Monday Mania - Gift box and Cards

Good Morning, I managed to grab a little crafting time yesterday, as well as fun out in the sunshine with the children, seeing as the OH finished his shift, soooo nice and I got myself the fabulous new Spotlight stamp kit... All I can say is WOW the quality and stunning design is so awesome!!! I'm not much of a scrapbooker but so love this set, will use it for many cards I think!!! Today's Challenge over at Club Anya & Friends is to create a gift and card... I've combined the two hee hee!!
I have made a gift box to hold some stamped note-cards. Very simple inch depth box, simply covered with a little patterned paper and adorned with some shrink plastic embellishments and the fantastic heart tab tag (love).
I decided the butterfly in the kit was a little large for my design, so went striaght for the shrink plastic! they are adorable little embellishments I added a little bling too! This is the close up of Anya on shrink plastic I have coloured her the same as the note-cards and created a dinky chain from links.
I have created four little note-cards to fit in my box... each needs turning 90 degrees to allow for the thickness of the butterfly... LOL! The front I have cut the edge with 'on the edge' die.
I have stamped the adorable cute Anya and masked her off... to then stamp the textured strip image over the top in distress inks. While the mask is still in place I have inked the edges with distress inks and my blending tool.
I really tried to create a very soft colour pallette using the markers I have in my collection (I have requested the new pale pastel set for my birthday (tee hee). Managed to colour all four very quickly this way, less is more hey?
Can you believe I even managed to decorate this inside of my cards too? Woo hoo! I used some patterned paper, a little distress ink blending and one of the fabulous sentiments in the kit for the message!

Basic Grey Challenge #9

Hi everyone, its time for the next BasicGrey Challenge and this fortnight we have a great sketch to inspire you... by Tara G

To me this sketch was just screaming to be made into a set of notecards... I cut all the elements first, coloured the six images with my copic markers then cut with my nesties and tinted a frame. The finish to about 4 1/4" square quite small and super cute. All complete in an evening...

Supplies: Patterned Paper: BasicGrey: lemonade; PTI: Kraft card; Stamps: Stamping Bella: Ketto(s); PTI: Sentiments; Ink: memento: black; Copics: markers; Tim's Holtz: distress inks; Die's: Spellbinders: rectangles; Sizzix: bookplates; EKsuccess: border punch; WRMK: corner chomper; Other: American Crafts: ribbon; BG:brads; 3D foam;

Ok I'm really hoping this works.... This would be or should be my little video tutorial of my Flapper hair colouring.

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!!!

I haven't any talking or music sorry, still completely new at this, hope you like and any thoughts and tips would be wonderful. Thanks for stopping by today, HuGs Kim :)

Baptism Card and Album.

I created this card for the cute Thursday challenge, because I forgot to include the previous card with rabbit as an entry, so I'm way to late to be included for the candy....

Challenge 2
All Creatures Great and Small!
This week we would like to see creatures on your cards, they can be animals, birds, fish even dinosaurs or dragons. Absolutely any creature imaginable!

I based the card on sketch #7 Nicole's sketch, I mirrored the sketch.

This is a baptism card, I had always wanted to try the glitter effect on acetate. I stamped the cross with stazon then glued and glittered each colour. It's very impressive in Real life. To attach the acetate I used an eyelet in the centre so the corners are loose. Love this lamb, I die cut the lamb and inked all the edges.

I used my embossing folder for the paper behind the image. I would have inked the edges but forgot but I managed to ink the letters.

Then I made an album to create a set. The cover is made with grey board that I covered with patterned paper & the heart was die cut and I used acetate to keep the floating effect it's like a window. I embellished with Name and metal charm. Tied with ribbon. The year is done with rub ons.

DCM - Thank you

DCM - Dare... Team dare year end....4 of the best

Hi All. Today we have decided to revisit your most favourite dares of 2007. The four top dares, decided by the number of comments you made on them are (in no particular order): 'buttons', 'ribbons', ...'and cut' and 'frames'. We would like you to use this week as many of those dares as you like to make your card in any theme and any style.

My cards are a little late... a few has Buttons and all have frames which I created with my nestabilities, my cutting is the die cutting but I think it was meant to be hand cut! Then I continued the theme and created ten, I have lots of thank you cards to send.

Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments!

Ten Christmas Cards.... All the same but different

I was very busy last night and challenged myself to make a batch of Christmas cards and managed to complete ten. I'm usually quite a slow crafter so this is great achievement. But the cards I 've been making lately have left my home before I've even taken a photo to show you all, although it seems that I haven't blogged very much.

I used See D's Christmas stamps, borders and corners and Anna Griffin sentiment. My nestabilities (am loving these soo much) pigment pens and glitter pen. The papers are Basic grey Urban couture, DCWV textured.

Thanks for stopping by and all your wonderful comments!
