There's a Fairy in My Tea! by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello dear friends, and welcome to my Design Team post for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog's new challenge.  The theme this week is one of my favourites:

YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR COMBO

It's no secret that I love all shades of purple and pink.  Having said that, here is my DT card using the sweet There's a Fairy in My Tea!" by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.

I coloured this adorable image with my trusty Copic markers.  I added a light coating of clear Wink of Stella to her wings, but it's hard to see on this photo.

There is also a Facebook group called Friends Who Like The Paper Shelter.

Remember to stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to see some lovely inspiration by the other DT members.  While there, why not join in the fun?  There are always some fabulous prizes to be won.

That's all from me today.  Thank you for visiting.  Have a wonderful day.  Lori xx

Bookworm Fairy by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  It's hard to believe that it's already mid March.  We've been getting quite a bit of snow lately.  I am not of fan of snow anymore, nor cold weather.  But, we have to take what Mother Nature doles out, right?

This week's theme on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is

ADD A TAG

One of my most favourite pastimes is reading.  Hence, I decided to use the lovely Bookworm Fairy for my DT card.  Clearly, she is reading outdoors, and so I drew an outdoor scene for her.

I coloured her with Copic markers, and then I added clear Wink of Stella to her wings.  I used that wonderful sentiment by Neil Gaiman because it truly captures the essence of reading.

Remember to pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to see more fabulous creations by the other Design Team members.  While there, why not join in the fun?  As always, there are some amazing prizes to be won.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you soon.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Bee with Heart Bundle (Girl) by Conie Fong

Hello friends!  Welcome to today's post.  Conie Fong has some truly darling new releases (nine of them) in her etsy shop.  My DT card features one of them.  This delightfully sweet bee is the girl version of Conie's Bee with Heart Bundle.  The release includes an adorable boy bee, along with two sentiments and a flower.  Plus, it's available in PNG and JPG formats.

Is she not the sweetest?  I coloured her with Copic markers.  I like to add some shimmer whenever an image has wings so I applied some clear Wink of Stella. The card has a white base but it's hard to see here.

Remember to visit Conie's etsy shop to see all the truly beautiful images.  In addition, Conie has a Facebook group where she hosts a monthly challenge.  If you win, you may receive some adorable images.

Bella Benji Fairy Bundle by Conie Fong

Hello dear friends!  Welcome to my DT post today.  I used the darling Bella image from the Bella Benji Bundle by Conie Fong.  I just love these sweet little bears.  In fact, I love teddy bears of all kinds.  This bundle comes six images (Bella and Benji facing right and left, and two sentiments), and is one of six new releases.

I wanted to ground her, so I drew a leaf for her.  I coloured her and the leaf with Copics.  Then, I applied clear Wing of Stella to her wings for a lovely shimmer. Finally, I used chalk to create the clouds.

Conie has a Facebook group where you can enter her monthly challenges.  She has some adorable images for the winners.  So, why not join in the fun?

Pixie by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hey there, friends!  Summer began in my neck of the woods yesterday.  I have to say that summer is my least favourite season.  Too hot and humid, and way too many bugs.  However, I do love that the days are longer.

Challenge #517 starts today on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is THINGS WITH WINGS.  What a versatile theme, right?  I chose the darling Pixie image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  She is so very sweet!

This card is smaller than the standard slimline cards.  It measures 3.5" x 6.25.  I followed an awesome video tutorial by Karen Aicken.  Her video shows you how to use 6" x 6" papers to create mini slimline cards.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FPXyyvWzig

Here is a side view:

This cutie is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I applied Liquid Pearls (Petal Pink) to the butterflies' bodies, and Wink of Stella to the fairy's wings.

If you would like to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, see here.  And, if you join in the fun, you may win some beautiful images.

Thank you for visiting.  It always brightens my day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Paint-A-Flower: Lotus by Altenew Stamps

Hello friends!  I was one of the winners on the Altenew Florescence Blog Hop and, along with my prize, I received a discount card with a stamp design to colour on the other side.  It featured the gorgeous Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Lotus Outline Stamp Set image.  The card has a shiny matte finish, so I wasn't sure which mediums to use.  I used Copic markers, Zig markers and chalk to colour this lovely image, and I am rather happy with the way it turned out.

I am going to send this card (along with 19 other cards that I just made) to an organization that distributes cards to seniors.  I hope they brighten their day a bit.

I am entering my card on the #AltenewChallenge.
