable images.

Have a lovely day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Hello friends!  I have some wonderful news to share with you today.  I am joining The Paper Shelter Design Team (Team A)!  This is my very first post.  I am so excited!

The theme for this week is "A Bookmark".  Reading is one of my most favourite pastimes.  I used the darling "Did You Ask for a Fairy?" image.

I coloured this gorgeous image with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils. I plan on sending this bookmark to a very special person who has been immensely supportive towards me during some recent dark times.

Girl with Book by Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  Hope you are doing well.  Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog has a new challenge which starts today.  The theme is always "Anything Goes".    http://lemonshortbreadchallenge.blogspot.com/

I chose the beautiful "Girl with Book" image as my DT inspiration.  You can find it in Vera's etsy shop, along with so many other gorgeous images, here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/498632082/digital-stamp-girl-with-book-digi?ref=shop_home_active_101

Reading is one of my favourite hobbies and I remember coming across that wonderful quote by the English author, Neil Gaiman,  some time ago.  What a truly marvelous quote!

I used Copics and Polychromos to colour this fabulous image.  As a background for the image, I thought it was a clever idea to use a die which looks like a bookmark.  I used the top portion of Spellbinders "Labels 11" dies to create the bookmark.

As always, I thank you for visiting.  I wish you a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx
