Hammock Days by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends! Welcome to my Design Team post for the new challenge (#601) on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog which begins today.  This week's theme is

SUMMER ACTIVITIES

There are so many wonderful and fun summer activities.  Personally, I like to relax, read a good book, and have a delicious margarita, or two!  I found the perfect image for my slimline card called Hammock Days by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  This young lady certainly has the right idea as far as I am concerned!

As usual, I coloured her with Copic markers and I drew a relaxing background for her.  Now she is all set.

The Paper Shelter has a Facebook group called The Paper Shelter Fan Group.  This group has some great inspiration.  For more inspiration, stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  You will see more amazing inspiration by the other Design Team members.  While there, why not join our challenge?  There are some lovely images to be won.  Check out the new prize details as of June 2024:

Take good care of yourselves, and have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Spring Night

Hello!

Welcome to my DT inspirational post for Ching-Chou Kuik's new Facebook Challenge.  The theme is "Summertime/Seaside" and I though this gorgeous image captured it perfectly.  This is "Spring Night" and you can find it, along with 3 other images, in Ching-Chou's etsy shop here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/495482036/digital-stamp-spring-mermaid-fairy-set?ref=shop_home_active_76

A close-up:

I used a free clip art seashell image as my base, printed it out onto 2-sided patterned card stock and cut it out by hand.  Next, I folded another piece of the 2-sided card stock in half, placed it over the back of the first piece of card stock (leaving 3/4 inch at the top) and cut that out.  I then glued the two pieces together.  Voila!

I've coloured her with Copic markers and FB Polychromos pencils.  The flowers are made with Martha Stewart's small and medium hydrangea punches.  The net die is Marianne Craftables (LR1409) die.  Seashells, starfish, Swarovski crystals and pearl spray are from my stash.

Have a lovely day!  Lori P xx
