In a civilized society, should anyone or any government ever force anyone to do anything against his or her will as long as that person does not infringe upon the life, liberty, or property of another?

Murphy teaching Anarcho-Capitalism

Robert Murphy is teaching this Mises Institute online class.  Very worthwhile!  Murphy's a great economist and will provide you with "ammunition" to fight off the statists.  Read about the class here.

Increased dependency on the nanny state

The government loves when people are dependent on the government.  Right now 1 in 7 Americans get assistance from the government, and 47 million Americans receive food stamps.  But the government wants MORE people to have food stamps.  As you can read in this article, the government is encouraging people to throw food stamp "parties" so more can sign up.  Since the participation rate among the poor is only 72%, the government wants that to increase to 100%.  With more dependency, a cranky Supreme Court ruling that Obamacare is okay, and a trillion a year to support the empire, the U.S. is heading at a high rate of speed for a complete financial meltdown.  Get prepared.  Maybe we all should watch that new show, "Preppers."

Obamacare

Now that the Supreme Court has upheld Obamacare, what will happen the first week of 2014?  The full plan goes into effect Jan. 1, 2014, and everyone will have "care."  Somewhere between 32 and 47 million Americans are underinsured and uninsured.  So will these people start smiling and dialing and making doctor's appointments?  Probably.  Wouldn't you?  After all, the government has stipulated no one can be turned down and everyone has care.  Knowing that the previously uninsured will make appointments, will millions of insured, not wanting to get shut out, also make appointments?

History proves that you get five outcomes with socialism: longer and longer lines, shortages, higher taxes, lower quality, and finally, rationing.  My prediction is that Americans will lose their collective minds by 2020 after a full six years of this amazingly horrible plan.  It will be an absolute disaster.  Welcom to the USSA - the Union of Amerikan Socialist Republics.

Watching the globe

Soon there will be no place on the earth free of U.S. government surveillance.  As you can read here, the U.S. is expanding its surveillance through more bases, now in Africa.  Of course, this is all at taxpayer's expense.  Also, don't forget that the government also has the power, and has already used it, to fly surveillance drones here in the good 'ol U.S.A., the "most free" country in the world (lol).  The other day a drone crashed in Maryland.  If you hear a funny sound, look up - they may be watching you - so behave like a good little compliant citizen.

Print! Print! Print!

The knuckleheads who run the central banks around the world, from "Helicopter" Ben Bernanke here at the Fed to the littlest central banker somewhere on the globe, know how to do only one thing: create more money out of thin air.  Read this article here that explains what they've been up to and what they may continue to do.  At some point they won't be able to print (actually electronically create) any more money.  Then what?  You guessed it: global depression that will make the 1930's depression look like a walk in the park.  Own any precious metals or a case of fine scotch?  You should.

Another 9/11 on the way?

Thanks to antiwar.com for publishing this Salon article by Glen Greenwald.  Read it here.  As usual, Greenwald gets it right.  How can we expect people to leave us alone when we murder and destroy around the globe?  If any country flew even one drone into the U.S. and killed one American, millions of Americans would be screaming for retaliation.  Yet the U.S. sends drones into many countries EVERY week.  Let's leave the world alone and just trade with people.  Nothing promotes peace as much as true free trade (true meaning ZERO government involvement).

Creating enemies around the globe, one drone at at time

As the U.S. continues the use of drones in several countries, the level of hatred against America grows steadily.  As you can read here, people switch sides after their loved ones are murdered by a U.S. drone.  When the next 9/11 style attack occurs in America, who are you going to blame - some little guy from a village somewhere whose father was killed by a drone?
