The mailman is working overtime!

De postbode heeft afgelopen week werkelijk overuren gedraaid aan ons huisadres! Als eerste het pakketje uit de USA, de Spring-Surprise-Swap georganiseerd door de Dutch Sisters waar ik aan mee had gedaan, was gearriveerd. Zoals jullie kunnen zien was Christa mijn swappartner! De opdracht was: maak iets leuks en lente-achtigs voor je partner en voeg hier 2 fq van je mooiste stofjes bij.
The mailman was really working overtime last week! He visited our house frequently these days! First of all, my parcel from the USA arrived. It was from Christa as you can see, my swappartner of the Spring-Surprise-Swap, organized by the Dutch Sisters. The assignment was: make something nice and Springy for your partner and add 2 fq of your most beautiful fabrics.





Kijk toch eens wat een prachtig hart zij voor mij gemaakt heeft! En natuurlijk helemaal mijn kleurtjes! Die stofjes, daar wordt je toch opslag vrolijk van!

Look what a beautiful heart she made me! And so my colors! Those fabrics make you happy right away!

Hij hangt hier prachtig, dank je wel Christa! Ik ben er superblij mee!
This is the right spot for it, thank you so very much Christa! It really made me happy!

En dit was mijn pakketje dat richting USA ging.
And this was my parcel going to the USA.

Dit hartje met popje is een patroontje van Atelier Bep, zóóó leuk om te maken. Ga er gauw ook nog eens eentje voor mezelf maken!
This heart and little doll-pattern is from Atelier Bep, sóóó nice to make. Gonna make one myself too asap!

Ook nog 2 Tilda vogeltjes er bij gedaan voor het echte lente-gevoel!
Also added 2 little Tilda-birds for that special Spring feeling!

Maar dat was nog niet alles! Ahum, nog een pakje voor, jawel!, MEVROUW van Trappen! Oeps, dat klinkt wel erg officieel hè!
But that was not all! Ahum, another parcel for, yep you read it right!, MRS. van Trappen! Oops, that sounds officially hey!

Maar niks is minder waar hoor! Het was gewoon een heerlijk pakje vol leuke en zalig geurende kadootjes! Zomaar, voor mij en ook nog voor Bo! Zij kreeg deze geweldige Hello Kitty hanger (we hebben er een broche van gemaakt), samen met een paar overheerlijke chocolade eitjes en een schattige matroesjka. Je had haar gezichtje eens moeten zien! Ze vond het prachtig!
But don't worry! It was just a lovely package full of pretty and yummie scented gifts! Just like that, for me and also for Bo! She got this great Hello Kitty hanger (we made a brooche of it), together with a few chocolate eggs and a cute matroesjka. You must have seen her face! She loved it!

Maar ook voor mij zat er iets in. Tjee, toch zonde om open te maken dit! En zo rook het ook al heerlijk!
But there was also something for me. OMG, it's a pity to open this pretty parcel! And it smelled so good anyway!

Nou ja, toch maar gedaan natuurlijk en deze supermooie hanger zat er in! Aan de ene kant deze "enveloppe",
Well, I opened it nevertheless and this gorgeous hanger was in it! At one side this "envelope",

aan de andere kant een schattige paashanger!
on the other side a cute Easter-hanger!

Zomaar gekregen, van Cindy en de dames van haar Cackle Club! (En wie dat zijn, dat gaan jullie maar eens uitvissen op haar geweldig leuke blog!)

Lieve Cin, ik wil je nogmaals heel erg bedanken voor dit spontane kadootje, ik vind het helemaal geweldig (maar dat wist je geloof ik al!). Dikke kus *smak* van mij voor jou!

En na wat perikelen van verdwenen pakjes, kwam dan toch nog m'n pakketje van m'n swapmaatje Moon aan! Vinden jullie dit er niet super leuk uitzien?!?

And after the mysterious dissappearing packages-story, finally my parcel from my swap-buddy Moon arrived! Don't you think this looks cute?!?

En binnen in het doosje zat deze overheerlijke kaneel lollie! Ha, wat een perfect kado voor zo'n zoete kauw als dat ik ben! Ook m'n kindertjes stonden er watertandend bij te kijken!
And within the little box there was this yummie cinnamon lollipop! Ha, what a perfect gift for a sweet tooth like me! My kids were drooling next to me!

Maar dat was nog niet alles, er zat nog een heel pakket scrapspulletjes bij en een schattige pannenlap met cupcake.

But that was not all, she sent me a whole package full of scrapgoodies and a very cute cupcake potholder.

En een héééle stapel poezieplaatjes!
And lots (and with lots I mean lóts!) of german pictures!

Ook zo leuk allemaal! Jemig, wat ben ik verwend! Dit had natuurlijk helemaal niet gehoeven lieve Moon, maar ik ben er wel héél blij mee!

En wat denken jullie, genoeg rood om mee te doen met Rednesday? Vast wel! Neem een kijkje bij Sue voor meer deelnemers!

All so pretty! I'm sóóó spoiled! Sweet Moon I really appreciate you've sent me another present. You are the best, thank you so much! I'm really happy with it!

Nog een paar dagen tot het Pasen is. Ik duim voor mooi weer! Op het moment ben ik nog een kadootje aan het afmaken voor m'n moeder die 2e paasdag haar verjaardag viert en ben ik nog op de valreep nog wat paasdecoraties aan het maken. Wat dat allemaal geworden is zien jullie volgende keer!

Only a few days till Easter! I'm crossing my fingers for some lovely weather! At the moment I'm finishing a present for my mom and some Easter decorations. Wait and see next time!

Dit kwam vorige week met de postbode mee: een oude Libelle uit 1953 en een oud kinderboekje, zomaar gekregen van Hannie! Lief hè!

