Back On The Color Track!

Ondanks het hopeloze rotweer heb ik toch alvast de lente in huis gehaald

Despite the dreadful wheater I just added some Spring in my home


Ik naaide een aantal Tilda vogeltjes in lieve kleurtjes

I sewed a few little Tilda birds in sweet colors

Zo makkelijk om te doen en met wat restjes stof kom je al een heel eind

So easy to do and all you need are some fabric scraps

Om het niet al te flets te maken zette ik er het oude groene vogelkooitje bij

I didn't want it to look too pale so for some fresh color I added the old green birdcage

De stoelen kregen weer hun witte hoes en een paar nieuwe kussentjes (de rose slechts 2,95 bij Blokker)

The chairs got their white covers again and a few new pillows (the pink ones were just 2,95 at Blokker)

Met bloemen kun je net dat extra kleuraccentje geven

With flowers you can just add that little extra touch of color

En met paaseitjes natuurlijk ook!

And you can do that with chocolate eggs too of course!

Van m'n verjaardagsgeld wat lieve vaasjes gekocht en gevuld

I bought these cute little vases and flowers from my birthday money

Voor de bank maakte ik dit grijs-groene kussen

For the couch I made this grey-ish green-ish cushion

Natuurlijk weer niet te moeilijk want m'n naaikunsten zijn niet om over naar huis te schrijven, met een gewone kussensloopsluiting aan de achterkant

Of course not too difficult cause my sewing skills are not so good, just with a pillow shut on the back

Zelfs het hondenbedje kreeg een paar zelfgemaakte kussentjes, Freddie vind het wel best

Even the dogs bed got some new cushion covers, for Freddie it doesn't matter

En eindelijk had ik nu een plekje voor dit lieve oude popje dat ik heel lang geleden eens kocht op een rommelmarkt omdat ik het zo'n lieverdje vond, zo in het rose

And finally I had a spot for this sweet little old doll I bought a long time ago on a fleamarket cause I thought she looked so adorable in pink

Ik ben klaar voor de lente, als het nu ook nog eens ophield met regenen..... Met deze post wil ik graag meedoen met Fleur en Kleur op Woensdag

December Daily: Day 23 - Christmas Livingroom

Zijn jullie er klaar voor? Hebben jullie een pot thee of koffie bij de hand? Eventueel een pak lekkere koekjes? Zorg dat je naar het toilet geweest bent, want deze rondleiding kan wel eventjes duren!

Are you ready? Do you have a pot tea or coffee by hand? Maybe a box of yummie cookies? See that you've been to the toilet, cause this tour can take a while!

Dit is vanuit de keuken de linkerkant van de kamer

This is, from the kitchen, the leftside of the livingroom

De plank boven de bank, perfect om van alles uit te stallen

The shelf above the couch, perfect to show all sorts of things

Hier mijn Vriendschapsmuisjes

Tussen allemaal oude spulletjes en kaarslicht

Between all kinds of old things and candlelight

Comfortabele kussens op de bank, heerlijk om je ertussen te nestelen

Comfy cushions on the couch, lovely to snuggle up

Onder het kleine raampje 2 fauteuiltjes

Under the little window 2 arm chairs

Alle zoetigheden, klaar voor 1e kerstdag

All the sweets, ready for Christmas

Enne... ik heb er echt nog niets van gesnoept!

And... I really didn't nibble from it!

Ik voegde er nog een paar kleine dingetjes aan toe, denk dat het goed is zo

I added some little things, think it's okay this way

We gaan met de klok mee, de salontafel en de tv kast

We go clockwise, the coffee table and the tv cabinet

Met een simpel boeketje van groen en wat bessentakjes

With a simple bouquet of green and some berry branches

Een klein stilleven op de kast, onder de kerstslinger

A little vignette on the cabinet, under the Christmas Garland

De kerstsokken hangen al klaar

The Christmas stockings are hanging

Kaarsen op de eettafel

Candles on the dining table

Lichtjes in het vliegenkastje

Lights in the meat safe

Daar boven een oud bakblik
Above an old baking mold

Met oude kerstballen

With vintage baubles

De kerstkaartenhanger

The Christmas card hanger

Met speciale kaarten

With special cards

En natuurlijk m'n zelfgemaakte kerstengeltje!

And of course my handmade Christmas angel!

M'n brocante rek

My vintage rack

Het heeft niet veel nodig

It doesn't need much

Om een echt kerstsfeertje op te roepen

To summon a real Christmas atmosphere

Alles mooi in het wit

All lovely whites

Gewoon een paar kleine rode bessentakjes

Just a few little red berry branches

En een paar kleine rode accenten, meer heeft het niet nodig

And a few little red accents, it doesn't need more

Alleen nog wat kaarslicht en een prachtige ster (mooi istie Ester!)

Just some candlelight and a beautiful star (it's lovely Ester!)

De hondjes maken ons huishouden compleet

The little doggies make our household complete

Zij vinden alles best!

They don't matter!

And The Story Continues...

Elke keer komt er weer iets meer herfst het huis binnen geslopen...

Each time a little bit Fall is entering the house more and more...

... kaarsjes en prachtige vruchtjes...

... candlelight and beautiful fruits...

... en de stekeltjes... die vallen wel mee hoor!

.. and those thorns... well they're not so bad!

Ook zijn de witte kussenhoesjes weer vervangen, door die van Braxton, ooit eens gekocht bij m'n zusje en ik vind ze nog steeds geweldig!

The white cushion covers are replaced by the ones from Braxton, bought them ages ago at my sister's shop and I still love them!

En dit jaar voor het eerst een heuse herfstboom! Ik kreeg het stofje van Eline's Winterhuis binnen van Gepke en was opslag verliefd op al die schattige figuurtjes en maakte er al deze hangertjes van. This year we've a real Fall tree in the house! I received the fabric of Eline's Winter House from Gepke and I immediately fell in love with the cute figures and made these little hangers of them. Do you like to read more about this creative proces, you can hop over to My Everyday Handmades...

Staat weer zo gezellig! Ook de plaid over de bank is weer uit de mand gekomen, eveneens van Braxton

Ah, it looks so cosy! I took out the quilt on the couch, that one is from Braxton too

En ook weer een klein cupcake verhaaltje!

And another little cupcake story!

Ja ik weet het, ik vlieg van de herfst naar de kerst, maar ik vond ze zóóó schattig! Kon ze echt niet laten staan! (En volgens mij waren ze nu alweer op ook!)

Yep, I know, I hop from Fall to Christmas, but I loved them sóóó much! Couldn't resist them! (And I think they're sold out already!)

Mijn kerst wordt dus rood/wit met een vleugje rose!

My Christmas will be red/white with splashes of pink!

De glazen hangpotjes heb ik trouwens nieuw, komen bij m'n zusje vandaan: Bloembinderij Ma-d'r-Liefjes, als je in de buurt bent moet je echt eens een kijkje bij haar nemen, ze zit in Anna Paulowna!
