Poppy Fairy by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hello friends!  Welcome to my post today.  This week's themes for the Design Team members of Ching-Chou Kuik's Facebook challenge are "Shabby Chic or Distressed or Vintage".
https://www.facebook.com/groups/chingchoukuikdigitalstamps/
These themes evoke a design style that embraces a worn look.  Words like lace, floral, soft, romantic, eclectic, casual and feminine come to mind.

This beautiful image is "Poppy Fairy" and can be found in Ching-Chou's etsy shop here:
I coloured this lovely image with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  The poppy is handmade.  A bit of lace is peeking out of the distressed patterned paper.  I also added red lace at the top of the card.  Her wings are gently covered with clear Wink of Stella.

Thank you for visiting.  I appreciate it very much.  Have a happy week.  Hugs, Lori xx

I used the lovely "Hummingbirds" image by Ching-Chou Kuik.  You can find it here in her etsy shop:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/454161406/hummingbirds-digital-stamp-instant?ref=shop_home_active_141

This is the first time that I made a shabby/chic card and I really enjoyed making it.  I distressed the edges of the patterned paper at the top to achieve an old and weathered look. As always, I used a combination of Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils to colour this fabulous image.  The iris is handmade.  Have a nice week.  Until next time.  xx

Flourish:     Crafter's Companion "Filigree Flourish" die
Flower:       Spellbinders Die D-Lites "Create an Iris" die

Distresser:  Tim Holtz "Tonic Paper Distresser"

Lace and pearls are from my stash.
