Thanks to lewrockwell.com for posting this article from the New American regarding the NSA and its desire to watch, listen, record, etc. everything we say and do, every day, all year long. All of those dystopian sci-fi flicks the past 20 years, entertaining us with the idea that governments were everywhere - are actually coming true.
Taxpayer dollars being used to create a massive surveillance center to spy on - yes, taxpayers! For some reason, I wish I was born in like 1640 and lived until 1725 or so. I would have been 99.9% free, with a life basically untouched by government. Those were the days.
In a civilized society, should anyone or any government ever force anyone to do anything against his or her will as long as that person does not infringe upon the life, liberty, or property of another?

Super government spying center
Thanks to lewrockwell.com for a heads-up on the new super duper "cyber security" center in Utah. The government is spending $1.5 billion of our money so they can more effectively listen to everything we say and look at everything we post. You know all those futuristic sci-fi movies about how the government controls everything and watches everyone? Well, if you missed any, don't worry. We're in that society now. Read the article here.

Super Secret NSA to be used on Americans
As you can read here, the super secret National Security Agency, which has the capacity to monitor each one of us (read our e-mails, listen to our phone calls, etc. etc.), will be used to keep an eye on the internet and other cybersecurity issues. The NSA allegedly has the computer storage capacity to hold every American's e-mails for ten years. That trillions of e-mails in their database, if they choose.
I feel safer already, now that Big Brother is watching.
