Hero Arts Color Layering Cardinal

A colour layering stamp was missing from my life until I ordered the Hero Arts Color Layering Cardinal.

That was my first attempt to do layered stamping and it was not that easy than I expected. Very important to have 3 different shades from the same colour to layer, a stamping tool to be able to repeat the stamping and a good quality paper is essential too.

So here are my two cards with two colour variations.

For this, I used the following Ranger Archival colours:

Tree: Potting Soil, Olive

Cardinal: Rose Madder, Carnation Red, Vermillion, Jet Black

And here is the lighter version

Tree: Potting Soil, Ranger Distress Mawed Lawn

Cardinal: Pink Peony, Carnation Red, Vermillion, Jet Black

With red glitter liners I made berries to the branches so they turned into more fantasy trees than real pine trees :-)

Hero Arts Spring Gems

When I once saw a card with the Hero Arts Spring Gems stamp at the Pinterest, I knew immediately that this stamp is a must for me!

And because it's soon October which means two birthdays in my family (mother, mother-in-law) I made two cards with this stamp.

For my cards, I used white embossing powder, kraft papers and Zig Clean markers.

For the text, I used a retired stamp set, from the Clearly Besotted (Happy Days) and a Die-Namics die, Stitched Fishtail Flags.

Travelling card - Where?

I wanted to make a little different travelling card which isn't about how fantastic is the travelling. It is, anyway, but before the travelling there is a long procedure to choose the destination. And if you are a big family where everyone has a preference it's rather difficult to decide.

On my card this little chap is quite desperate because he can't decide "where" he can go. London? New York? Paris?

What I used:

Sizzix Framelits Die, Ractangles

With this card I would like to join the Monday Challenge of the Simon Says Stamp blog: World Traveler.
