A Jar of Eyeballs

I thought I'd start the week off with something a little different from me.

A notebook.

This was commissioned by a lovely lady from America. She wanted a notebook for her daughter. Something including eyeballs, the colour purple and her initials ND. I love being pushed outside of my 'comfort zone' so grabbed this challenge with both hands!

I started with an image from Meljen's Designs, and built the design up around that.

I chose some dark purple textured cardstock from American Crafts and added a doily design using my Indigo Blu Flitter in the colour.. Gin and Tonic. I layered some teal scallops with some checkerboard paper and finally a bow made with ribbon from The Ribbon Girl.

I didn't want to go too overboard with the embellishments, so added a button to the knot in the now, and a few liquid pearls here and there.

Easy peasy, and I loved it!!

Happy Monday. xo

**************************************************************

The DT were lucky enough to be given some images from Meljen's to play with!! I was super excited to get FIREMAN BEAR printed off and coloured up!! How cute is he?!

I have a kraft base for my topper, I have printed my image on Neenah cardstock and coloured him using PM's and Copics. I have trimmed him down and rounded the corners. To reflect the yellow on his suit I decided to add a little hand stitching using my Sew Easy tool. Now that my sewing machine is broke.. I guess it's the perfect excuse to get this handy little tool out a little more. It seems to have become neglected a little - but not any more! :) My sentiment has been created using a mixture of Jenni Bowlin alpha stickers and American Crafts Thickers. That is about all!! :)

I would like to enter this topper into these challenges:
× Card Cupids - Animals
× Creative Inspirations - Father's Day or Card for Dad
× Dream Valley - Father's Day

Thanks for stopping by today, I can't wait to see your Father's Day creations over on the PTD blog. Hop on over now to see what the other ladies on the DT have come up with using these gorgeous images!

Pear Tree Designs #51 - SPARKLE

Hey there!! Thank you to everyone who joined in with our sketch challenge last week - it was great to see everyones interpretations! So fun. Congrats to the winner JEMIMA'S JEMS. Get in touch with Donna to claim your prize.

This week over at Pear Tree Designs we have a super fun challenge for you.. 'SPARKLE'.. we want to see those shimmery/ shiny/ glittery/ sparkly projects. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Our sponsor this week is Meljen Designs and the DT were lucky enough to play with some of their images, I chose Birthday Cupcake - it's sooo fancy!!

Here is my take on the challenge..

I wanted to have a go at a CAS card, haven't done one of those for a while.. if ever?! Not too sure how well it went, I couldn't help but to add a few lengths of bakers twine from The Ribbon Girl, the colours were just too perfect. I have used PTI Hibiscus Burst cardstock to make my card base and added a layer of SU! Certainly Celery cardstock which I have stamped with a PTI stamp in SU! Sage Shadow ink.

I have fussy cut the digi and added dimensional adhesive to the back to make it pop off the card. I added a strip of cupcake paper from a MME Lime Twist pack and tied some bakers twine behind the image. I have added some Cotton Candy Stickles around the outside of the green cardstock and some Diamond Stickles to the stars of the cupcake.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
× Ellephantastic - Birthday/Party
× The Secret Crafter - #136 CAS
× Totally Gorjuss - Strings The Thing

Thanks for stopping by today, I'm off to get some more of this LAST EVER ASSIGNMENT researched!! I cannot WAIT to get it finished and printed off!!