This brought the mailman last week: an old Libelle ( Dutch women's magazine) from 1953 and this vintage children's book, I got it from Hannie, just like that! Sweet hûh!

Poeh, ik ben blij dat deze tailles niet meer in de mode zijn! Maar wel geweldig om te zien!
Poeh, I'm glad these waists aren't fashionable anymore! But great to look at!

This gorgeous tin I use to throw all the tea bags in. Maybe not so practical, but very nice and easy!

En de "Much-More-Post" gaat maar door! Ik kreeg namelijk ook nog deze prachtige award van Kind an Huys! Anne, ontzettend bedankt! Ik heb 2 posten terug al allerlei (eigen)aardigheidjes over mezelf verteld en ik geloof niet dat ik er nog meer weet te bedenken (m'n mannetje vast wel, maar aan hem vraag ik het maar niet, hahaha!).

Eén van m'n grootste verzamelingen. Ik ben gek op oude schalen, borden, kommen, juskommen, nou ja, je noemt het maar en ik en ik ben d'r gek op! Wel het liefst in crème, wit en rood tinten.

One of my biggest collections. I love old dishes, plates, bowls, saucers, well, you name it and I love it! My favourite colors are creamy, white and red.

Nog een liefde van mij! Sommige alleen voor decoratie, anderen worden daadwerkelijk gebruikt!

Another love of mine! Some just for decoration, others for use!

Children's stuff:

Jullie zien het al, ik kan weer eens niet kiezen! Deze collectie vind ik namelijk ook helemaal geweldig! Al deze kleine souvenierspopjes zijn op een plank in het kamertje van Bo. Gelukkig vindt zij ze net zo leuk als haar moeder (anders hadden we inmiddels een groot probleem!)

As you see, I can't make a choice (again!)! This collection I love too!! It's so cute, all these lovely little souvenir-dolls! They're standing on a shelf in Bo's room. Luckily she loves them too (otherwise we had a huge problem I'm afraid!)

Niet alleen popjes, maar ook kinderboeken- en spelletjes zijn favoriet!

Not only dolls but also children's books- and games are favorites of mine!

En dit is een ander gedeelte van die verzameling, dat staat in Luuk z'n kamertje. Hoewel hij meer geinteresseerd is in voetbal vindt hij het toch wel leuk ( nou ja, een klein beetje!)

And this is another part of that collection, standing on Luuk's room. Although he's more interested in football he just likes it (well, a little!)

F.O.T.W.

Geen gekochte vondsten deze week, maar gekregen van mijn schoonmoeder! Heel dierbaar en speciaal! Een heel oud boekje van Assepoester en een costumière boek dat zij op haar beurt weer gekregen heeft van haar moeder. Hier in maakte zij tekeningen en beschrijvingen van kleding. En dit is natuurlijk van zeer lang geleden, een tijd waarin het nog niet zo gewoon was dat een vrouw iets mocht leren. En dat handschrift is ook zo prachtig, zo wordt er tegenwoordig bijna niet meer geschreven!

No buyings this week, but 2 gifts I got from my MIL. Very dear and special! A very old book of Cinderella and a costumière book she on her turn got from her mother. In this book she made sketches and notes of the costumes she designed. And this is of course from a very long time ago, at that time it was very extraordinary for a woman to study. Oh, and the writing is beautiful, you almost don't see that anymore these days!

Hello mister postman!

Deze week gingen de spulletjes op de bus voor de swap van het Picasa woonforum. Dit is wat ik gekregen heb:

This week we had to post the things we made for a swap at the Picasa homedecoration-forum. This is what I recieved:

Allemaal leuke spulletjes om me de winter door te helpen! Ze maakte een schitterende NOEL-slinger en hele schattige hangertjes van kleine takjes voor in de boom. Verder heeft ze me met nog veel meer leuke spulletjes verwend, dus ik denk dat de swap zeer geslaagd is! Nogmaals bedankt Marlotte!

All kinds of lovely stuff to help me through the winter! She made a beautiful NOEL-garland, and cute tree-hangers of little twigs. Further on she spoiled me with other pretty things, so I think this was a great swap!

Allemaal lieve en mooie spulletjes die ik besteld had bij Karin van Zink en Zo! Echt de moeite waard om eens een bezoekje te brengen aan haar winkel!

All kinds of sweet and pretty stuff I ordered at Karin from Zink en Zo! It's absolutely worth the effort to take a look at her webstore!

En als laatste kreeg ik een pakje van Margriet met een enorme berg geponste scalloped circels en bijpassende gewone circels. In ruil voor het vel papier, waar ze om zat te springen, dat ik haar gestuurd had. Helemaal te gek! En zien jullie die geweldige kaart die zij erbij gemaakt heeft?!? Meid, ik vind het echt super! Je weet dat het helemaal niet had gehoeven, maar ik ben er echt reuzeblij mee! Nu ga ik weer hard aan de scrap, want dinsdag vertrek ik al naar de Kreadoe. Ik weet niet wanneer ik weer aan bloggen toekom, maar dat merken jullie wel! Dus als ik een tijdje niet bij jullie langskom dan weten jullie hoe dat komt! Voor nu nog een hele fijne zondag en tot later!

And at least I recieved a very lovely package from Margriet! A great ammount of punched scalloped circles and matching regular circles! I had sent her a sheet of paper she needed and in return I got all this! And do you see that beautiful card she made me?!? Girl I love it!!!! You know it, it was not necessary, but I'm very happy with it!

Now, I've to scrap a lot today because Tuesday I'm off for the Kreadoe! So I don't know when I'll blog again, but till than have a great time!
