same time next year...

you'll notice the bar right next to the tree- after attaching all those ornaments, a drink needs to be handy!
every year, we say next year we're going to skip the christmas tree, because attaching all 10 gazilllion ornaments is too much of a pain, but somehow, it just doesn't feel like christmas without my beloved 99¢ store/kmart xmas tree.  so this year we got smart and got a little help putting it up, and we're happy we did- it's pretty and makes us happy, plus (here we go tootin' our own horn again) we think it's pretty darn chic for being thrown together on the cheap- proof that glamor needn't always cost a fortune.
a lil closer.
and closer still.

how about y'all? holiday decorations up, or just starting? or are you opting out this year?

ooooh Fifi is procrastinating... boxes are out and ready to decorate... one tree is UP but un-decorated... and SCARED to decorate as the NOW BIG CATS still fancy climbing into the Xmas tree... I had hoped they would grow out of that idea seeing as the branch bend so they are NOT hidden like last year when they were wee ANGELS (ha!)... soooo do I just throw ribbon in the trees or do I bring out the good ornaments and squirt bottle... hmmmmm
I think I definitely NEED that DRINK!!!
BTW... j'adore YOUR tree!

Every year I dread getting it all out...because I decorate up big for Halloween and I really am tired of all the extras and enjoying having my home back to normal. But then my neighbors start decorating and I just feel like I have to. Once I start getting it all out...I get into it. I'm like you....I put tons of ornaments on and it takes soooo long.

But....I have not started my tree yet...because I'm working on a project...but I will soon. Really....I don't like a tree up too early but then I get so busy going to parties, that it has to go up early because you get too busy as it gets closer to christmas.

This weekend...for sure. Although my first Christmas Party is this weekend.

I wonder what Teddy thinks of his new Christmas tree? As usual--it is divine. Thanks for getting me into the Christmas spirit. Merry, Merry.

I've gotta be honest, I never thought I could love a white tree, but this is PERFECTION! It looks absolutely gorgeous!

I spent my Tuesday decorating the abode, but it pales in comparison to what you have going on. I need to step up my holiday game!

My sweet skinny tree is up and done again this year...wreaths for all the doors are still in their boxes...clients and sick cat keeping me busy...

Wow, Beautiful! I love how you did that tree. What a great idea.
Love the bar cart, too. We need one of those.

I wish I could but with a five year old you can't skip out on the tree. My Mother-in-law has the same tree but yours looks much prettier!

Just getting started, m21, but thank goodness for a houseful of teenagers for all the tiresome stuff... I'll save the delights for me along with a glass of champagne!
Merry, merry! :)

Your tree is fab!
It looks totally chic, not cheap!

Not doing my tree until the 12th this year, which is sort of horrifying me.

Pass that mulled wine...
